  • Hey guys! Today I am sharing with you my weeks 13 and 14 of my pregnancy with twins. These weeks have been pretty much the same, with an increase in my nausea in the evenings. I am able to eat more during the day which is great. Other than that, I've just been having headaches every day. I started taking Diclegis to help with throwing up. It hasn't taken away all my sickness, but at least I can keep down food. As of now I'm just taking it once a day if I really must. I hope this video helps you all out!

I have been watching these vlogs like crazy comparing my symptoms and trying to figure out if I'm having twins too. Well finally had my ultrasound today at 13 weeks. And confirmed that I am having twins! I always knew it. 😂😂😂

I’ve been following her since this pregnancy and now I’m coming back because i think I’m having twins too 😬
Curious, if you see this, what were your symptoms?

@@123Bria321 I had super early symptoms. I literally just knew immediately that I was pregnant....I actually just gave birth to my 2nd set of twins. This time symptoms were different. More emotional than before. Lots more crying throughout.

Love your pregnancy updates! Concerning your dog, one great piece of advice we got with our first baby was to have your husband bring something home from the hospital (while you & babies are still there) that smells like them - a hospital swaddling blanket or a piece of clothing they wore - and let your dog smell it so she can get "acquainted" with their scent before they come home. It seemed to help our dog (a shih tzu), he did fine with the transition :)

Congratulation! I'm pregnant with identical twins too (mono di) and my husband and I found out they are girls!!! We are so excited about them. We had several ultrasounds between 18-22 weeks to watch for twin to twin transfusion syndrome which is what you talked about earlier in the video. We've prayed and put it all in Gods hand and have nothing but great reports on our girls!! The best of wish to you during your pregnancy. You look great!!!! 😊😊👍🏼👍🏼

When I was pregnant I threw up literally all day everyday from the second I opened my eyes until I fell asleep at night. They gave me that medicine and I ended up losing my baby at 14 weeks 😢 I'm sure the two weren't related but next time I get pregnant with my rainbow baby I will not be taking anything. Congrats on your babies!

I love watching your videos. My twin boys are 5 months old. While watching your videos I am getting to remember all of the different stages of my pregnancy. I too suffered from nausea. I was sick until the very last minute. I actually threw up on the delivery table. My boys are happy and healthy babies and totally worth all that I went through to get them here. Congratulations on your twins!!

Kendra, only you know whats right for you and your baby. Doctors are there to help but sometimes I feel like they push too much medicine. I threw up three times a day every day for 9 months with both boys, and they where constantly pushing medicine on me.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!!! I'm 29 weeks pregnant today with twin girls!!! Mine are fraternal though. I hope your new doctor is better. I absolutely love my doctor, and it definitely makes things a lot easier when you feel you have a doc you can talk to and trust. I went to a class a couple of weeks.ago, and they suggested something for people with dogs. After you have your baby have someone go to your home with something that has your babies scent on it. That way by the time you get home hopefully the dog will recognize their smell. I hope that helps. Great video by the way :-)

Bu the way, I also had very bad morning sickness until I was 18 weeks pregnant (nausea all day and throwing up almost everyday, sometimes twice a day😖) . My doctor told me that is very common in twins pregnancies. He also prescribed me a medicine for that but I never took it. I just kept trying to eat small frequent meals even though I would vomit later😣. And yes!!! Bad headaches 🤕ugh! I will just put ice on my head and sleep. Hang in there, hopefully it will get better in your second trimester🙂

I had morning (all day) sickness for the first 5 months that I was pregnant. It was terrible!! I lost almost 30 pounds. I couldn't keep anything down, I even threw up water a couple times. So I definitely know how you feel! It does get better though, and you completely forget about it once the baby comes. Just hang in there, you got this momma! ❤️

Kendra, thank you for sharing! I love hearing about your pregnancy and sharing your journey! It is such a privilege I feel, that you want us to be in the loop! There is nothing worse than a doctor who isn't personable and compassionate. Some have this disconnect, that is extremely off putting, especially when you want to b proactive in your healthcare yet they who supposedly have this wealth of knowledge do not take the lead and share all they can! 🙄. Hopefully, the doctor you have chosen is MUCH better! So happy for you Andrew! Sending you love, positivity and prayers! Hang in there, it will all b so worth it when you r holding them in your arms! 👼👼👶🏽👶🏽

