A decade ago, it would have been a joke story; now it's legitimate. Millennials feel they're entitled to everything - college, job, advancement, vacation - without demonstrating that they've earned them
Al Cd No they don't. Everyone keeps saying that yet I've yet meet one that actually believes that besides the free college. I really don't see why college shouldn't be reduced.
Entitlement... Example.. HE is entitled to decide who works for him because HE built the company.. HE does Not have to change his policy so your feelings don't get hurt.. and if that hurts your feelings.. shut up and go start your own thing.. don't try to change his.
That is exactly Right. He put in the work to built up his Company. If you want to do Things differently then go out there and open your own Company. People who Always complain About Things being unfair will never achieve anything. Just to be clear I honostly don't know if you are being sarcastic or not.
@@aureliusva It's not a personality test. Its a question that he wants an answer to. Its the same as McDonalds asking you a question like "if you witnessed another employee stealing what would you do". Thats not your personality. Its snowflakes like you that fill our court rooms with ridiculous claims that aren't even close to valid
But...but. I have a degree in gender studies and liberal arts, and I'm a hypergamous gynocentric democratic Party fourth wave radical feminist, and I have all this student debt!
This is spot on. As a small business owner, I cannot find worthy employees and have considered making a more education based survey to weed out applicants
When you have to put your name in front of an employees work ethic you will reconsider your opinion, it’s not always a matter a compensation. You can pay a person over what they are worth but it still won’t make them a better candidate
naiasonod that's a cute opinion. And it really doesn't go anywhere. "Intolerant snowflakes" is what you complain about. But they at least are productive. You on the other hand, have no stance on anything.
naiasonod no you're right, if I had said you were a very lovely man at first, then you would fall head over heels into giving me your daughter for marriage.
The ignorance of the host having to link everything to politics. Lol not everything is about politics! The man just want to sort out applicants aligned with his company’s views and values! He simply doesnt want employees who whine a lot and not do anything about it.
My wife worked for a company that gave up on interviewing millennials because they were so entitled and making demands during the interviews, this is a much better method there are good millennials out there ya just gotta weed through them, besides aren't we partially to blame, we allowed the destruction of their education system.
Entitlement isn't the same as making demands. In an interview is the time to make clear the things both parties require, that's capitalism. If your damn good in your field of work you can be demanding and should ask for money, benefits or any requirements.
I volunteered with the VA hospital in Montrose. One of the oldest residents who we lost about two years ago was a nurse in WWII. Let me set the stage: *Finished school a week ago *Sent to Normandy the night before D-Day Her first day? Picking up hands, arms, and legs of our soldiers who stormed the beach Safe space? Mental health day? Therapy dogs and play-dough after an election? we also didn't have a bullshit platform where every 2 cent , armchair philosopher can post their dribble back then either..... also looking at a white woman then meant getting beat up. whats my point? whats your point? time was different, times change, not always for better, but please.... just shut the fuck up already
Um I seem to remember the people actually admitting that so. You're point is what? So the people that point that out are what exactly? Maybe you're delusional because anyone who tries to run me over with a car is an enemy. If you believe otherwise, then you need to re-examine your definition of the term friend.
"It looks like one of the questions is 'What does America mean to you?', what kind of answer were you looking for?" "You know, the irony of this test is it's not even so much about the answers, it's about how people formulate the answers and how they stand by that. I want some hardcore Americans, people who are proud to be American." Then it *is* about the answer, isn't it.
I think he is saying that he doesn't care what the answer is as long as it's along the lines of them liking America and not being some person who hates everything America stands for and such.
Which means that it *is* about the answer, then, and he should just own up to what he's doing. It's ideological screening. I don't have an inherent problem with it, but be honest about what you're doing.
@Avicenna - Actually, Kyle misused "irony" when he made that comment. Definition of irony; "the expression of one's meaning by using language that normally signifies the opposite, typically for humorous or emphatic effect"; "a state of affairs or an event that seems deliberately contrary to what one expects and is often amusing as a result." So, rather than saying "irony", Kyle should have said the "purpose" of the tests is not even so much the answers. Kyle also contradicts himself, as in the begging of the video he makes mention of "you young activists" in a way that was speak down of young activists and making fun of them. Then he says of the questions..."it's about how people formulate the answers and how they stand by that". So, he wants someone who has the conviction to "stand by that" or stand for something. I guess it is only okay if they stand for the same things he does.
@SoloLysander yep. And then that he has to disguise his ideological test in this kind of "it's not about the answers" language shows that he doesn't actually have the conviction to stand behind what he believes in without subterfuge. Now *that*'s irony, wouldn'tcha say?
I think this should be a standard part of employment....I worked in a career for 33 years and then these young people come in and think they deserve the same wage that took me years to get so yeah this will definitely weed out people....GOOD JOB Kyle!!
And why would you even want to work there lol? If you were an actual snowflake and lied your way into a position, I doubt you'd last long. You'd be surrounded by people who believe in accountability and personal responsibility. They don't have safe spaces.
You won't last long if you lie your way into a position. It won't take long for them to see you for who you really are and they will kick your can to the curb.
Karl Urban speaking from experience, you're flat wrong. That's called "being adaptable" - the company doesn't care who you are. Give them what they want without breaking the law and you'll be rewarded. On fact, it's the fastest way to get promoted. Y the time anyone bothers to look closely, no one will care.
