Crit, 100% agree. They discussed wanting equal utility between the trees but Warrior seems locked into this tuning related to current skills instead of class fantasy. The class needs utility that functions well in dungeons or it just needs to blast and fulfill class fantasy as an unequaled, unkillable berserker. If the tank dies, the Fury Warrior lives.
Warrior also needs 4 more talent points in the tree. Shockwave needs to be a base talent, as does Rally or intervene or both. We are too restricted and have zero utility without lowering our damage even more. Also 100% agree on Storm Bolt being underwhelming - the skill has a cast time AND a travel time, I'd rather see something like Int shout made more useful or Shockwave.
Fr and ong. Totally agree
all of this agree! yes!
well said, agree 100%.
To fix steadfast as the peaks they could tie it to spell reflect to further help with big group wide magic dmg hits
Also for the class tree point allocation issues, they can make clap baseline like you said while also moving Shockwave to where current tc is. In its place we can get some sort of iteration of maldraxxus banner
Thanks for doing some analysis of this instead of just reactions like every other video. Great content.
i love this concept, i'm a massive fan of dwarves and i love how this plays into a new sort of class fantasy, where you see thanes like Muradin fighting with two weapons just like fury warriors, but instead of the "unbridled fury" you play around with the fury of the storms which is such a cool idea. I'm 100% sure they will change stuff for fury and i'm very excited about how the final iteration is gonna look like
The idea is nice. Something fresh
Am I the only one who thinks that Thane should be the arms-prot hero tree? All the thunderclap stuff would fit much better for arms I think
i agree i feel mountain thane more fits the play style and class fantasy of arms and prot than it does fury. only issue is without seeing what colossus entails im not sure that it really fits fury either so im not sure changing their position would be any better. need something more like berserker or barbarian in my opinion. have also heard that maybe slayer being prot/ fury could potentially make like a dual wield tank play slyle could maybe be cool but i think we need to see what the other trees have before we can really make any determination
I just feel like if you replaced every instance of bloodthirst with mortal strike in the thane tree the whole thing would be so much better as arms@@caseymoody2223
@@caseymoody2223They have already said the hero talents will not completely change playstyles. They may alter it a bit, but it won't change the way a prot warrior works. To me a prot warrior only works with a shield. Therefore it's highly unlikely they will make a dual wielding prot warrior.
@@Kmaitland89 yes I know they said they don’t intend for the hero talents to change the play style they want that part to come from the class/ spec tree. I’ve had that argument with another person already complaining that it didn’t change the play style. Was just saying I agree that I don’t feel that mountain thane fits the fury play style as well as I think it does prot and arms. But I don’t know what colossus tree will have to know if it would fit better. The dual wield tank thing is something I believe is unrealistic that I heard someone else talking about which I thought was an interesting concept. I don’t think it would be a thing though
I agree it would integrate with Arms' current builds better than Fury, but I understand why they made it Prot/Fury - the Warcraft 3 Mountain King dual wielded an axe and warhammer.
Warriors suffer from a lack of utility as a spec compared to what other dps can bring. We need some group wide spell reflect, Lust, cr or something along those lines in order to be reliable
I would assume the extra Storm Bolts also apply DR which also kinda suck, especially if you end up not even stopping a cast with them.
I don't know about the procrate of lightning strikes yet obviously, but while I was reading this I also had the same "RNG on RNG" thought about the capstone. Maybe make it so every 10th lightning strike casts avatar for 4 seconds instead? Lowers the RNG and depending on the procrate, you can make it so it's triggering about 10% of the time anyway...
Maybe?
Yup, I also thought something like that would be better.
My biggest concern with all the bloodthirst talents is that if we end up with another tier like from Vault of the Incarnates then we'll hardly ever hit bloodthirst and those talents kinda turn useless.
I'm so sad they aren't going blademaster route :(
yeah i would have loved that for the shared tree between Arms and Fury, but they seem decided to this course of action which means there is little we can do about it (which is a damn shame since this could have been the best opportunity to add it and the reasons they gave about it felt very shallow to me).
@@marcialhdYeah... Blademaster is the ultimate warrior fantasy, especially in wow for me. It would have been everything. My orc going around with a Samuro transmog with windwalk, and mirror image is just too op to somehow tweak down to a level that would make too much sense to all us other warriors. So many notable blademasters in retail wow also... huge missed opportunity.
For prot it seems amazing even the capstone would make the talent unstoppable force really strong for prot free enhanced thunderclaps and shockwaves when you randomly proc avatar but fury is going to feel bad and more button bloat because you would have to use ww to cleave your st abilities and then weave thunderclaps in between just to get procs would feel bad. Depending on tuning if thunderclap hits like a wet noodle just for a chance to get a proc of lightning that also may hit like a wet noodle may feel bad to even press it also having to weave bloodthirst procs between raging blow for procs as well just seems like too much weaving. Its all going to depend on the tuning of everything that will determine our rotation
very cool
So we would replace whirlwind with thunderclap?
I think Storm Shield is geared more towards Prot than Fury tbh. As prot I have over 31,000 armor, so x3 is over 90k and that's before the ilvl increases we will see during War Within.
mountain thane is probably going to be the pvp spec for fury
Does anyone know if its confirmed that we will be replacing ww with thunderclap or is it going to be some scenario where we will be ww as a builder and thunderclap as a spender where we will be doing ww while weaving in thunderclaps because if it is its going to feel clunky and bloated since right now the playstyle is either use bt as a builder or rb as a builder then spam rampage as much as you can will keeping ww buff up....now we will have to weave thunderclaps with ww and bt with rb while trying to maintain this fast pace playstyle
I believe the new expansion is lvl 80? mean additional talent points?
Won't get additional talent points to put in the class or spec tree. You only get these Hero talent points from leveling from 70 to 80
I can't really say I like/dislike the idea of this tree until I see the others. 100% agree that double RNG in a capstone talent is kinda bunk.
At least they're trying to push fury in using Thunder clap butt...That won't work.
I hope the Arms-Fury tree will be better though.
It’s weird that warriors don’t have lust
I really hope they either rework Bloodthirst or dont move us in a direction similar to what we have for S3. Bloodthirst imo is NOT a fun button to press especially with how bad the animation is for a lot of the races. I really liked S1 and S2 Tiersets because it wasnt an overbearing set bonus that forced us into a specific capstone build and REALLY hoping they move back in that direction with TWW.
One
I think its safe to say that at this point and for some time its obvious that the Warrior class designer'(s) dont play the game.
