I have this exact build but with a 2.low and a revolver and mine is a monster. You need to lay those front and rear shocks down more and take the weight off the rear axles it’s not needed. And get some Velcro from Home Depot for the battery and ditch that strap it’s gonna hang you up. If you have and questions please feel free to hit me up bro
I love it there’s nothing better then a day out with the RC’s. I’ll do the same sometimes & take most of my RC’s out including the mini crawlers. Only problem is I don’t want to leave or come back home & imagine if I could just quit working & just play with RC’s everyday man that would be awesome!
Been wanting to do a gspeed build and was stoked when I saw that you did. Do you plan a more in depth video on it? I was out crawling here in Wyoming today. I noticed your gloves and I can totally relate. It was 34 degrees with 30 mph wind. I get jealous of those fools in California on days like today. Great video man!
@4 Link RC I just can't decide if I'm going to use portals or not. I'm also interested in the opinions of someone that's into rc crawling but new to gspeed. I'm more or less anti Facebook. Rc forums are about the only thing that I may be missing out on. Thanks though.
@T I've been thinking about brazin(spelling?) all time low for a portal rig and an lcg straight axle with the gspeed. Can't afford both at once but need to make up my mind and do one. I'm not sure if there's an advantage using a brazin with portals or not. I also wonder if anyone is running portals with servo on axle with either chassis. Thanks for the support!👍
Super sick man. I wish you could see mine. It’s almost done. Just need servos and a motor. I’m also running the cliffhanger body. Cut the bed off similar to your friend Travis. I think that’s his name. The black and orange one. You’d love thing.
I actually just picked up a Negative G RC carbon LCG chassis for my TRX-4. It totally transformed the capability of the TRX-4. Here in Montana, there is a ton of snow everywhere, so not able to get out for a while and really do any crawling, looks like I need to take my RC with me next time I make a Vegas trip and stop in St. George for a day of crawling!! 😆
I have 4 of them a ar45 treal portal v3 carbon with fmm and creeper t ,ar60 v3 , enduro v1c1 and a enduro ar44 mixed 6x6 build . All have 3bro g14servos and 3bros motors and overlander winches .. ran off mamba x’s.. 2 have the new acis motors one has a Yellowjacket and other has a kratos.
I have the v3 carbon with lay down servo mount ,enduro transmission with team knk 25% overdrive, Holmes stub nose revolver 2200kv, Holmes shv 500, mamba x esc, enduro axles and shocks tuned with 40 weight oil in front 50 in the rears , in the works RC high clearance link set, punks custom 3D carbon fiber wheels with voodoo klr tires, and a jconcepts junior mortician body. I have the front set to almost full droop and stink bugged the rear a little bit. Weight is just over 5lbs. It is a really fun and capable set up. My sons trx6 is the only rig in the fleet that can basically keep up in straight steep climbs. Can’t wait to see some more of yours.👍
Happy holidays, & like someone else running Flatiron tires.. I put a set on my Capra!! Got 4 corner brass,as 88grams f/r diffs..in rain,on rocks!! Sticky, sticky!! Dry& warm today...stupid sticky!! Look like,as of I, using foams that came with tires!! Loke the way you drive,& godspeed my friend!!
Nice truck man. Can't wait to see where it goes. I have a northwest scaler designs build. Been kind of considering selling it and building a gspeed. Truck looks great love the terrain.
Awesome build, love how it just floated that front tire on that first part. I just ordered the v3 today with the lay down servo mount and looking at getting ar45 just unsure if I want portals or straight axles.
@@amonkeyrc1387 I don't really think one is better than the other. I prefer straight axles for the lower center of gravity, however there is some terrain where the portals definitely have the advantage.
@@amonkeyrc1387 not so much in performance, but the internals are definitely more robust than the older ar44 axles. The other advantage is that they are readily available, and don't have to come off another truck, or purchased as a bunch of separate parts.
Love my v3 rigs. On my first v3, i run the ssd pro44 offset axle in the front with the VP vs4-10 pro rear axle. The truck is light weight, but the weight i do have is down low. Traxxas gtr 90mm shocks, vanquish vfd trans, vanquish 1.9 method 310 wheels n hyrax g8 tires, mamba x with a hh puller pro 2700kv, the body is the jconcepts 'tucked' ford. My other v3 build, i used the phoenix kit. Still workin on that build, cant wait to give it a good run. Theres a build thread for it on rccrawler in the 1.9 section called 'the bama phoenix', if yall wanna check it out
Looks and preforms killer, nice work. I was looking at a Gspeed rig for ages but considering I was going to be running Team Garage Hack forward motor mounts and transmissions I went with one of their Carbon Sherpa chassis instead. I've only just finished it up but is been to hot to take it up my local spot for testing so far. Admittedly a hot day for my would be a cool day for you... I've got a a Gspeed G Shot Skid and link set on the way over which I'm going to try and working with a local build chassis. If not I'll be ordering an orange carbon chassis at some stage in the future. I've got most things sorted apart from axles.
One I ain’t Got G speed, Would like to build one. And this place wow I would be in heaven, appreciate your sharing as always, sure wish I didn’t live as far away I would be there, but from Michigan ways for me to go enjoyed the video and happy 2022
Great build. Is there a video out there that explains the different classes in simply terms? I have tried to read the SOCA rules but it confus me the more I read.
Looks like he’s running his upper rear links in the lower position and backwards.I suggest he email Gabe at Gspeed. He will get his questions answered quick. 👍🏻
I run my shocks top row second hole from the front. Seems to be the sweet spot? Softest springs in front one step stiffer on back. A few drops of oil to keep them smooth. I'm running scx 10iii shocks purple front green rear. Hope this helps :)
hey man, just a heads up I wouldn't advertise that the servo gets that much torque. RC Review did a test on that servo back a year ago and it barely hit 600 oz from what I remember at 8.4v.
Well it's kinda controversial but I run a dual 2200mah on my sliders and I've seen my gspeed do a hell of alot better than sessioned drives . You actually seen my setup back in October.
WOW great driving, and a beautiful place, it is raining so i have been watching all your videos, great info, and your driving is of the hook, !!!!
Thank you I appreciate you watching!
Amazing crawler.