I understand being sick, I'm also taking that but have thrown up so many times and continue to do so and also have serve reflux and GERD so I know have painful Esphagitis and cant swallow solid food. I'm 13 weeks and half and on a liquid diet! And have been on one for a month. So I get the being nervous about nutrition thing as well. I get stressed everyday that I can't swallow food. Your pregnancy updates helps me feel better! I drink alot of ensure and boost with double the calories and I believe that's whats keeping my baby healthy. So if you ever can eat something you could supplement with those.

Love watching your pregnancy updates! I'm 36 weeks with a singleton right now and can't get enough of talking about babies, lol! So sorry you had a jerk Dr. But at least you know it was just for that one appointment. Can't wait to hear about your next appt with the Dr your friend recommended for you. That's such an important part of your pregnancy journey to have someone that you feel comfortable and trusting with. I used doctors with my first and going with a midwife this time. I was never aware that a twin pregnancy got automatically categorized as high risk, especially since you are obviously a very healthy, active person! Hormones can do crazy things to your body, just remember that it doesn't mean you are sick😊 It's just your body doing what women's bodies are created to do. You are already a great mommy using your mother's instinct to know what's best for your body and therefore your babies (Mountain Dew?!) I do hope you start feeling better though😊

That doctor you saw is exactly the reason I got a new doctor. My doctor before told me I was not pregnant, but I should take prenatals anyways, and that if I didn't get my period back in 3 months to take a prescription she gave me to make my body have a period. She kept throwing it in my face that I wasn't pregnant and then would say, "well, do you wanna get pregnant?"
So I switched doctors and I found out I am in fact pregnant, and even after 5 urine tests came out negative my blood test was 100% positive.
It makes me sick to my stomach to think that if I didn't go to get a second opinion, and I ended up listening to my old doctor, I could have aborted my fetus without even knowing it 😡

I was the exact same. I was positive I was having a boy. My older sister has one boy and 3 girls and my symptoms where just like hers when she was pregnant with her son. We had boy names picked out, I had the nursery pretty much planned out. Then we found out we are having a girl. My husband even asked the ultrasound tech to double check. We were both so certain it was going to be a boy. Being that in the last 3 years there's been 5 babies born within the family, and all being girls, I am getting a ton of hand me downs so for this being our first child its nice to not feel financially stressed with the cost of all the items. I really only have to buy a stroller and car seat everything else was passed down to me. I can't wait for the gender reveal video!

Have you tried those nausea bracelets? Not sure if that's what they're called but they use pressure points on your wrists to help get rid of nausea. One of my teachers in high school used them when she was pregnant and she said they worked wonders for her. They're not pretty but it's better than throwing up!

From what I've heard and my midwives have told me, you have to start taking Diclegis (Diclectin here in Canada) right away when your nausea and vomiting starts (like 6 weeks) otherwise it doesn't really work. I started taking it the week my nausea and vomiting started (6 weeks for me) and it made a world of difference. I would still throw up occasionally and feel somewhat nauseous, but it honestly made me feel somewhat normal so that I could get through my day. I'm 16 weeks now. I tried weaning off it around 13/14 weeks and have gotten myself to taking 1/2 of what I was taking when the nausea/vomiting was the worse. I'm going to try and wean myself off completely this week.

The main thing my dietician said to do was to separate fluids from solids and eat small meals frequently. I started my pregnancy at 140, lost 10 lbs at first because I was so sick. At 9 months I was 160. Right after I delivered I was 130. My doctor told me that the baby takes what they need first and you get the leftovers so even if you are feeling terrible your babies can be perfectly fine. Good luck!!

