Ircha, if you like mystery based story, please please try out Danganronpa series and make a review about them please! If you can make let’s play it’d be better!
I was going to pass on Blue Reflection, but changed my mind after your review. Went ahead and put it on my Wishlist. Your recommendations are always fair and really informative, thank you! Edited to say: Picked up Mary Skelter 2 on sale last week and really enjoying my time with it. Recommended to anyone on the fence about it.
After seeing how expensive they first Blue Reflection game is I made sure to get Second Light as soon as it came out. I also have Mary Skelter both on ps vita and all 3 games for the Switch. That collector's edition looks very nice, kinda wish I had gotten that one instead of the regular edition. Congratulations on all of your subscribers, you deserve it because your videos are great.
Irene, you're certainly up there with the greats like Happy Console Gamer and Classic Gaming Quarterly. Your content helps and entertains other gamers. Keep up the great work.
As an absolutely huge Senran Kagura fan, I'm excited to see it appear on your channel! Too bad about the recommendation :( As exciting as the crossover game is, I am disappointed that it felt like not as much effort went into making it as good as a pure Nep or SK game. I'm intrigued by Blue Reflection, so I'll keep an eye out for that!
Hinako (Hina/Shirai Hinako) who joins the party shortly into the game, is actually the protagonist of the first game 'Blue reflection'. In fact Hina, Yuzu and Lime, are all from the first game which takes place one year before second light, and yup....... in a school setting lol
I love the art style for the Mary Skelter series. They look like such interesting games. I just got a Switch so I'm always looking for new games for the system.
Neptunia x Senran Kagura: Ninja Wars sounds like the type of game you can enjoy if you want to play idly and just grind and play similar missions, it's not going to be popular with everyone but I have to say I like the sound of it. No stress, no need to press forward too often, just relax and play as your favourite characters. I already play a similar game and I ended up playing for than 1000 hours. This is for me like mobile games are for other ppl. Also I got the demo for Blue Reflection 2 and def can't wait to try it. Mary Skelter series... hmmm maybe.
Gonna have to give Blue reflection try after this. I was a gust fan from the Ar tenelico days and was sad that they never released another one after Koei brought them. Lets see if blue reflection fills that void.
Love mary skelter series. I got platinum on the first on on PsVita, and mary skelter 2 was one of the reasons i bought a switch. I wish the switch had more drpg's since its probably my fav genre. Also im really glad to have found your channel, its awesome to see a true fan talk about games
It's so sad there is such a treasure of these DCRPG's in Japanese. I certainly haven't forgotten that ATLUS promised to bring Ettrian Oddyssy to the switch... But their dev team was split in two with half of the team leaving Sega when put on assistant mode for SEGA's mobile games department projects. EO might have not stood much of a chance on Switch, but I would have bought it.
Great reviews, thanks for sharing. For sure, a good mystery-driven game is always a winner. Have you played the Danganronpa games? More like visual novels, but def way more interactive than the average VN. Anyway, the mysteries in all 3 of the main series games were riveting. I recommend at least trying the first one if you haven't already!
@@ircha The first two are related. The third is kind of related. But definitely start with the first one. If you enjoy it, then it'll make you want to play the second. I'm pretty sure they just released the collection on the Switch, too.
I played Atelier Iris on ps2 years ago. So I was deciding which new Atelier game to try, and I found your channel. I decided to get Atelier Sophie 2. It's so beautiful. I love it. Thinking about buying Iris again for my ps2 though. Been playing star ocean the second story on it.
I love Blue Reflection - it’s one of my favourite Gust games - so I can’t wait to get the sequel. I’m only half way in to Mary Skelter 1 on Switch but have 2 and 3 ready to follow. Neptunia Spin-offs are not as good anymore. Where’s the Switch port for HyperDevotion Black please Compile Heart! (And Trinity Universe please)
I'm glad I discovered your channel. Your reviews are very good and we share the same love of Atelier and Neptunia games. I look forward to more from you. Keep up the delightful work :)
I wasn't going to bother with Blue Reflection but hearing it's similar to Ryza from your review is making me want to check it out. Plus I also enjoy mysterious plots. I liked Neptunia xSenran Kagura's game play because I love ninjas and the Neptunia series. But it should have a new game plus and additional content, besides the over challenging post-game tasks.
Blue Reflection is a wonderful series. Unfortunately, I'm seeing physical copies selling out at an alarming rate in Canada. It's going to become harder and harder to track a copy down.
So is that BRSL as good as Ryza 2? You are not very clear about that. Ryza 2 is my game of the year so it's a serious matter lol :-) I'm now finishing Xenoblade remake DLC and ordered Shin Megami Tensei V. Though I'm not sure which game I will start next.
It's gonna be major spoilers but Ryza 2 is also my GOTY. So no, it's not better than Ryza 2! 😁 Crafting and gathering is NOT as complex, as in an Atelier game. But you'll surely like BR if you like Atelier games. 😎
I've been on the fence with the Mary Skelter series for a while and I was going to pick up this Collectors Edition. But the thing is... as it turns out the game has been Refused Classification in my country. :( At least I can still get the 1st and 2nd game, which I picked up on the Switch with the current E-shop sale. It's been a blast so far. I'm so hype for 'Blue Reflection Second Light' my Special Collection Box version of the game is still on it's way; I can't wait to dive in. Loved the 1st game so much.
Wow nice! I recently started the first game now ❤️ 👍 though I can definitely tell that Second Light brought a ton of improvements. I enjoy Mary Skelter a ton too 😁😇
@@ircha I'll be the first to admit that 'Blue Reflection' had some issues. The visuals, music and characters are what makes it great. For both Blue Reflection games Playasia has physical copies of their soundtracks for sale; I got Second Light's OST for a gift and the 1st games one, is on it's way.
I've been dying to get into Mary Skelter, too bad my backlog makes it hard to justify getting adding 3 more RPGs, Specially with SMTV releasing recently. It's sad to see how downhill the Senran Kagura series has gone over time, mostly at fault with Sony being Sony and one of the developers being bought by a chinese company (from what I've heard).

