what a beautiful Timber rattler!! they are protected in some states.. not sure about here in Alabama.. I have relocated 4 of them waaaay out into the woods.. Thank you for not killing it!!!

Beautiful snake! It should also be noted that not all rattlesnakes are the same...I came across a 5'+ Diamondback a couple years back in the Blackwater State Forest, and I was still about 12 feet away from him when he went full-on-I'll-bite-you defensive. I decided to take my video footage of him from there, then he and I went about our business! Stay Safe!
Wow...that's probably my worst nightmare! When I was a kid we camped in Cherokee NC every summer and always tubed down the river. I saw a HUGE rattlesnake (dead) stretched on the rocks, 9-10 buttons. 😬

I live in Eastern Ky we have Cooperheads here and Rattlesnakes and from what I’ve seen and heard they will both bite and you could die from the rattlesnakes bite so you people here do if they see them.