I took Raw prenatals & had AWFUL morning sickness & my nurse suggested not taking my night pre-natal (mine were 3x day) and that helped. I also took an over the counter version of the unisom without the sleep part & that helped my naseau. Also, change OBGYN's if you don't feel comfortable with her...it makes a difference having one you trust & like :)

Thanks for sharing, love these 👶👶 updates. Glad you decided to switch doctors she sounds dreadful. And sadly there are many like that, my Ob was pretty much the same super cold and dismissive. I also got VERY SICK with my pregnancy vommiting and sick up until my 7th month with ONE BABY, I can't imagine 2! Got prescribed prenatals and anti nausea pills and couldn't even keep those down. But now I have a happy healthy 3 yr old :) just trust your mommy instincts and stay hydrated. Be well! 💕

I absolutely love your pregnancy updates. I'm actually pregnant with my first as well, I'm 13 weeks and 3 days and I can completely relate to the majority of experiences you mentioned. My nausea is SO bad and I have started throwing up as well. I also haven't gained any weight (I've lost 7 lbs 😖) which concerns me. I mentioned my nausea to my doctor and although she did mention prescribing medication, I immediately told her I would like to try the most natural approach first; so she started me on vitamin b6. Unfortunately, the b6 isn't really making much of a difference, so I'm not really taking it anymore but I needed something to help with the nausea because I'm just miserable all day. Fortunately, my friend mentioned Sea Bands and they have been a godsend! I feel so much better and more importantly I'm able to keep food down. CVS and Walmart have them for about $12 and they make one specifically for expectant mothers. Hope you feel better soon. 💗

I'm 34 and a half weeks pregnant with a singleton and my friend had twins in February. Morning sickness varies so much. Mine lasted until 18 weeks and I didn't take anything at all. I always threw up when I woke up and when I brushed my teeth especially at night. What helped with my throwing up when I brushed my teeth was getting a natural toothpaste and using a non electric toothbrush. Toothpastes that aren't natural foam up too much and that's what would make me gag, also with a handheld toothbrush you can control the movement. I'm in Canada too and I think I use the Beaver brand. My friends throwing up lasted all pregnancy unfortunately maybe because of twins.
For headaches we were both told Tylenol and caffeine. I also was put off by coffee but I'm okay with it now in third trimester. I had a cup of English breakfast tea with milk instead daily. A lot of OBGYNs are very busy and don't always have the best bedside manners but always go in w/ a list of questions. Good luck !

I know you're having twins but don't worry too much about weight gain. Sure, they tell you to gain at least xx amount of weight for a pregnancy, twins or not. I'm a firm believer in that your body will gain what it needs to. I've had three babies and gained 17, 6, and 10 pounds each. After losing 15-20 per pregnancy. My midwives were very pleased with my weight gain each time and kept telling me that my body knows what it needs and what it is doing. I was sick until 20 weeks each time and after that I just ate whatever I wanted and whatever I could. I refused all meds as well. I just really really trusted my body. It was meant to do this and it will all be okay(:

One tip, you should spread your prenatal apart so your body absorbs it more slowly. I believe they are suppose to be taken one with each meal. I take new chapter prenatals 3x per day-one with each meal. Best of luck to you, and go with your gut on your OB choices, good for you!

I'm almost fifteen weeks right now and my due date is January 16 so I thought it was awesome to find someone who is so close to my due date! I'm not having twins but everything else you have talked about is almost identical to my symptoms and experiences aside from the nausea I've been very blessed to have only a bit of nausea. When do you find out your gender? I read most people find out at 20 weeks? But sounds to me like you will find out sooner!? That makes me so jealous! For mommas dealing with morning sickness, if you can find a naturopath or homeopath they can recommend a homeopathic remedy based on your exact symptoms. I'm in the first trimester of my 4th pregnancy and the homeopathic worked extremely well for my nausea and vomitting.

My doc is a twin specialist and she put me on an acid reducer bc I was getting sick every night at 4 or 5. Worked like a charm. When I went to bed it used to be the worst. Just like you said.

I remember feeling so sick too (I have 3 kids) and I tried gummies but realized there wasn't iron. I ended up just using the Target Brand and taking them right before bed so I was sleeping when they would make me sick :( It's horrible feeling sick all the time - I am so sorry you are going through that. But you are right, it's a good sign and there is a lot to be thankful for. Once you are feeling better, you will actually forget how bad it was.

Such a cute preggo belly ❤️ My hypothesis is that the sicker you are it's the female hormones on top of moms female hormones- but then a friend was super sick and had a boy so I'm back to square one on that ;) Either way, you will have two gorgeous babies for sure!!