Ive been doing that around here, It throws some managers for a loop. All the time " you know we only accept applications online" "I know, I just wanted to introduce myself in person and not over the computer" The look of confusion is entertaining.

WTF is with people in the comment suction saying he doesn’t want entitled people in his company because he’s entitled. He’s not he just doesn’t want people thinking that his company owes them something just because they work for him. That they’re entitled to anything from his company. The only thing you are entitled to is the pay you get for the work you do that’s it.
To be honest, it's his private company he made himself, he should be able to do whatever he wants when he wants. If I had a company, I wouldn't want any slackers, I would only keep the ones who work hard, it's called being professional.
The employees are owed whatever they and the company have ironed out as compensation for their work. Nothing more and nothing less, and only so long as they continue to work. Likewise the company is only owed a days work from the employee for a days pay. Its a reasonable arrangement.
I am 54 years old, so not from the younger, so-called ''entitled'' generation, and I have a list of questions that I take with me to interviews, that my potential employer must please answer. I'm tired of an interview being a one way street, you interview me, and I interview you, and we can both assess each other. Not surprisingly, interviewers are a bit shirty over answering a list of my questions - none of which are unreasonable or cheeky, by the way.
" none of which are unreasonable or cheeky, by the way." Yeah, sure! :D Normal businesses expect people to ask them questions at interviews, especially if it's more than simple "Flip burgers"-jobs. If the interviewers you've been talking to get "shirty", then it's because your questions are either ridiculous, or showing off a sense of entitlement that you haven't earned the right to have yet.
For years I used to research prospective employers to see if I'd be a fit. I, too, always had a list of several questions I hadn't been able to find answers to and there were generally a few points which came up during the interview where I wanted clarification. I completely agree that an interview needs to be a 2-way street. If it isn't then you risk becoming a company doormat in some firms
She didn't. She's a Fox reporter, she's on his side, she's just asking him a question like an interviewer should, asking him the hard ones that anyone could throw his way.
I want this man as my boss. I could not ask for a better boss to be honest. I don't even care if I start off at minimum wage. This is an American right here.
Conservatives are too stupid to make an educated test, everyone can hear the dog whistle tactics these days. He even referred to simple grammar as if it were complicated knowledge to have obtained in life and these questions sound pretty elementary. Republicans are pretty simple in the brain though.
As a member of "the snowflake" generation THANK YOU!!! I think people of my generation do not want to work hard and do not want to take a risk. I work hard every day to make a difference in my company and my community and it take's a lot of effort. It is so rewarding.
Pssst, Kay. If you use an apostrophe to form a present tense verb or a plural noun, Kyle will not hire you. It is never too late to sharpen your grammar and usage skills. Best of luck, now get on it 🙂

If you ever start or buy a business with employees, you're going to learn very quickly how much they really cost you(Hint:What you pay them per hour is only the beginning),also add in what they cost you in lost customers, frustration, anger and lost sleep,I've been both employee and owner,as an employee,I had NO CLUE what being an owner meant
Oh I know. It's why turnover can be held over an employers head. I work with good bosses and fight bad ones; bad ones invariably got there by resume, good ones typically built themselves. And I don't give a shit if you think I am entitled. To continue living is to be entitled, ponder on that for a while.
*Mi nk* if you despise human beings so much, have you considered automation, or changing your business model so you can treat your employees fairly? It sounds like you started with insufficient capital, or made a poor choice in business. Remember that most startups _by far_ need to fail in order to keep wealth more adequately distributed, since our current fiscal state prefers natural wealth redistribution than state policies. (Otherwise capitalist markets end like Monopoly, where few people owning everything and no-one liking anyone very much.) So your company will do society a greater service if it goes under than if it becomes profitable. And if you think it's appropriate to underpay and disregard your employees, maybe that's for the best.
@ Andy Mackin- Its a lot smarter to actually have RESPECT for your job and employer! I have a small landscaping company, the vast majority of helpers i have put up with had no work ethic and no skills, not even being able to use a rake or snow shovel! AND I even gave them a break paying them cash at the end of the day! That goes with even older people who still cannot get their shit together!
Gerry Persowich Yes... have employed so many that are hopeless... believed in them and they then turn around and chose to remain useless even though they actually have ability. Currently learning new tools to figure out how to get them going.
Yea, there is a problem. Doesnt necessarily mean his method is effective. I'd personally snap if a kid who i was interviewing would answer the 3rd question. Well, unless he made a joke out of it. But im sure there are people who would debase themselves by telling a stranger the sad story of how they shed tears when a relative died. My god, would you want to hear that? Underlings already often force one to listen to so many retarded excuses. Ive had once a dude beg me for an advance on his pay claiming his parents died. They did not. Years have passed and i still cannot get over my disgust for that man.

