  • Visionary Dr. Mantil and others paint a picture of PET’s promise to radically change medicine. Under the innovative spirit of Charles Kettering, Virginia Kettering donated the money needed for Ohio’s first PET/Cyclotron center in 1990. This facility was established in a community setting, a full 10 years before FDA approval and before most academic centers - most of whom still don’t have cyclotrons.
Kettering aims to give access to the latest Molecular Imaging agents and participate in clinical research to the people of South Western Ohio. Though not an academic medical center, Kettering aims to enter the next phase of innovation, and deliver advanced Theranostic based approaches to therapies in the community hospital setting.
