The taxation problem can be solved with the click of a button by enabling automanage for taxes. This auto-updates if you disband a unit. Saves you a lot of time. You can also navigate your cities using the ][ keys. No annoying menu popping up that way. So, quick recap: 1.Auto manage taxes 2.garrison management Start at your capital and cycle through the cities with the ] key until you end back at your capital again.
If you want to of course you can do that, but I don’t like the way the AI manages so I prefer to do it manually, and I think that is the best way including monitoring garrisons. Obviously this takes more time but imo is better overall. However if you aren’t a control freak like me auto manage is fine :)
The Seleucids is my second favorite faction after Rome in Imperium Surrectum. I started as Rome and just qonquered Italy and making some money and planning to invade Sicily. In my Rome 2 campaign I'm also ready to conquer with Triumvr Marcus Antonius for Regnum Antonii. Palmyra has lost and now after 11 turns our economy starts to boom and legions are prepared. In Attila I play Ancient empires as Rome too and just defeated Hannibal at Zama with only 631 losses. 👍
Are you going to review more factions? This would make an excellent series. May we see your research on the Athens faction sometime in the future? Either way, I am grateful for your work and for showing me this mod. +1 sub from me
Yes I will do bro, done a Sparta one for v0.4 as well! Problem is I have to play them significantly first, the next release I may play Athens as a campaign :)
Dont sleep on the missile cav lol , I'm playing as thrace atm in this mod and I can tell the game undervalues them because I get heroic victories left and right . Beat many a salucid army with mostly thracian missile cav
what im confused with is pretty much every building you make there is a minus tax percentage. so the more you upgrade the less money you make, kinda dumb
It’s to balance out the economy so you don’t snowball so easily, however I’ve found that it works well, because then you don’t rely on tax income, rather trade, farming and mining :)
You should not focus on trade early on, focus on farms and mines then you’ll make enough money. On top of that you need to conquer straight away otherwise you will lose money, be mega aggressive and then you’ll be fine
Thanks for posting this. I just started my Seleucid campaign on RIS and it was pretty overwhelming at the start. Very good advice here.
Thanks bro, I hope these tips work for you! :)

Nice bro unreal!
Rome is fun, can’t wait until they’re finished! 😁
Watching this a year later reminds me how much better it is without the colony system.
Haha ye
They are like the western Roman empire on vh/vh
Exactly :)

Ye they are really strong I know, I just don’t enjoy using them, too much micro for me :)

@@Red_Zed which makes it nearly impossible to conquer the map cause with no trade partners then your basically not making money

@@Tarhockey33 You can still snowball mid-late game you just have to change your focus like he said to farms and mines early and aggressive conquest.
