I'm writing to you from Spain.
Thank you very much for your videos, they are helping me a lot.
To visualize the lights you are programming, how can I connect qlab to a light visualization program, since qlab doesn't have one.
    Thank you very much

Thanks for your helpful videos about this Justino. Can I ask, when you turn up to a new ship, you don't run your lighting like this for those shows, do you? You couldn't do all this patching as a Guest Ent. for a DCL venue with multiple DMX universes surely?
In that scenario, how do you run your cues for lighting? Do you have the lighting tech do it for you? How do you send lighting changes Blackouts etc?

Correct I do it differently, I use MIDI SHOW CONTROL MSC to program the lighting cues to fire in their board, using their lighting and dmx, so basically I program all the cues and then use Qlab to take over the lighting guys job to just fire that cue in sequence :)

@@GetYourKeyWithJZ Super Cool! Do you use a MIDI device attached to your computer and their board to do that or do you connect to them in some other way?

Yes I actually use a device called WIDI X8 which sends wireless midi from USB to the transmitter and then I give a recover to the lighting co sole to receive MSC. (Remember it’s not time code or normal midi but MIDI SHOW CONTROL just a little different) but I don’t think they make this WIDI anymore

@@GetYourKeyWithJZ Ah, that's amazing. I have a WIDI jack already, so I'm used to using that with sound consoles. I've never used it with lighting before. Do you just send an MSC message from Qlab to step through lighting scenes?

Does it not vary wildly between sending MSC messages to different lighting consoles? Or are they mostly Go messages to go to the next scene?
