I know you guys stated that you wanted it to be a more "well-rounded" car, but have you considered investing in a slipper clutch for the drag racing portions of its existence? The launches would be much smoother/faster and far less harsh on the drivetrain.
I like how Rob never forgets to mention that he's a rotary owner in a lot of these episodes. Even in this one, despite the fact that he's meeting fellow JDM lovers, he still manages to say he's not used to "piston engines" lol..
Rotaries are terrible! RX8s have been a rare sight on UK roads for well over a decade now. At one point there were loads on the roads near me, we even had a Mazda dealer in town. But that rotaries unreliability ruined what was an otherwise great car. If only Mazda had just used their 4 pot turbo, the RX8 woulda been quicker, had way more power and torque and there would still be plenty on our roads. Instead they were needing rebuilds at 50k, drank oil at a mad rate and had the fuel economy of a 7ltr V8 but without the power, torque, reliability etc.
That was amazing as I have followed the build, love the Throtl boys. BUT Rob look at you go bud, driving the heck out of the car on that last run. Now lets see the "new" 4 rotor rip the quarter mile bud! Thanks for all the content Rob and thank you Top Gear for brining him on board.
the word of the day for aftermarket bodykits (in the US at least) was Bomex. this word was bandied around this Supra whenever I saw the movie with fellow enthusiasts. TRD wasn't even mentioned, even though it may have been the progenitor of the whole kit; like SSV is to my Celica kit, but TRD made the first version.
Oh man, Rob gets to drive some dope ass cars and this is one of my faves he's driven so far. Such a lucky guy and can't wait to see this thing on track with the NOS working.
It's great seeing a modernized modified car. Everything looks great with the updates. You can modify a car 20 years ago like the supra in FF, but in 20 years, those mods end up dated over time and then you keep going to make it better. Take for instance the gauges. The single dash update to clear the line of sight is a great example of how new tech with standalone systems can look so much better. I do have a gripe that the stereo was removed. You gotta have tunes man. It completes the package. Other than that, great build. I have been appreciating Throttl's builds a lot.
Is that a 10 second car? Sorry, I had to say it. Excellent effort Throtl crew. I would love to see this go up against the Just Driven Supra that they have built as a 1:1 of the original. Shout out to Craig Lieberman, who owned the original.
the vibe of 1st FAST AND FURIUS is amazing ! the BT music ,those epic Vinyls ...its crazy! and if someone can re-create it again! it will be icon movie! The movie are about making money and big marketing ...but no way near the 1st one!
Love this! Have 1 issue which is with the carbon interior, would ahve been wise to cover the rest of the dash with an alcantara material to bring the quality in line with the rest of the build other than that its sublime!
Never 1st gear burnouts.......line lock, 2 step, and 2nd gear but out of it won't hold 3rd. And for the love of everything drivetrain preload the clutch on the leave!
I've been Drag Racing for years! Never use a drag radial on a standard / manual car only a full slick the Drag radial does not give or wrinkle and will shock your drivetran best to use a drag radial for automatics
No offence but my boy Rob is a better driver. Big diff or not, theres a way to leave from a stop with a car on slicks. This car looked amazing to drive ! Driving a supra is on my life goal list
The original had the bomex kit on it. I think this one looks a lot cleaner. But F&F1 was still in the ricer period so clean, oem+ builds weren’t as popular except maybe within certain Honda circles.
Looks like a nice car overall. But those stainless welds on the downpipe 🤮. 2nd mistake is not running slicks with the m6. Not surprised at all the drive train was instantaneously broke
Is anybody even preloading the launch? I thought Dahm would but it didn't look like it. Hard to tell with the editing. Not a fan of Throtl after they desecrated that stock GSX when there's a million unfinished widebody DSM's floating around. Admittedly this is a cool build, hope they didn't do the same thing to a nice A80.
This was so much fun! If you want to see more about this build, you know what to do ;)
your mum

Pretty Rad you guys teaming up with Top Gear! Throtl is the best in the biz! Make sure you guys peep out the build vids on Throtl's channel!
