    Thank you for your time showing what is behind the scenes in cattle hauling. My uncle drove 30 years OTR and had to change from one job to another to keep the truck going. I have enjoyed the videos and bringing my memories from the past being on farms and ranches. My uncle always said take care of truck so it takes care of the driver. Be safe out there.     Sharp looking truck always wonder what it looked like . Man hate to see u go but hauling cattle gets old especially the one way cattle .going miss watching u load them cows maybe u can start a channel on your trips or travels .hope u enjoy your next adventure in life just be safe and try to stay healthy.       Thank you. It didn't really get old and I actually enjoyed hauling cattle but my new customer will be less miles, less work and better revenue so had to take the opportunity

      I used to do it too, but if I’m being honest it got to hard taking them to kill plants. I didn’t have the heart anymore, was just sad every time I’d pull in.

    You’re be back hauling livestock it’s in your blood, my mate once give it up, sold up remortgage his house 🏠 to buy a pub, that’s all he ever talked about, with in three years bankrupt tax man after him, he went back to hauling livestock.........       Comment much appreciated. I bought a dry van trailer and have a pretty good direct customer I haul for now and much easier on the body 😁 but never know what the future holds. Glad you enjoy the channel

    Cattle Hauling l have a question does packing plant weight check the loaded trailer with livestock at plant and why are they checking weights.

      @calebmanuel17 Yes they weigh the load to verify weight difference from weight on paperwork at time of sale at auction and when delivered to plant. Cattle lose weight from auction time to delivery at plant

      @@CattleHauling50 ok when you reach at the plant do bulls go to a different pen and cows go to different pens why does the plant want to keep bulls and cows separate, for example, if you reach the plant late at night the cows pen is super full that ready to process in tomorrow, do you put cows and bulls in bull pen?

      @calebmanuel17 If no help is there to separate the cows from bulls as they come off the truck then they go together. When there is help they are separated

      I don't think there is any particular difference. The packing plant I hauled for bought all different kinds of cattle and bulls and varied depending what was available the day of sale. Merry Christmas

    how does a guy get into hauling cattle? I own my own truck just no-one wants to give info on how to get in without being a company guy

      The only suggestions I can offer which also depends on the area you live is to go to a packing plant near you and ask there. Also check at any sale barns near you if they have any contacts and/or call any cattle hauler companies near you or see on the road. I had a small plant near me that had an open trailer to haul so that's how I got started. Hope that helps

    Seems to be a common trend. I hauled my first load of cattle on Tuesday. Had a lot of fun doing it. Why r u hanging it up? I am hearing it’s just not profitable anymore.

      Congrats on your first load. I enjoyed hauling cattle and made decent money doing it but my new customer will be less miles, less work and better money so couldn't pass it up. I actually just heard today that a Utah company was shutting down it's livestock hauling operations as of Monday
