Will the house owners accept someone who has not arrived in their country..I mean can we book a room before coming to canada..just so we don't have much stress cz there are a lot of things to do after arriving.. But will it be possible.. I do absolutely want to book it before coming to canada..
U said bill for hydroelectricity..can u plz breakdown the type of bills which someone living in a house has to pay..in a Pou room.. 1.hydroelectricty which is basically the electricity bill.. 2..... What about gas..for cooking.. Water bill..
Can u tell me about the mobile and the data plans there..I mean how is it..in India I know how is it..we take a pack..and in 300 we would get 2gb per day for 28 days with unlimited calls....and can also add on data in just Rs.15(2gb),Rs.215(30gb) Are the packs or plans as low as in India or are very costly... I'm actually someone who uses a lot of data.. And also how much will I have to pay for international calling..like to call my parents..

My classes will commence from 1st Sep 2023 and hence looking to move in by the end of August. I haven’t gotten my visa yet but expecting it by the end of july. My preferences are: 1) I don’t mind living in a basement or a small room but cannot compromise privacy. Hence, No shared washroom or kitchen. 2) looking for the Heat, hydro, washer, and dryer be included. If not, will give it a thought if the price compensates. 3) Budget is CAD 700-1000. Your input and suggestion will be appreciated. Thank you.

Hello Keetu, thank you for sharing your experience. I have 3 questions. First one, how much is the security/damage deposit. Second, usually how much time it take to find a part time job. Third, I see unemployment rate is above 10% in NL, so are there enough full time jobs after graduation? I'll be joining mun in September 22 in Masters in energy systems engineering
1. Depends on the rent of the house.. there’s no fixed amount.. 2. Atleast 2 weeks if you know someone who can get you connected.. it’s fairly easy.. 3. That will totally depend on you.. if you are fit for a job, you will get it immediately.. 4. I prefer emails and comments to communicate with my followers..
I'm currently outside Canada and planning to travel at st.johns by December I'm looking for housing off campus mun. Can you suggest how i can look for housing as I'm outside Canada. Please could you let me know

You can do online payment or cash depending on what the landlord wants.. Canadian government has nothing to do with this as far as I know..
I don't like the POU and damage deposit system of Canada besides judge or treat people on the basis of ethnicity or race.
I think it’s okay to pay damage deposit. If you feel you were treated poorly please report it to the Landlord Tenant Board.

The answer is yes and no.. Yes if you have a temporary accommodation when you land.. No if there’s nothing arranged prior to your arrival..
Currently searching accommodation right now. Will be in St. John’s this Wednesday 18th August but haven’t secured an apartment yet.