@@bkpickell. Maybe it's your culture. In Australia I see young people working every day in low paid jobs and enduring abuse and humiliation from ungrateful people
A word, their parents have failed them, the schools have failed them, higher education has failed them, and now society has failed them. Listen, my niece is 23and her parents saved money from the time they knew she was on her way, so, stop crying about having to pay for your own education, take it up with your parents who clearly failed you, not societys fault. Snowflakes , listen, get a job, pay for a collage education in a state school, its much more affordable, and, furthermore, my niece is working for a collage that paid for her masters degree! Her parents only had to pay $350.00 for books, so, see, there are ways to pay for collage, just explore avenues available to you, not just looking for others to pay your way! Where there's a will, there's a way.
I love the way he handled her trying to steer the questions to a right/left with us against us schtick. Just stuck to his ideal of work ethic vs. entitlement. Well played sir!
I've been on interviews like this. When they start asking these types of questions I ask if they want to talk about my qualifications and the job. If they insist on continuing with these questions I cut the interview short. I tell them I don't think I'll fit in, I thank them for their time and leave. I don't think that makes me a snowflake. By the way I've been employed since I graduated college 34 years ago so don't start with the sitting in my parents basement stuff.
I kinda like this approach. After starting my own business (from nothing) I too know that the work ethic is often more valuable than many so-called "skills". Getting ahead is about attitude. Many CEO's of big corporations started out as the office gofer, sweeping the floor and making coffee. And they showed their worth by having the right attitude.
When you go into a job interview with a company you’re supposed to support the company’s ideas. I don’t see anything wrong in trying to find the perfect fit for his company.
Not everyone has the luxury to pick and choose companies to work for. When most employment inquiries go unanswered, you take what you can get. Which is why people are so miserable at their jobs.
He can do what he want and if you want to have a test that shows if people have similar values to the company and yourself, then sure, all I’m gonna say is be up front. Don’t say “It doesn’t matter how you answer” and then follow it up with “if the answer is no, you don’t need a job with us.” According to him he is just looking for people to make their answer and stand by it, yet it seems like even if they were to have solid reasoning, if that answer wasn’t his answer, you’re out. Which again, is fine, but don’t make it seem like this test is anything more than a pass/fail based on your answers.
That thing about "last time you cried" bit is asking for someone to start a lawsuit because of discrimination on the grounds of mental ailment, specifically depression in this case.
As a licensed mental health professional since 1982, this is a stupid attempt to politicize psychology, and narcissistic development. A person shows "entitlement" when they, deep down, feel so victimized and shortchanged by life that they expect special compensatory treatment that leaves no room for a genuine work ethic. This has a lot to do with the parenting they received (or didnt receive) and NOTHING about political values and beliefs. Next!
The fact that only Fox News thinks this is a laudable achievement speaks volumes about this guy and his business. This CEO has already shown his stupidity by publicly acknowledging a bias against people who don't necessarily think of themselves as "Americans" first and foremost... Let's be honest, he's looking for hard-core "patriotic" conservatives -- liberals need not apply. I say "stupid" because by publicly acknowledging his bias, he has hurt his business, because any potential clients who see this and feel like they're on the wrong end of his litmus test will treat him the same way and hire his competition. So, years from now, all he will have are like-minded staff and like-minded clients... a recipe for a non-discrimination lawsuit if ever I heard one. Then the final nail will be when his client list is made public and there is some connection with a known hate group or other criminals, which he will be unable to dismiss as random if all of his clients share the same "mindset".
"non-discrimination lawsuit" Based on what? Political ideology is not a protected status. Discrimination isn't necessarily a bad thing either. You just think because there's discrimination it must be bad.
His customers are from the same group he is trying to hire, so of course, he is weeding out those that don't fit.He is not in business to inovate his company is in a service position.
Nationalism is a supremacy. The belief that your country is great and the best is not a good look. It's a racist point of view and research has shown that it is the result of low IQ. We can't blame those with low IQ that are easily brainwashed by government and other forms of authority, but we can help them learn that nationalism is not okay.
I think people need to say "patriot" instead. I don't consider the U.S. population to be genetically superior to others in the world, but I love my country, think it does a lot of good for the rest of the world, and am proud of our system of government (while hating politicians).
Woah woah. Careful with terms like gas lighting. That is too complicated for this sort of crowd. Next you will be throwing around words like obfuscate.
My answers to the test presented. 1) What does America mean for you? Order then freedom. 2) What does the word privilege mean to you? A token right not protected by law. Something someone expects because they are whiny. 3) When was the last time you cried and why? I assume onions and comedians don't count so that scene from WALL-E where he dies. It was sad. 4) How do you feel about the police? They enforce order and are underappreciated because people envy their power. 5) How do you feel about guns? I don't like them personally. If a robbers breaks into my house I would prefer to use a sword.
None of them were sarcasm. Especially the one about the sword. I'm not big on guns. Its too easy to kill someone. A man can live without an arm so a sword just seems like a better idea.
JCDenton 2012 not to nit pick here but with a gun fatality is less likely depending on ammo used there are plenty of non lethal options on market vs a sword or any other bladed weapon which requires skill to use especially if you are going in without the intent to kill there are so many major arteries that a small cut will cause the assailant to bleed out in minutes. Just my thought on it though.