I've never played an Atelier game but it's always so cozy listening to you explain them. Actually now I think the Atelier aesthetic reminds me of you. Perhaps they should make an Atelier Ircha game.
Recently, after seeing your review of the Atelier Mysterious Trilogy DX edition, I bought it, and have begun playing Atelier Sophie. OMG, this game gets better by the hour (even though the graphics of the environments aren't that good). After months of not wanting to play any games, Atelier Sophie got me hooked. :) -- Thanks for your review of Blue Reflection Second Light, I have the first game on PS4 and the second one seems to be so much better, I'll definitely want to try it. :)

I played the first Blue Reflection, and actually did enjoy it despite it being a bit repetitive and slow. It's not a very long game. My clear save file shows 46 hours, but about 10 of that is just sitting around on menu screens as I had a 2 year old at the time (she's 6 now) getting into everything. I also wasted a couple of hours getting a trophy (the one where you have to raise a monster and revert it back or something like that). Haven't played much into the second, but I can already notice the difference, Second light has more to do, and that's just the first 4 hours.
I played the first Blue Reflection and liked it and I'm liking this one too. Biggest difference between the two is setting. In the first game you actually go to school and class similar to Persona. I'm happy you find it an interesting series :) BTW, I'm curious about your opinion on Atelier Sophie 2 since it also got announced a couple of weeks ago.
Ircha I have a game recommendation that might be up your alley, I learned about it from Mack on his Worth a Buy channel, and just saw it on sale for $4 on Switch... called FAR: Lone Sails. It's a chill game where you push this big steam powered machine across a desolate land, kinda have to see it to get it but with you always saying you like chill games to wind down with, this is a great little quick one
I just got past the first big area in Shin Megami Tensei V, on hard, my first SMT game. It’s wicked hard, but I like it. Now I’m eyeing Persona 4 Gold, that’s on sale on Steam. I did DL the demo for Blue Reflection, but i only glanced for a few minutes before I got distracted. I played a fair amount of Atelier Ryza, to the point where you’re setting up your little clubhouse, and I _loved_ it… except the combat. The fighting is _so_ bad I couldn’t keep playing. :/
Also, for mary skelter, Marchen are the german name for FairyTales... yup, where the Fairytales comes from... Alice, Thumbelina, Sleeping beauty, Snow White, Red reding hood, see a pattern there? Read the visual novel of the first two games inside of Final to find out. (or play the second game before the first, to find out, and yes, in that order XD)
I've reached chapter 10 in Blue Reflection Second Light. I'm on "The Suspicious Ones" stealth mode quest. I'm in the fear zone and I'm rage quitting. I hope I don't need that quest for anything, I'm moving on. Love the game tho. Im not sure if I want to replay it... So many dates and sudden dates cut scenes
As tempting as it is, I do want to give Koei techmo my money but man those costume DLC packs just get too absurd and most games cost close to $200 here in Australia just to get the game plus all DLCs. It breaks my heart to skip the Atelier series especially when Ryza looked interesting.
I wanna try blue reflection and see if it is similar to mana khrmia on psp, but man gust games are really Expensive with the stupid overprized dlc. I don't really want to support them
Ok, the first blue reflection doesnt have the same gameplay than ryza and the Atelier games... but it does have the same feels. The first game is more a drama instead of a mystery.

Thanx for the recommendation for Mary Skelter. Been looking for a Dungeon Crawler for my Switch.
I'm enjoying Mary Skelter Finale as we speak! 😍 😁😁👍 Playing now
I assume you tried Diablo 3 too?
Je ne supporte pas sa voix 😅.
Ohhh this likes brilliant it completely passed me by. Anything by gust is exciting 🙂 love your channel and content
Yeah Pick it up on Ps4/Ps5 The switch version looks much worse...
Also These games hardly ever go on sale soo buy ur physical copy now this game will shoot up to 150-200$ here soon
I played a fair amount of Atelier Ryza, to the point where you’re setting up your little clubhouse, and I _loved_ it…
except the combat. The fighting is _so_ bad I couldn’t keep playing. :/
Mary Skelter 2 is on sale on the eShop and I have long considered it, but from the screenshots I’ve seen the characters look all the same.
Bra video 😍 æ fikk litt løst å kjøpe det første spille du prata om til PS4
Ja det syns æ nesten du skal! 😍 😍
I don't really want to support them
Except for the Mary Skelter game... the other two look like cheap mobile games to me... Thanks for the great reviews :) Enjoyed it a lot
If you liked Atelier Ryza combat system and stories maybe you should try the Grandia 1 and 2
Maybe even Lunar 1 and 2.
Ok, the first blue reflection doesnt have the same gameplay than ryza and the Atelier games... but it does have the same feels. The first game is more a drama instead of a mystery.
How can they not subscribe to your channel? You give great reviews! Not to mention those eyes! Mesmerizing! I wish I got the same eyes XD