Funny I watch al you guys builds and I thought I was subscribed 😅
Why does the fuel rail gauge always at 0?
"Either the diff leaves, axle leave or I'm leaving" Great quote from a passionate guy!
Love how they got all the team members a spot to talk on what they did to bring this car to life. Excellent stuff!
Which F&F vehicle would you like to see in the shop?
your mum
RX7 ofcourse!
I can’t wait to the Throtl boys build the RX7. It will be at least as wild as anything you’ve built Rob.
CARB vs. Off Highway.
Paul Walker's Nissan GTR R34
I like how Rob never forgets to mention that he's a rotary owner in a lot of these episodes. Even in this one, despite the fact that he's meeting fellow JDM lovers, he still manages to say he's not used to "piston engines" lol..
Everyone in this video he talks to from Throtl, also owns a rotary...multiple...lmao.

He's been driving a Lamborghini for 20 years. Chill out.
Teenage me from 22 years ago got very excited watching this! That car is stunning!
I watch Rob. I watch Throtl. Here they are together, on TopGear? Whaaaaaaaat?
What’s happening?!
That launch was nostalgic.
What a build and I loved the redemption arc. Everyone wants this car to blast!!
14 seconds maybe 😂

This is actually like if FnF took place in the 2020's, like visual styling mixed with modern day styling.
Rob's urge not to blurp out "Pop the hood!"... 😂😂😁😁
Wow! Watched the entire build of this beauty and now seeing it in the track it’s like the cherry on top
Oh man, Rob gets to drive some dope ass cars and this is one of my faves he's driven so far. Such a lucky guy and can't wait to see this thing on track with the NOS working.
great video especially the music and cool angles of the car speeding past, felt like an old school Fast and furious scene.
Dahm x Throtl? The collab I never knew I needed
Love this series, another aspect of Rob I'm enjoying.
Paul Walker : What's the retail on one of those?
Ferrari driver : More than you could afford Pal!

Other than that, great build. I have been appreciating Throttl's builds a lot.
Such a cool tribute car. 👌🏻. That livery on that car is just the beezneez😁💥🔥
I was in love with this car in high school. Great tribute!
i didnt realize quinn was 7ft tall. he makes Dahm look like kevin hart next to the rock lol.
The style design on 220 is so well done in 2023 still looks so sexy 30 years ago 200 mph is mind blowing they actually got it doing 212 mph
Throtl boyssss 🔥🔥
this Team is amazing. I have been following this build for a long time
Would be even cooler if it wasn't so painfully scripted! But that's okay, that's what Banging Gears is for ;)
Is that a 10 second car? Sorry, I had to say it. Excellent effort Throtl crew. I would love to see this go up against the Just Driven Supra that they have built as a 1:1 of the original. Shout out to Craig Lieberman, who owned the original.
Veilside RX7 which Dom drove in the first movie
But with the full Veilside kit from Tokyo Drift
Stock diff.. haha classic! Those never was build to last some serious power
I’m excited to see this car being run in a full quarter mile on the new Banging Gears show to see what it can really do! @MrJWW
That's the most stocked supraaaa🔥I have ever seen 🙌🛠️. #topgear #supra #edition
the vibe of 1st FAST AND FURIUS is amazing ! the BT music ,those epic Vinyls ...its crazy! and if someone can re-create it again! it will be icon movie! The movie are about making money and big marketing ...but no way near the 1st one!
That rearend blowing instantly is hilarious!! Grannis racing makes a IRS ford 8.8 kit that would probably work pretty well
Top Gear!😎 Amazing!!! Thanks
Finally! So pumped seeing rob in a supra
Throtl and Top Gear! Amazing!!!
that's so callin for a part 2!!!!
That’s so awesome, lovely build too! Makes me wanna go drive my Supra now!! *goes and grabs keys 👌❤️🙌
Love it!
Please make it happen!
Car manufacturers, take example!
the only thing i dont like is how high the front looks. besides that everything about this is PERFECTION. definitely my style.