I am a baby boomer. Millennials don’t let big business intimidate you. It is an unspoken effort they use to manipulate and exploit you. You have a lot of good qualities and some room for improvement also, just like previous generations. Ask the older generation about abuse to women, not being inclusive, not socially connected, long hair, subsidized college loans,
He's on the right track but he's making it way too complivated. You only need to ask one question: "What is the one thing uppermost in your mind when you're applying for a position?" Just the one question. The one answer you're looking for is this: "The most important thing is how I can help my employer make a profit." That's it. Only one in every 500 applicants will give you this answer. I don't care if the person is a purple-spotted lesbian snowflake who walks with a limp. Doesn't matter. All I care about is whether the employee is loyal, hardworking, disciplined, and can help me grow my business.
ridiculous. absolutely ridiculous. If you're hiring people based solely on their ability to ass kiss, sure. While the question is a decent question, the better answer is "I want to work hard, learn skills to better myself and be an asset ANYWHERE I end up."
that question will get you a lot of bad employees.cause just cause someone tells you what you want to hear doesn't make them a good employee. the best way to find a good employee is to ask questions that have to do with their personality with no obvious right answers.that way you know who you are really hiring and don't end up with a lazy ass kisser.
The irony: (Just read the comments) Filled with snowflakes & liberals who are upset about this guy, but don't take my word for it, take a look for yourself.
James Thacker : You're using words wrong. He's not upset, bent out of shape or worked up. Triggered, meltdowns, SJW's, snowflakes are not terms associated with Conservatives & Republicans as are relaxed, cool, calm and can properly articulate a rebuttal.
James Thacker - Oh, so now being upset with the many entitled, narcissistic children in adults' bodies entering the workforce constitutes a "snowflake". Funny, his grievances sound quite justified.
Good for you! I'm surprised the host was so shocked with your common-sense answers. Basically, you are looking for non-millenials from the millenial crowd.
Man, this is the worst Onion skit skit ever :( I really like the Onion, but their skits have been declining in quality recently. Can you guys tell me what kind of snowflake I am based on the diameter/likeness to Roger Ailes' decaying body? I'd rate a 9 out of 11 because the details are suspicious and require further investigation (hence why I've come to outsource this question to the faithful followers of FOX). My attempts at making a painting out of love-juice would make Roy Moore blush, but I did it on an easel rather than a 13-year-old girl so I don't think he would approve. EDIT: Shit, I just realized this is a video made in earnest by FOX. Now I can laugh again.
Also, just because Roy Moore lost to Doug Jones in the AL election, doesn't mean he didn't diddle kids. If this is partisanship over someone's right to not get diddled by the powerful rapist, then I'm sorry, but that's not me being a snowflake, that's Republicans being morally deaf. Your American Hitler and his faithful cabal of Scooby Doo villains is really distracting the media from any further investigation. So be glad about that. We wouldn't the truth to come out now would we?
Matter of fact, I worked for a company that enjoyed a continued growth rate during my tenure as COO of 20.75% per annum extended over 12 years in that position. It grossed sales in the billions for the last 6 of those years and never filed any form of bankruptcy. So, who's f*cking sad now?
I cried when Scar killed Simbas father in the Lion King. I was 10 years old. I also cry when I see things that remind me of my time in the service. I also cry every time I pick up my Remmington 870 tactical 14 shotgun. That's my baby.
As my Mother said to us (her children) all while we grew up "If you do not work , you do not eat" and it did not take many times (where she would enforce this rule) for this point to hit home with us.
One of his questions specifically asks about the religion of a prospective employee, which is not particularly wise if you understand the law. I don't believe for a second he built any business from the "ground up". This is a guy who came from the upper middle class suburbs and thinks that because he had to work at the red lobster as a teen, this means he really understands overcoming adversity. Using labels like "liberal" and "snowflake" means that you are uninterested in understanding other people and instead invent caricatures of them so that you don't have to learn anything.
Agreed. You have to come from a single mother family in the ghetto, and be great at basketball to be successful and overcome adversity. Screw that "working at Red Lobster" BS!
Idk, asking shit like “When was the last time you cried?” sounds like an oddly personal question to ask. Imagine getting that question on an application, you’d think it was a prank xD
The term ‘snowflake’ is a sentiment that I do largly agree with in that there are too many people ‘triggered’ by opposing views.... However the irony of the people who throw this term around is hilarious. Right wing, middle aged, conservative Christians who do not want to deviate from current social norms and are offended by any suggestion that there may be a better alternative. That are offended by any notion that life may be a little tougher for other demographics and that it might be a nice thing to level the playing field a little. .... I’m sorry but getting offended by the sugestion of being a little nicer to each other to the point of making slurs such as ‘snowflake’ and ‘libtard’ is far more deserving of the.Looking forward to all the right wing snowflakes proving me correct 😁
3 months later and not one person has cared enough about your comment to insult you like you predicted. You'll find most of the right would rather debate, or just vote.
Nationalism is considered social conservatism and social conservatism is a result of low IQ. If one cannot question why believing one's country is superior one is missing that ability. The inability to question authority, the government, and national supremacy are all evidence of low IQ. On the other hand, the ones in power, able to sway you to obey authority for their own gains do not have a low IQ. Just those whom are tricked into thinking nationalism is in the people's best interest.
Well blatant support of the United States seems like nationalism, which is honestly a sign of a lack of independent, critical thought. Your allegiance shouldn't be to a government, but rather to the people it represents. The government has the potential to be corrupt and full of greed... but its people are truly who are worth fighting for.
