Side note. I am only driving about 7/10ths because 1) still on street tires (DWS06 Plus) and 2) I dont like to stay above 5k rpms too long unless I really need to
Main goal is to have fun without pushing the car to its full limits, but enough for me to have fun safely, and letting faster drivers pass

I watched 30 seconds of this video...and then stopped it when I realized you had an automatic (I should've looked at your title). Don't know why you went with an automatic. Maybe you can't drive stick? I won't be watching AT GR86 vids. Sorry.

No need to apologize. Transmission is a preference and the online automatic hate is expected. I can drive manual, but I didnt have the desire to have 6MT. At the end of the day, the 6AT still has the same chassis, engine, rwd, 4 tires, lsd and 6 gears to accelerate the car forward. But most importantly, its just my personal preference. To each their own.

​@FujiboHeavy Automatics get hate bc at the end of the day, manufacturers look at sales. In today's age, it cost a lot of money to have two different transmissions...so when they see people buying more automatic sports cars (for what reason people buy automatic sports cars I will never understand), they eventually start to phase out manuals. So for people who want a manual, we get screwed. That's why we hate. We don't care if the auto is 0.3 seconds faster, we just want the manual option at the end of the day.

@WatchMeBURNFuel Yup. I could care less about speed and lap times. But it all comes down to personal options. Im glad this car comes in auto. An affordable rwd sports coupe that anyone can hop in and experience the platform and never have to worry about money shifting or getting stuck in traffic. The paddle shifters ( although limits when you can downshift) is plenty fun for me if I want to manually select gears. Nothing will replace the experience of full control and manually clutch/change gears
