They're such amazing people and this really shows a side that's not well known, touching and inspiring. Regardless of other people's occupation, there's always more than meets the eye. Rather than judging just the surface, realize everyone has a different story, hardship and circumstance, potential for greatness in their own way big or small.
My super helper has been with us for about 15 years. Watching this, i wish she could go out and have fun cuz all she does during her free time is going online and chatting online with her family. She has motion sickness and has difficulty travelling in a moving vehicle so she chooses to stay home. Anyways, this is such a heartwarming clip and i would like to thank the super helpers for being the strong women they are and contributing their hours giving back to the needy although they really ddnt have to. Stay healthy and happy!
I wish my grandparents maid was like that... often time we do our best to help her cope and make her comfortable but in return she stole a bunch of our valuables... sigh. But this video really has shown light that they are too human and they shouldn't be treated with disrespect and it's amazing. Their strength.
I'm not a phillipino. I'm a born and bred singaporean who is part chinese and part Eurasian but because of my darker skin colour, fellow Singaporeans have always mistaken me for being a domestic helper. And I can 100% say that there is a definate racist biased towards domestic helpers. They are treated as being less important then the average Singaporean. And that's a truly sad reflection of our society. ♡
Kelvin Leo please do not accuse I have a maid I treat her like a Mother you do not have proof maybe some treat them badly but not all so get that shit straight
Oh well my shit is as straight and firm as freshly poop, you're angry that means you are one of the good people. I'm happy to hear that you treat your housemaid well. Good for you, good for you. anyway, who needs proof when it's an open secret dear
To all S'poreans who have a maid. Without a doubt, you are of a higher status and with more wealth than your maid. But remember this. On the Day of Judgement, you will be ask by God on how you treat them. Treat them well, or else, God will grant them justice and punish you for treating them unfairly in this life. And for the maids who are reading this. May God preserve and bless you for sacrificing for your family. God will reward you soon. You are fighters in my eyes.
My Grandmother treats her maid really badly. Like she always gossips about her maid to me. One day, my grandmother’s maid talked to my aunt about how my grandma has been treating her. My family has given the maid a bonus and we have been treating her like family. I hope my grandma realises that she needs to treat the maid better.
Can run 4 times a week after work? Lucky maid. Most of them can only run on Sunday, and only because of the law. Edit: Caucasian employers, no wonder so open-minded.
I prefer foreign workers, maids or not, to contribute to Singapore rather than hang around Lucky Plaza or otherwise, like homeless people. These maids involve in healthy sports and some give with their hearts to volunteer work. I definitely respect you, maids or not, as long as you have a heart for Singapore. I wish we have more such foreigners like you.
OMG YESSS EXACTLY !! that's what i thought too !! this kind of maids are far better than those umm other maids who hang around somewhere @ paya lebar or other public places & plaza etc during weekends ... i mean i dont really mind that but when i see a whole group of ppl camping around the public places on weekends and sometimes kinda block passerby's ways ??? isn't it abit inconsiderate to do so yknow
As a Singaporean, i think you have a very narrow view of them. It is their off day, they can spend it on whatever it is they want to do. Be it hang out with friends at lucky plaza or engage in volunteer/sports.
They see their kids every 2-3 years? I thought it was mandatory that their employer pays a return flight back to their home to visit family one a year (generally around Christmas)?
Nope it's not mandatory... Usually maids go home either by own request (dont want to work anymore or family member is sick etc) or during SG occasions like Chinese new year etc
I am uncomfortable with this happening. Domestic helpers can have fun and recreational activities, but not to this extent! Foreign workers in Singapore including constructions workers and factory workers should stay within their own cluster; lucky plaza, city plaza, little India. This is Singapore, this is our nation, they are here only for a few years (months). So they should know their place in this city state.
Interesting series that helps shed light on a topic that is not very well known, but yet very human and close to the heart. Thanks CNA.

This kind of maids are definitely doing something productive and inspiring
This is incredibly inspiring. Thanks for making this video CNA. It has really made me want to change things for the better.

You ladies are amazing and inspiring!
Thk you . They support our society.
So wonderful to see the other side of their lives..

Yea sadly we are intensely classist society.
MABUHAY ang OFW (Overseas Filipino Workers)!!!
Take note singaporean, stop treating domestic workers like they are less than human.

it is so pity to watch Singapore to have 1% of good hearted people, with 99% Singaporean with the mind of "GO BACK YOUR HOMETOWN" attitude
well thats true
I’m so proud of you all!!
Good to see domestic workers have a program for them to join and social. They miss home too.
Wow! This is really eye-opening

"BRRRRRRRUUUUU...."

glad to see some maids having sports events than seeing them hanging around in orchard road and lucky plaza.

i also prefer singaporeans to do volunteer works for their fellow singaporean rather than wish that foreigners should do that instead, lol!
@@revelbangtanexo2642 they're out cus its their off day? ??:D?? would you rather pay for them to hang out at sentosa instead

None of your business where they hang out or what they do on their day off.
❤️
Does their employer need to be responsible for domestic worker injury through their personal sports?
They see their kids every 2-3 years? I thought it was mandatory that their employer pays a return flight back to their home to visit family one a year (generally around Christmas)?