My question would be 'Do you consider browsing social media on your phone to be 'work'?'. Unfortunately, the correct answer is 'Yes- this is a marketing company so it's all chargeable time'.
The main reasons he cites in the first 1 min have nothing to do with political leaning or perspective, it was all about basic competencies. Then he somehow transitions to "Americans"... as if the same idiots he just talked about not wanting to hire, have not been fostered and brought up *in* American schools, and we should be questioning not their values, but why the schools failed to teach them basic things like civics. Then the interview transitions to yet another sub-plot : loyalty, and then some ridiculous 'mindset' as he calls it, that is basically about work ethic. Then in conclusion, there aren't any 'right or wrong' answers, and you have to stand by your position, especially on your view of the police and guns (as if this matters in a workplace? Police = good, robbers = bad; guns = seriously dangerous and often useful). This is pure agit-prop, Fox nonsense; the red meat it's zonked out viewers lap up like milk. He concludes: "I'm going up against people who have a sense of entitlement and won't hustle" - which is some sort of hiring dog whistle for liberals? As if ONLY liberals don't have hustle and a sense of gratitude? C'mon anyone who has hustle and respects hard work is someone ANY CEO should hire regardless of political stripe. In short the logic here is just plain missing and this is a pure puff piece that ends up being right wing drivel.
The people he is trying to weed out will cost money to train, more money in low productivity and entitlements, and severance (and possible lawsuits for being entitled SJWs). Bad employees are often worse than none at all. They cause others to walk on eggshells around them. Others have to cover for them while they are taking long lunches, coming in late and leaving early, and so on. Good employees will leave if the bad ones remain for long.
1. He's a marketing CEO, meaning he probably needs people who can confidently present/sell a position/idea to others, regardless of the merits of the position/idea. Like he said at the beginning, the answers don't matter as much as the way they're formulated & presented. 2. As to the nature of the questions, he implies that a lot of his client base is strongly patriotic, probably conservative in nature. Therefore, it would make sense to hire people who feel strongly about patriotism and who are conservative in nature. No use hiring a liberal whose values would clash with most of his clients. Imagine sending over someone who thinks the armed forces are brutal killers to a client composed of mostly veterans. That wouldn't go over well.
i used to kinda have a sense of entitlement when i first got a real job after grad school then eventually i realized i was too good for that job now i earn roughly 3 times as much for my time working my own biz rather than someone else's
At least you did something about it. You busted your ass and now you're successful. Perhaps you could talk to snowflakes and liberals and tell them the truth.
Taxtro what was he entitled? More money and respect than those years ahead of him? lol I commended him on his actions to do something which he did. I was referring to those who whine and complain of unfairness and don't fix it. But again, what is a young 20-something entitled to? You have to earn money and respect. Liberals just think everyone caters to them just because they're alive and cry bloody murder when they get a dose of reality. Safe spaces, political correctness and free hand outs paid for by hard working people. I find it amusing when they get a dose of reality that things aren't just given to them and they have to actually earn it. I'm not sure what you're thinking or what you believe, but I am interpreting your choice of words and your confusion as a sign that you're a snowflake.
Translation: he pays the Federal minimum wage. He will never raise your salary no matter how long you work for him. He is the type of boss who calls you in your day off, at non-convenient times, to show up to work, and you can not say no to him, because he thinks he is doing you a favor for hiring you.
That's an absolutely a genius way to filter out workers that might unionize or make requests to their employer. The working class has to know its place and be grateful for the opportunity to serve us, otherwise they hate America.
Like the fact he said entitled to 4 weeks of vacation…..Hmmm I wonder why the US has one of the lowest work Place morale of the western World....There is ALOT wrong with our system over here in Sweden, that NOT being one, we get 2 weeks first year (unpayed) and second year its 5-6 weeks depending on Company, and im pleased to say we have alot higher productivity aswell as morale. @@thomasschmidt6424 Well that's stupid. Since when does one's views on the second amendment serve as an explanation for one's work ethic? Wish there was a way of measuring that... maybe like a resume or one's previous job experience, yeah that would be much better huh?
I'm not an American and I don't fit into right/left politics. This test is stupid. Why? Imagine if a liberal company owner had the exact same questions? Now you know why it's stupid.
Most conservatives wouldn't really want to work for overtly liberal companies, but they would be logical and reasonable enough to do it if it means keeping up with their mortgages and other financial obligations.
@@sumralltt Google fired a man for trying to espouse that women were inferior to men. That's not socially acceptable in basically any major company anymore.
I mean, he seems to only want people who aren't leftists which I guess sure or something, but it's clearly not a "snowflake test", you can hold views antithetical to his employment standards and not think you're magically entitled to anything.
I thought he did a decent job of trying to avoid political affiliation, at least in this interview, when the reporter really wanted to talk about it. I think that any self-entitled person, regardless of political affiliation, won’t get a job there. It just so happens that the majority, or at least the VOCAL majority, of leftists have a sense of entitlement. That doesn’t mean they’re all like that, or even that MOST of them are like that.
Mess8424 it's at least explicitly worded to avoid political bias, but a lot of the questions still overlap with very political implications (policing and how it should be carried out and questioning how much of what one earns is entirely their effort and not in part due to the circumstances they're in), or at least they are in the United States. The exception is the one about crying, I think. The rest still carry a heavy political connotation in the States afaik.
