Kjerag BASE jumping

Some video i filmed from my week at Lysebotn. Mostly filmed with my GoPro2. The footage from 54sec to 1:11 is me jumping all the rest is still me but on from the top of my helmet.

I just realized how amazing it would be to base jump. I went canoeing with friends and family on a river called the Okatoma, and halfway through you can get out and hop off a wooden ledge about 15 feet tall into some water and my first time was exhilarating. That was 15 feet. This is a few hundred.

Haha its funny heaps of people say that but most deaths at the moment happen even after your parachute has already opened. I've heard of people smacking into rocks under canopy and having full face reconstructions, along with other incidents.

I don't think a helmet matters when base jumping. Either your parachute works, or it doesn't

I've been to Kjerag and talked for quite a while to some basejumpers, very friendly guys and I learned allot. I hope I have the money some day to start doing it.
At @1:37 you land on the so called "tennis court"? Cause I heared it scary as fuck :p.
But just going there is amazing on its own, its to beautifull. I miss Norway ...

Learn to skydive first. Itll cost you around 2500 dollars or so to get through AFF courses. I would not recommend BASE jumping until you have around 200 skydives or so under your belt.

@Anna Evans That is true for Skydive rig that will open the reserve, but not for the BASE rigs. In BASE jump you have to open yourself, there is not a chance to lose consciousness... That never happens when you are used to it
