in this video i show you how to install this type of heads up display H.U.D
i decided to swap to this h.u.d for the simple reason that it allows me to monitor my car in more detail, it also allows me to clearly see the information
i did another video on the other type of h.u.d where is uses a reflective piece of film that is stuck to your windshield and it reflects the info via a device allowing to to see the info on the reflective film
BUT this was an issue as
1. didnt look so good
2 hard to see in sunlight
3. looked out of place
4. was a big device
5. didnt show all the info this one shows
hence why i optioned for this heads up display instead
i break it down and show how to install it
and also some of the cool features ths hud has to offer
im very impressed with this huds and have to say that
i will definitely recommend it
it also helps with safety , in that, u can keeps your eyes on the road and still be able to see the speed via your peripheralvision
installing it was very easy as u can see in the video
removal of side panel and A-pillar
then just route the cable and hide it best you can
u should not be able to see anycable at all

Does it turn on when turning keys. Or does it need to be pressed on the side every time
turns on with key..take a sec but turns on by itself with acc mode
Mine seems to turn on when cranking the emgine. Alltought i did buy my own from aliexpress. And i have a PreFL W204 250CDI. The gadget looks the same tho.
@@Samppaze mine turns on as soon as I get to 2nd turn before cranking ... it takes a bit though like 20 30 secs
@@MIKEYZVLOGZ yup seems to be working the same way for me too. turbo gauge caps at 1.5 bar. (2.5 if atmos is calculated). i believe carly red 2 bar (3bar if atmos pressure included) i need to sort this problem and find a solution from settings. otherwise this gauge is really usefull. glad that you made a video of it. would have never tought of looking for one of these.

BUT IM SURE YOU ALL GOT THAT REGARDLESS, NOT A BIG DEAL BUT I WANTED TO CORRECT MYSELF SO U KNOW IM NOT JUST TALKING CRAP ..HONEST MISTAKE AND I CAN ADMIT WHEN IM WRONG OTHER THEN THAT LET ME KNOW WHAT U THINK REGARDLESS LOVE TO HEAR THE FEEDBACK

I tried this on a 1999 Porsche Boxster and it works. Although it is only supposed to work on 2004 and above vehicles.

Mikey, I say this with love (you should know by now)…it’s an interesting little gadget but I think the main issue is that this is simply a heads-up display for an OBD scanner. I sometimes plug in my scanner and leave it on my lap while driving - just for diagnostics. There was one point in the video - somewhere around 9-10 minutes where you were reading way too fast. You said “direction” when it was about Direct Injection :). My point is that if you don’t know how to read these measurements, then it’s just arbitrary…you kind of revealed that by going too fast and taking some important measurements for granted :). I use my $20 plug in scanner for real time data on my lap every now and again. And I research what certain settings are in the normal range for my C300 and then check against it. I wouldn’t treat this product as a permanent heads-up display. As you said, some things you checked match up with the dash and that’s all you need - temporary check. I feel as though if a driver is trying to read redundant information that your car was designed to show you in the dash, you can honestly crash and kill yourself bu trying to read a tiny, arbitrary, redundant screen. So I’m sorry, but I don’t think this is a good product at all. It’s an irresponsible product that offers heads-up display when there shouldn’t be full-time, heads-up display.
I can respect that ... very detailed feedback .. I can appreciate that mate... however plugging in an obd2 scanner is basically the same as using one of these ... my point is your able to view this info in a device like this ..not necessarily while you drive .. ofcourse u should pull over first ..not look at it while you drive ... these are primarily designed to just show speed ... just because something is designed doesn't mean it should be used irresponsibly..its still up to do the right thing
Great content keep them coming also struggling to put new LEDS in for the parking lights any tips for quick fitting.
use a set of needles nose pliers .. wenever I have trouble with then I use a endoscope for my phone so I can see what I'm looking at .. they are real cheap like 15aud... after a while sometimes due to dust and dirt it gets stuck but usually u can pull it out from the wires ... if not use pliers to help grip the socket of the leds not the wires !!

Can you add more fuel to the AFR ratio in the settings? In the “Fuel Adjust” menu? want to get my A/F.R in a more optimal value, currently running a little lean.
unfortunately it's only a monitoring system not able to modify those settings

I searched and it might be the "Speed sensor" or "ABS module"
The thing is when I searched for online genuine parts, most of them had only C300 and mine is C180 Kompressor. Is there any differences in spare parts? 💔

hey mate in this case I think the part maybe the same..not specific to your model ... but u just need to double check ... try ask mercedes about the part first then once u have the part no. search for it yourself online ... I know things like brake sensor and speed sensor use the same ... but as always you double check first

Hi Mike, in the display with 6 data stream, how do you change the top 4. The one I got has time and other useless info listed on those 4 and I can't figure out how to change those. It only allows me to change the last 2 data on the bottom. Thanks again for the video!
all displays can be changed u need to hold the menu button til it flashes then press up and down til it goes to the display u want to change and press select it will change

i watched your previous video, and you mentioned the light bulb constantly go bad , i think i found the reason, i used the led 194 and it lights up even with the vehicle off, but when i try on the original regular light bulb it doesn’t light up , so i think all the light has constantly power to it
which light bb do u mean for which video ?
@@MIKEYZVLOGZ the video for w204 the light bulb will go bad very soon, i tested on both side marker light and both 4 top parking light bulb, they will light up even i lock the car for hours, i test with 194 LED , and also the amber light bulb

yes there is an alarm setting for battery voltage, speed set alarm , rpm alarm set , and coolant temp alarm , so yes there is the setting to set an alarm for when u want it to sound according to your setting

did u check the manual ? it has basic instructions on it ..but I guess abut of playing around is needed cuz the manual is never clear enough ... what u wana do ? adjust speed alert?

try test on anoither car , or maybe the item is defective, it shoudl just work not special setup , just plug and play
Does the unit automatically turn on each time you start the car? I noticed there was a power switch. If it does automatically turn on, does it turn on to the last displayed screen?
yes turens on automatically and goes right to the display you choose
@@MIKEYZVLOGZ Thanks for the information. The actual screen that I would like to use on each start up is the “Data stream”. Just to double check, will the unit also turn on and display the data stream first if it was left on the data stream screen during shutdown?

hi mate yes .. ur able to set a warning on certain temps for example I've set mine to 100 deg cels and it give u a sound wen u reach that temp.. ur able to set it