Leong Kin Wai I realize that, and while a couple questions are a bit questionable, if he truly does “grade” based on quality of answer/argument rather than their specific answer, then it’s not a problem. Like he said, a lot of his clients are very patriotic. Someone who is at odds with police officers or military would not be suited there, because this company needs to make money. And those people exist on both sides.
People become more productive when they have vacations. No need to grind yourself through work when you produce a lower percentage of work for each hour spent at work. I don't want to waste my life working my life away for some smuck like that that makes me "earn" my vacation on his terms - for all we know he could think that for every year you work you've "earned" 1 day of vacation. I like the Danish system better - the economic productivity is about the same as in the US, but they work 5 hours less/week than Americans and have a legal right to 4 weeks and paid vacation each year. 12.5% of your pay (is added on top of your regular pay) goes to paying for your vacation. That money is paid out when you take your vacation. So if I make $20/hour then I get paid $2.5 into my vacation time or a total of $22.5/hour. In that way Danes truely work for their vacations and aren't at the mercy of their boss to say when they can take a day off or not.
I thought this test would be a way to weed-out snowflakes (some that could be quite useful) but, instead, it turned out to be a test to weed-out opposite political views (someting that is quite disgusting). This CEO is bound to find out, the hard way, sooner or later, how damaging to a business it is to not recruit critical, intelligent and engaged candidates just because they might think differently from him.
You said this way more eloquently than I ever could have hahaha. EXACTLY! Good idea overall to weed out entitled people, but man is he going about it the wrong way by putting the focus on his own values.
You have no clue how he looks at the questions answers. There can be people with differing political opinions who also possess a strong work ethic, and that comes off in the answers too. I think it’s a great idea, and you can’t assume you know exactly what answers he’s saying no to, he even says “it’s less about the answer and more about how they formulate their answer”
Being a nationalist means you are proud of your country. Gandhi was a nationalist, Stalin was a nationalist. Being a nationalist is just being proud of your country, idk why she insisted he might be crazy.
DIVINE RITE OF KINGS kind of, they rebranded what nationalism is associated with but that does not change the actual definition. I have noticed the left does this a lot, changing words definitions to fit their narrative of capitalism and the west being evil and authoritarian and socialism being good. Granted sometimes what they say makes no since well because they have redefined terms and forgot to tell the rest of the world and argues from that base.
Martin Bluck I think the idea was to have employees that aren't entitled and cause problems in the work place. The SJW class on constant lookout for violations or offence is a never ending problem that can easily be avoided if spotted pre-hire.

Entitlement isn't the same as making demands. In an interview is the time to make clear the things both parties require, that's capitalism. If your damn good in your field of work you can be demanding and should ask for money, benefits or any requirements.

"It looks like one of the questions is 'What does America mean to you?', what kind of answer were you looking for?"
"You know, the irony of this test is it's not even so much about the answers, it's about how people formulate the answers and how they stand by that. I want some hardcore Americans, people who are proud to be American."
Then it *is* about the answer, isn't it.
@avicenna - Exactly. His questions are done in deception and deceit, which is a glaring sign of his narcissistic and "control freak" personality.

Spot on as they say in the UK !
It's cause the questions aren't related to that at all.
" none of which are unreasonable or cheeky, by the way."
Yeah, sure!
So, it's been a few months - you find a job yet?
For years I used to research prospective employers to see if I'd be a fit. I, too, always had a list of several questions I hadn't been able to find answers to and there were generally a few points which came up during the interview where I wanted clarification. I completely agree that an interview needs to be a 2-way street. If it isn't then you risk becoming a company doormat in some firms
I have done the reverse interview many times.
You should probably keep most of the questions for the final interview, not the initial one.

Oh I know. It's why turnover can be held over an employers head. I work with good bosses and fight bad ones; bad ones invariably got there by resume, good ones typically built themselves.

That thing about "last time you cried" bit is asking for someone to start a lawsuit because of discrimination on the grounds of mental ailment, specifically depression in this case.
...exactly why you weed out the snowflakes
As a licensed mental health professional since 1982, this is a stupid attempt to politicize psychology, and narcissistic development. A person shows "entitlement" when they, deep down, feel so victimized and shortchanged by life that they expect special compensatory treatment that leaves no room for a genuine work ethic. This has a lot to do with the parenting they received (or didnt receive) and NOTHING about political values and beliefs. Next!
Oh my god someone that actually knows what they are talking about
The fact that only Fox News thinks this is a laudable achievement speaks volumes about this guy and his business.
"non-discrimination lawsuit"
Based on what? Political ideology is not a protected status. Discrimination isn't necessarily a bad thing either. You just think because there's discrimination it must be bad.
His customers are from the same group he is trying to hire, so of course, he is weeding out those that don't fit.He is not in business to inovate his company is in a service position.
I agree that his conservative mentality isn't really smart of his part.
Since when is 'nationalist' a bad thing?
Nationalism is a supremacy. The belief that your country is great and the best is not a good look. It's a racist point of view and research has shown that it is the result of low IQ. We can't blame those with low IQ that are easily brainwashed by government and other forms of authority, but we can help them learn that nationalism is not okay.
