Blanke & AU5?!?! Yoo this is fire 🔥Blanke's Emergence EP is the best EP of 2024 in my personal opinion! The 6 tracks we get in the EP is stacked, and it includes this track! Heaven and Turmoil are my favorite ones of the EP! Blanke you did a phenomenal job and all the artists featured on this EP!

Honestly, a bit tame for Austin / Au5, but it is still a really catchy track for closing this week's releases. I will listen to it a few more times to get a bigger picture, that's for sure. 😉

Edit:
- The upside is that it is really awesome to see them blending their own styles together in it!
- However, I think a slight downside / small issue is that the kick in the 2nd drop should have a crispy and cut-through transient. By doing so, when one is on their phone (or similar sound systems like speakers), they can hear it from afar. (So far, no problem with the kick in 1st drop, so that's good.)
- I also think the song itself is a tad bit empty in some parts. It's not bad, but I mean, just listen to it and you'll know why. 😅
That's my feedback on it. Don't worry, it's still doing great in terms of mixing (and they can't go wrong with it, especially Au5. There are a loooot more stuff to learn from Austin's songs!). 💯
Yeah I’m not one to typically agree on this matter of opinions but I will agree that I’ve been following Austin since the beginning of time (iconoclast EP) days and following his trends from either podcasts or other work he’s doing he’s not once mentioned how “proud” he was of this or built up a hype to it like a couple weeks before hand and I think he does this when he doesn’t feel like he’s had much involvement in the track that’s at least my opinion on how he may feel. I just feel like I woulda heard him mention this a couple times or tagged everyone in his discord over this collab and from my knowledge he didn’t do that.

That's all fine. To be fair, everyone doesn't have to agree with my opinion since they have theirs, and you have yours too. Again, I think it is slightly tame, but it's still doing great overall (and not substandard, at least). I'm sometimes too picky about technical stuff, so I'm sorry if this offends anyone. But, sometimes imperfections or impurities bring perfection, and that's enough. Otherwise, going overboard is not too good as well. 😄
Also, I saw that Austin had a talk with Mr. Bill on Mr. Bill's podcast, and it happened several times. Although I have watched a part of it on my Insta (I haven't watched it all), I assumed that they were having a convo about sound design in general, and it's fascinating to see Bill's new cool plugin "Artist Brain" or something like that. However, I agree that I still have a lot more to know about Austin, including his "Iconoclast EP" that I have never heard of before (an oldie - released about 12 years ago!).

Makes sense. This one is more of a surprise from Au5, I guess? The preview on Au5's Insta was released two days ago (20/3/2024) but he said the song was two years in the making with Blanke. So, I'm not sure if Austin's statement contradicts yours? 🤔💭
@@Ready4Music ah well one Instagram post verses his usual over zealous amount of posts he will build the hype up and then drop links in his discord usually about it and I’m not saying he’s not proud of it at all I’m just saying I have a strong feeling he will engage his social media etc… with various posts the more and more excited he is to show his work of art meanwhile he’s done releases with very very minimal advertisement and it’s pretty much what you’d expect to see just like above ^

@@Ready4Music pretty much he’s got a good track history of that his prideful ness usually results In just how much more the art style sounds more towards his usual work than it is with someone else involved. I think the only time that he had a lot of encouragement from other artists back in the day as if it was his own was when he use to work with fractal and NGL I still wish he did they were like the OG Duo

Awesome song but for some reason the 2nd drop doesn't hit for me. It sounds too muffled compared to the intensity of the first drop. My thought that it was more Blanke than Au5