Gotta love them standard Toyota diffs, they make great engines, but their drive lines leave something to be desired
Glad to see the throtl boys on here
Pretty dope my dude
They editor picked all the right music!
I've been Drag Racing for years! Never use a drag radial on a standard / manual car only a full slick the Drag radial does not give or wrinkle and will shock your drivetran best to use a drag radial for automatics
I love the Rob Dahm videos !
Paul will be happy to see his supra still burning the floor
Brian would be proud
The only reason im giving this a chance its cos rob is here! Please be good
Love to see it fly
Just Driven channel has an amazing tribute replica aswell! The closest thing to the original supra from f&f1
Rob my man, you have to line this thing up with your 3 rotor
Naw. This thing properly tuned against his "finished" 4 rotor would be awesome. Maybe on this vs that from Hoonigan
@@sordout0098 4 rotor's awd and 1500+ and this supra is 1000 to the wheels tops sooo... Kinda in a class of rwd 3 rotor
Yay! The #throtl guys got featured in TG!
No offence but my boy Rob is a better driver. Big diff or not, theres a way to leave from a stop with a car on slicks. This car looked amazing to drive ! Driving a supra is on my life goal list
i love rob so much
Stock rear diff, "should handle" haha more like "it might"
The original had the bomex kit on it. I think this one looks a lot cleaner. But F&F1 was still in the ricer period so clean, oem+ builds weren’t as popular except maybe within certain Honda circles.
great vid
Art. That’s it that’s the comment
so cool bro
1000 hp with the stock diff..no surprises when it blew the . Even when it did launch it looked pretty slow , like 12 sec+
I just bought the exact same car!
Mind you, it's only 1/24 scale
Rob thinks. Gotta get myself one of them jay z’s.
Rob makes these videos what they are
Supraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa 🔥🔥
This was weird finding the throtl boys on this channel now
So is Rob part of TopGear now
The.. thing.. that EVERYONE didn't get to see.. WAS THE TIME SLIP!🤔😏
that side-view mirror gap...
"Whats the retail price on one of those"
More than you can afford pal,Mk4 Supra
If anybody’s wondering what the rear end is, I’m gonna guess Grannas Racing! Looking at everything listed it seems to be his rear end conversion kit.
Fantastic video, I swear that the second guy (quin?) sounds Dutch to me. Is he?
Should have left that tall spoiler off and went with a drag style one since its a tribute car.
is that a supraaaaa
"Stock diff" lol yeah that ended as expected...
🏁❤️👍🏻 TOYOTA SUPRA
Yo, pop the hood....2JZ
Is there supposed to be oil in the pressure gauge face?
Not a fan of Foreign cars but that looks fun to drive.
They said it in the beginning that the diff was the only stock piece so the should have been very obvious.
Is it a 10 second car though?
You know what makes this authentic? The Supra stick, if you know, you know. 😂
Forever my Paul🙏💖✨
Thats not a 10 second car… more like 8 😂❤❤❤
Need a slipper for the clutch. Need get cleetus behind the wheel an see what it can do.
Yup. We need more.... amazing car amazing times.
amazing
Looks like a nice car overall. But those stainless welds on the downpipe 🤮. 2nd mistake is not running slicks with the m6. Not surprised at all the drive train was instantaneously broke
My tribute to f&f is the dump in the toilet I take every morning
Hey @TopGear why did you censor Rob Dahms logo on previous videos but you keep thrtls logo clearly visible on this video.
Is anybody even preloading the launch? I thought Dahm would but it didn't look like it. Hard to tell with the editing. Not a fan of Throtl after they desecrated that stock GSX when there's a million unfinished widebody DSM's floating around. you have built it for the drag machine..........and I see some negtive camber on rear tires?!?!?! What's going on???
Is it a 10 second car?
Leave it to Rickie to always break something lol #fullsendrickie
What's the retail on one of those?
You dont make 1000whp and leave the siff stock.....come on guys
badass