I think people need to say "patriot" instead. I don't consider the U.S. population to be genetically superior to others in the world, but I love my country, think it does a lot of good for the rest of the world, and am proud of our system of government (while hating politicians).

The old jump-how-high is underappreciated.
I am a baby boomer. Millennials don’t let big business intimidate you. It is an unspoken effort they use to manipulate and exploit you. You have a lot of good qualities and some room for improvement also, just like previous generations. Ask the older generation about abuse to women, not being inclusive, not socially connected, long hair, subsidized college loans,
Nationalist= proud of ones country.
So YES I'm a Nationalist.
He's on the right track but he's making it way too complivated.
You only need to ask one question:
"What is the one thing uppermost in your mind when you're applying for a position?"
Just the one question.
The one answer you're looking for is this:
"The most important thing is how I can help my employer make a profit."
That's it.
Only one in every 500 applicants will give you this answer.
I don't care if the person is a purple-spotted lesbian snowflake who walks with a limp. Doesn't matter.
All I care about is whether the employee is loyal, hardworking, disciplined, and can help me grow my business.
Leon Allan Davis Or you just pay the person working for you and dont expect them to kiss your ass the whole time
ridiculous. absolutely ridiculous.
The irony: (Just read the comments)
Filled with snowflakes & liberals who are upset about this guy, but don't take my word for it, take a look for yourself.
Yeah the original snowflake here, the CEO, was so upset that he had to waste time with his discrimination test.
James Thacker : You're using words wrong. He's not upset, bent out of shape or worked up. Triggered, meltdowns, SJW's, snowflakes are not terms associated with Conservatives & Republicans as are relaxed, cool, calm and can properly articulate a rebuttal.
Only criminals hate prisons... I love prisons!
James Thacker - Oh, so now being upset with the many entitled, narcissistic children in adults' bodies entering the workforce constitutes a "snowflake". Funny, his grievances sound quite justified.
Totally agree with Mr. Reyes, You are entitled to nothing, you have to work to get what you want out of life.
I mean, there's no journalistic integrity to speak of in this video. So, it was an honest mistake. But, that might just be me being a snowflake.
Still alive and traumatized by Roy Moore's terrible actions?
And they're honoring a guy who has two failed companies in his past.
Matter of fact, I worked for a company that enjoyed a continued growth rate during my tenure as COO of 20.75% per annum extended over 12 years in that position. It grossed sales in the billions for the last 6 of those years and never filed any form of bankruptcy. So, who's f*cking sad now?
What does "when was the last time you cried?" have anything to do with entitlement?
Exactly. You could just be an emotional person, but that doesn't mean you're a... ugh... snowflake
But then again, wouldn't crying when trump won just be classified as loving your country?
jeanchristophegatien nope.
Says the boomer whose retired while the rest of us young pple watch our jobs become automated u forget u dont get paid unless we have money
His reason for asking is why. He doesn't care why brought cried...he wants to see your thought process ....
It’s been 2 months and not one “snowflake” has corrected you. What social norm that is alternatively better which middle age Christians don’t accept?
Republicans vote dude...and I'm not middle aged. Plenty of young right wingers. Wake up
3 months later and not one person has cared enough about your comment to insult you like you predicted. You'll find most of the right would rather debate, or just vote.
@@Ginupseed you just proved Kierans point. lol

Good man.
So being for the United States makes you a kook....gotcha....
jab7168 sad isn't it
Hello my fellow "Kooks." I'm also a "Deplorable." I'm a Deplorable Kook.
Hey Garbage---your name is perfect.
Well blatant support of the United States seems like nationalism, which is honestly a sign of a lack of independent, critical thought. Your allegiance shouldn't be to a government, but rather to the people it represents. The government has the potential to be corrupt and full of greed... but its people are truly who are worth fighting for.
I would rather dig my eyeballs out with rusty spoon, than work for this guy.
Omg I love this guy ,,,,,,, true American
I want want a copy of this test for my own small business .
Dollar Bill it’s simple find someone with some common sense and then ask them to help you.
IT WILL COST TOO MUCH TO TRAIN LOSERS HOW TO THINK.
Steven Fielden ok zippy
The people he is trying to weed out will cost money to train, more money in low productivity and entitlements, and severance (and possible lawsuits for being entitled SJWs). Bad employees are often worse than none at all. They cause others to walk on eggshells around them. Others have to cover for them while they are taking long lunches, coming in late and leaving early, and so on. Good employees will leave if the bad ones remain for long.
You obviously don't manage people
Just the type of employer I always wanted.
i used to kinda have a sense of entitlement when i first got a real job after grad school
then eventually i realized i was too good for that job
now i earn roughly 3 times as much for my time working my own biz rather than someone else's
He is the type of boss who calls you in your day off, at non-convenient times, to show up to work, and you can not say no to him, because he thinks he is doing you a favor for hiring you.
juan martin Don’t forget he hires illegal immigrants to pay them even less.
And the award for whitest discriminant boss goes to...
Did you just make a race assumption?
Frank Rizzo nothing to do with lol XD
That's an absolutely a genius way to filter out workers that might unionize or make requests to their employer. The working class has to know its place and be grateful for the opportunity to serve us, otherwise they hate America.