I don't have a g speed yet but I have a spare time hobbies chassis kit. It's an awesome kit!
Man you have got some amazing rocks there. I thought I was spoilt living in the Peak District in the UK...
Running 10.3 portals and also a carbon chassis, in Michigan it’s the way to go for comp crawling
I’m in the middle of building my v3 right now! Love the set up

I just finished building my gspeed v3 recently, still have yet to take it out to get some driving and tuning in on it. Can't wait though

what are your wheelbase and track width?
I have a 10.2 on a v3 carbon chassis. It works very well but the thing I've noticed the most is the break over with that skid angle is huge.
Hobby Wing Fusion motors are the best for crawling. I have 3 1800kv an 1 1200kv. Best money ever spent! Imo!
I really liked my 1800 Fusion, but it didn’t fit in my Gspeed. If it did I’d be running it 👍🏻
GSpeed… Taking it to the top!!!
I dig it ... the commentary 👌
Just started my scx10ii build. Waiting on my rock pirates parts. This looks like a great”next” build!

I absolutely love my V3! If I can help in any way, I will. I have managed to get tons of flex and stability out of my setup.
That’s an awesome build man. So much potential.
Love my v3
Sweet setup!

What size hardcore links did you go with.very capable rig great video start to finish 👍

Great! Can you tell me why people are going for AR45 straights over portals? And are they really better then the the old AR44s?

Como puedes montar con transmision element . El motor en esa posicion ? Gracias
Where did you find a full assembled ar44 set with steering and pan hard links?

Cool stuff! 😀
Yep, I like it.
Great build. Is there a video out there that explains the different classes in simply terms? I have tried to read the SOCA rules but it confus me the more I read.
You need to invest in a set of 3 Brothers rc anti foams.
Cool ~~ Spider-Man 👍
Hey Logan
Did you shoot this at pioneer Park or Sand hollow that spot where you said most trucks roll backwards I'd love to mess with that spot.
Hi Logan, why did you go for straight axles in this one and not the AR45 portals? And are they any better then the old SCX10.2 AR44s?
Hey man curios on your comp right the scx10 im tryna build on simlar based off a first gen sc10 plat form would love some information
Do you have a Holmes hobbies crawl master mini esc paired with a revolver?
Wouldn't you want the rear bent links flipped around?
I would try different element springs like whites up front and either blue or yellows in the rear.
I noticed you run your hc links backwards in the rear, is that just for more belly clearance
Looks like he’s running his upper rear links in the lower position and backwards.I suggest he email Gabe at Gspeed. He will get his questions answered quick. 👍🏻
Do you think this body would fit on a Capra?

I have been looking at that hobby wing fusion combo. Think I could fit one in a capra?
Takes some cutting but it’s possible
I just got a axial capra 4ws what are the first upgrades I should do?
Metal wheels and tires
Ya du poids supplémentaire à l avant ?
You’re building a VERY similar build to mine. Same chassis, axles, motor, front motor mount, and body. Would love to come run side by side sometime.
hey man, just a heads up I wouldn't advertise that the servo gets that much torque. RC Review did a test on that servo back a year ago and it barely hit 600 oz from what I remember at 8.4v.
Awesome rigs bro and I’m a new subscriber I seen u on the live stream from Cali crawler livestream. Have u ever been to horseman’s
Hello logan 👋
The rear lower links are mounted backwards.
For Tuning, get a linkriser for the rear. And to much flex is not good. Keep it as it is.
They are mounted the same as HCRC has them on the site. They’re not wrong I don’t think these need a link riser
@@westdesertwheeler what is the wheelbase of this truck?
What about portals is there something you don’t like about portals? Just wondering
Straight axles get the truck lower to the ground and I can deal with less clearance pretty easy
lol that's it epic thanks for the laugh
I would say get even shocks like dravtech or modded traxxas big boore shocks
Well it's kinda controversial but I run a dual 2200mah on my sliders and I've seen my gspeed do a hell of alot better than sessioned drives . You actually seen my setup back in October.
Please make a review of Corrupt Carbon Works Reaper and Brazin Scale HiLow chassis, they're far more superior than Gspeed, seriously.
Send me both
