I visited there in 1998 with a guy whose family lived there in a really great house with an awesome basement that was so cozy! I was there for just 3 days..very very windy and it was during the summer. The diner was soooo nice! Great food and service! Unfortunately the nearest city was 60 miles away...too far! 😅

Great story thanks for sharing! Just about everything in Wyoming is pretty far away from everything else 🤠

@tanyatressler3132 We absolutely love Wyoming especially the Lander area. We made a couple little videos about the Sinks and the huge trout there. Now I want to go back and visit..✌️

Uranium mining became not financially sustainable. So it was abandoned

Give me a home where the Buffalo roamed..until the government screwed that up too..likely this is one of the safest cleanest places to live in america..lol perhaps only a small circle of friends, but in today's crazy world ,maybe that's not such a bad thing..there's something to be said for clean air, despite the fact it flows at 40 mph most of the time..lol winters are brutal up there on the sweetwater rim, and the 120 mile trip for groceries can be a hassle , but I bet the rentals are cheap if you can find one..the area is famous for its excellent rock hounding,if you enjoy that sport..and yes,the deer and antelope do still play there.

Exactly! I'd take it over most other places for sure! ✌️🤠

The only time I noticed the wind was when it stopped blowing.