Great job Kyle
Like the fact he said entitled to 4 weeks of vacation…..Hmmm I wonder why the US has one of the lowest work Place morale of the western World....There is ALOT wrong with our system over here in Sweden, that NOT being one, we get 2 weeks first year (unpayed) and second year its 5-6 weeks depending on Company, and im pleased to say we have alot higher productivity aswell as morale. Unlimited sickdays, you cant help if you are sick, (aslong as you show a doctors note).
How are those "asylum seekers' working out for you guys?
This is the kind of guy that will call you a snowflake for prioritizing friends and family over the money he's making off of you.
I demand to be paid full time including benefits for the next 16 months of my pregnancy. Don't even think of calling me in without my permission.

I'm happy to say my youngest, who is 22, worked hard to put herself through college, got the degree she wanted (with an emphasis on Computer Science at my insistence), and is now both working fulltime and pursuing a masters in the field of her chosen profession - Library Science. Always been a self-starter, up and out the door without anyone having to tell her, great grades right along, and friendly, talented, and beautiful inside and out. The next older daughter went into the Army straight out of highschool, now has a four year old after two years in service, and going to school and working full time. Wish I could take credit for it, but they managed themselves to find a way to get what they want through work. Maybe not typical millenials, but certainly enough to make any dad proud.
As a long-time teacher I have found that good parenting cannot be over-emphasized. I'm guessing your kids are also humble because they got that from their parents. I'm wondering, too, what you think you can take credit for. If you were asked to present to a group of parents of middle-aged kids, what would you say?
I get that he wants real 'Americanos', and I applaud that. But, what does my stance against guns and my other political views have anything to do with my work ethics?
#theghostmachine
It demonstrates your character or lack thereof.
I agree, I hope he “grades” these not on the answers given, but on the WAY they’re given.
@@thomasschmidt6424 how? My stance is that you don't have the cajones to serve either in the military or the police force you shouldn't be entitled to owning a gun just so you can hold a glock side ways or post about how nice it is to go hunting with your kids. This ain't even about gun control. Fuk civilians they haven't earned shit
You're absolutely right.
Political views are irrelevant, up to the point of violating someone else's rights.
Yep that is why Google is firing people who don't agree with the cultural views.
Congratulations, you have a better view of Equality than most people.
There is no prize, only to be self aware amongst Hypocrites
Most conservatives wouldn't really want to work for overtly liberal companies, but they would be logical and reasonable enough to do it if it means keeping up with their mortgages and other financial obligations.
Then he would only hire liberals, nothing would done and his business fails.
@@sumralltt Google fired a man for trying to espouse that women were inferior to men. That's not socially acceptable in basically any major company anymore.
If they bring their mom, to the job interview, it's a dead giveaway.

do this for universities too
This sounds strikingly similar to only people who agree with a particular political party need apply.
You missed the point moron. It's strikingly similar to only people who agree to a strong work ethic. Something you obviously know nothing about.
He said the answers dont matter. I'm a liberal and I don't play identity politics or sjw. I would have passed this test with flying colors.
Won't you please work your magic at my employer! Please!

I mean, he seems to only want people who aren't leftists which I guess sure or something, but it's clearly not a "snowflake test", you can hold views antithetical to his employment standards and not think you're magically entitled to anything.
#Leong Kin Wai
Nah, the types that hold antithetical views to his are always going to be entitled parasitic SJW types.
I guess it makes him an extremely alt-right Nazi then for holding what is the opposite view to SJWs.
See, I can fling around buzzwords too.
Hell im union in Canada and i get 2 weeks sick time 6 weeks vacation but been with my company 15 years
I would rather be given this questionnaire than the multiple choice personality survey (that I failed) on the Darden restaurants waitress application.
I really never thought I'd see a conservative snowflake....but there he is.
If I met him I would refer to him as snowball because he is such a snowflake.
Yep have a sense of pride in ones country - what is the world coming to - LOL
Is this part of the inclusive, or tolerant part of being a liberal? I'm confused.
Snowflake CEO probably lives in a gated safespace, has a thinksforhim phone, and flies the freetodothingsmywayonly flag in front of his house.
All cons are snowflakes.. it comes with the territory.
Right, how dare he make fiscal discussions for the company over political radicalism.
NimbusKhan NK couldn’t have said it better myself. He’s to worried about choosing people like him than actually weeding out the idiots
Spoken like a true snowflake lmao. Cry more.
So if I love my country then I’m a nationalist?
PrinceEdward describes living in the EU perfectly
Thank you kyle for not following their version of the news and not letting them create the narrative!!!
So he only wants to have employees that share his political views- what a snowflake
no he wants what any employer wants , workers who actually work not self entitled cry babies and do you even know what the term snowflake means ?
R Mack
Probably not, but I wouldn't want to work for a twat like him anyway
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Martin Bluck I think the idea was to have employees that aren't entitled and cause problems in the work place. The SJW class on constant lookout for violations or offence is a never ending problem that can easily be avoided if spotted pre-hire.
He wants his right wing safe space!
Why would any skilled worker want a job with a braindead Conserviturd? Go work somewhere else that won't be bankrupt in a few years LOL I bet this CEO dude robs his own till.
