Fast Show has to be one of the funniest shows ever. Paul Whitehouse is hilarious. He plays one of the members of the group Slade with Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer. Cracks you up.😊
Paul Whitehouse, Charlie Higson,Vic reeves and Bob Mortimer the funniest people on telly at that time, people these days don't know what they've missed 😀
@@johnkavanagh3830 The charictor is loosly based on a mix of Arthur askey and max miller. This particular sketch is, i think based on the will hey movie " the goose steps out".. These are just educated guesses though, as i remember that movie from when i was a child being on BB2 in a week day evening. It was the night my dad swore he saw a UFO while out walking the dog so thats why it stuck in my mind lol😅😅😅🛸🛸👽👾
George Formby was the biggest British star of the 1930s and '40s, he could not go out anywhere for being mobbed. The British watched morale on the home front obsessively and even developed the documentary via the "people watching" movement to get a good idea about this. Highest moment of British morale was the scene in Formby war-effort movie where he jumps into Hitler's balcony and chins him that this scene is lampooning. Clearly simpler times.
You would like the sequel - actually made in Germany after the war. Arthur and Chester go to work for Dr. Müller in “Confessions of a Door to Door Bratwurst Salesman”.
Atkinson knew Draws wouldn't outshine him on stage or screen and probably had him on low wages. I'd imagine Draws just about managed to afford a mortgage on a modest detached house up north

Phew, lucky that stamp stuck over Arthur's lip.

Chaplin would have loved it

Hello there
chester might have been the butt of the joke but I'm sure he was able to buy a nice house with all the work atkinson inexplicably threw his way
Atkinson knew Draws wouldn't outshine him on stage or screen and probably had him on low wages. I'd imagine Draws just about managed to afford a mortgage on a modest detached house up north
2:07 Higson looks like general Jodel (the bald one) with a hat on in the hitler parodies :-)
2:58 that clip is also used in monty python