I'm going to have to check out those vitamins you mentioned! I'll be 17 weeks pregnant on Saturday and I've been looking for a good vitamin that has folate instead of folic acid due to a blood clotting disorder I have. Thank you for mentioning what you take.
Also, that doctor seems like a loon. Seriously, I would've walked out of that appointment if I was told to drink a mountain dew. 200 mg of caffeine a day is safe, but I haven't drank any coffee in about 3 months, mainly because I'm so hot all the time and coffee makes that worse. I get headaches if I don't drink enough water or eat every 2-3 hours.

For caffeine, what about tea? Totally different smell and taste than coffee. It might help. Maybe chai if you can stomach it (sometimes it has ginger in it). Nausea is one of the worst feelings ever. I hope you feel better soon. So excited for you and your family! That's so great your mom could go with you to the ultrasound. I'm sure she was so happy to be there and to get to see her grandbabies :-)

the doctors put me on the same medicine, unison and vitemin b6 and I didn't take It because I was scared BUT my friends took it and it helped them over time, it's something that needs to build up in your system first. I'm like a hippy haha I love natural things and doing things organically. if I can make it I will do it.. so I found a replacement for that medicine, I used peppermint oil and I put it on a cotton ball and I would sniff It and it would help so much. I also made my own electrolyte drinks to help with my vomiting, It was water, coconut water, Himalayan salt, lemon juice and a little bit of pure orange juice and sugar it helped so much! I hope these tips help you because I totally feel you girl! I'm due any day now and it feels like I'm in the first trimester all over again!

I've delt with nausea through all 4 pregnancies and the feeling of being extremely full. so to help with that i only ate snacks all day. and my meal portions had to be cut down. and i would just get a second helping in an hour or 2. but maybe that will help you.

Boy am I late lol you've already had the babies. 😂 totally agree with the gummies thing, I thought it'd be easier to chew gummies than swallowing horse pills lol but I was wrong. I had to switch completely waste so much money! I also would like to ask if you could let me know what kind of health insurance did you have during pregnancy and did they cover everything? Thank you!

I had the same experience with not wanting gummies as soon as I got pregnant! Also, I took Diclegis during my first trimester, but I only took one at bedtime and that seemed to really help. Plus I didn't feel so tired because it was half the dose and only at bedtime anyways.

Sounds like a really terrible Dr too! What a bummer of an experience! Another great vitamin to look into is the Rainbow Light Prenatals. I've been loving lots of prenatal workouts here on UA-cam, you can really find some that are very gentle but at least get you moving which feels nice.

This is crazy watching this, knowing you had two identical girls, but you felt like they were boys! Goes to show you just never know. I’m pregnant with twins. Found out through blood work we are definitely having at least one boy. My gut says it’s two boys, but some days I feel it’s a boy and a girl.

I'll be okay. Follow your instincts - doctors love medicine (obviously) but you know what your body needs. Coming from one with four kids, you'll be totally fine. Try not to worry too much (haha, right?). :)

I Lost 18pounds with my first pregnancy cause I was so sick! I used the unisom and b6 my whole pregnancy with my first daughter. It took a while to work tho.. With my second daughter I took Diclegis and it literally worked the next day and worked the entire time!

anti-emetic meds like gravol really dont relieve nausea, they just make you drowsy and that gives the impression of relief!! ginger is a great option though!!
i find it interesting that the doctor was telling you not to exercise because you might lose weight!! you have 2 human beings inside of you!! you can still exercise and still gain weight, and it sounds like you are gaining, and everyone gains weight differently. it has to do with you and your baby!! i gained 25 lbs both times, the first time i was huge and my baby was only 6 lbs 2 oz, and the second time i was relatively small, and he was 6 lbs 12 oz. your going to gain weight no matter what, and it may happen more in your later pregnancy, and since they are on schedule and ahead, this really should not be a problem! also, take into consideration the fact that you were very fit before pregnancy!! you may only gain in the abdomen area, or you may gain everywhere!! working out during pregnancy makes it easier for you to lose the weight, recover after labour, and to get back into the workout much easier!!
