Alabama stole one last year, it doesn't always work.
@@MrModamanReviews .. Actually that was Texas..
@@MrModamanReviews that was texass bub.. it’s laughable to see people that think fsu still should’ve or could’ve gotten in over bama 😂🤡
Needs to rip Bama for getting blown out by OK. How many losses should Bama get before they are out? Like what four or five or six, how many exactly? It was fine and good when an undefeated FSU was left out in their favor but now it’s a crime to leave them out for three losses. I’m really happy to see them left out and I was glad to see it happen in real time against OK. Also, are we going to have to listen to them cry every year they lose three or four games and want to be in the playoffs? They need to get over theirselves, nobody understands the AD’s point including him and the fans.
Hey, Bama....dont lose 3 games
It was all in Bama's hands. They fumbled. Losing to Vanderbilt and OU is what kept them out. Strength of schedule does not cover those losses.
Don’t lose to Vanderbilt. Quit scheduling Mercer. So happy Bama and their whiny entitled fans are out 😊
They're better than half the teams in the playoffs lol
@@MemphisKennedy-xy5ye maybe!!
That's right !!
@MemphisKennedy-xy5ye 3 losses the last one was bad they are not better .
and don't get smoked by Oklahoma !!
Hey Bama OU fan here don’t loose to a bad OU team or be a 3 loose team you dont belong in the playoffs
Maybe don't lose 3 games?
Cry baby. Stole Georgia and Florida State's spot last year now they want to be a victim. Like Finebaum saying none of the college football playoff games are interesting. Cope and seethe, punk.
Alabama, Don’t loose to Tennessee Vanderbilt, & Oklahoma. & you would get into College football playoff.
Losing to Vanderbilt and Oklahoma was the problem
@@jordandennis6794 scoring only three points against Oklahoma
Beat OU and you are in.
Maybe don’t get blown out by a subpar OU team?
You see someone’s true character in not so good times. He is an Elitist. Doesn’t care that they got it right. Bama did not deserve to be there period!!!
You have to give the SEC credit...the narrative they push sucessfully....When a SEC Team beats another SEC its because they are that good! When an an SEC team loses to a non SEC team, they arent any good and/or dumpster fire It seems to me that they sucess fully push the idea that all SEC teams deserve to be ranked based on what they were ranked last year. An argument could be made that ARMY deserves Tenn spot (a weak one but an argument nonetheless)
The message is to play an easy SEC schedule and an easy non-conference schedule and you will get in.
Saban never lost to Vanderbilt . You must be the Alabama AD burner account.
They had a great strength of schedule, top 3, but for that to matter, you need to WIN, like Ohio State and Georgia did, who also had top 3 strength of schedule, but didn't lose 3 games. If you do lose, it better be to good teams, like top-10, not to 2 UNRANKED teams, one of which was a barely-bowl eligible Oklahoma, WHICH WAS A BLOWOUT LOSS. You can lose to an unranked team once, like Ohio State to Michigan, but they only lost by a field goal, not 3 touchdowns. Oh, and barely -bowl -eligible Oklahoma kept this supposedly-elite Alabama out of the end zone?
They beat good teams, but to be playoff-worthy, you need to show consistent excellence. You can't just lose a fourth of the games you play and demand to go the playoffs. You actually need to play like the best to be considered the best. Can't just insist "yeah, okay, we played a worse season than all but 3 of the top 25, but we're really good. Trust me bro."
They're better than the other playoff teams? Where? 39th in total offense. 50th in passing offense. 41st rushing offense. 32nd in total defense. 52 in rushing defense. 30th in passing defense. 22nd in win percentage. Where are they top 12? They barely even belong in the top 25, and that's only thanks to wins against Georgia and South Carolina--but two quality wins don't make us ignore two not-quality losses.
Alabama is good where?
Alabama and the SEC are showing just how soft they really are. All this complaining is just coming across as privileged and whiny.
Alabama will be fine- the whining is a bit annoying… I mean the SEC is good but not great this year… Georgia Tech exposed that.
3 losses. Didn't make it to the conference title game either, Im truly shocked Bama didn't get in. No Saban effects this yr.
How does conference consolidation feel now SEC? Having these huge conferences will always result in this because there’s now way for all the best teams in the conference to play each other
Alabama should not have gotten in, under any situation unless they won the SEC Championship. This AD is clueless.
Alabama is going to play Mercer 10 times if they can ! Screw what the ratings are . The sec teams should play schedules just like SMU, Indiana and Penn st!
Yup, having a hard schedule didn't help Bama.
It wasn't all about strength of schedule. Ohio State and Georgia's strength the schedule are comparable to Alabama's, but they managed not to be blown out by a barely bowl eligible Oklahoma team, that kept them out of the end zone, and won by three touchdowns.
If you're going to lose to an unranked team, lose to only one, and do it by a field goal, like Ohio State did.
Or just don't lose to an unranked team at all, like GA did.
You can't seriously believe you can just walk around losing games and still be considered the best? Those words have meanings, and by "the best," we mean they can beat almost everybody almost any day. If you can't do that, you are not the best. That's kind of how that whole thing works. You can drop one game and still be maybe the best. You can drop two games, as long as one of them was against a good team, and maybe still be considered.
You can't drop three games, only one of them against a good team, one of them against a decent team, and one of them against a not very good team, and still claim to be the best. At that point, you are just quite good.
Sit down, Alabama. You are finally being held accountable, LIKE EVERY OTHER TEAM.
He's saying Bama strength of schedule did not help them this year so why scheduled hard out of conference games going forward
Mama I didn’t win, but I still want the prize Wahhhhhhhh
Booooo hooooooo 😂🤣😂
The biggest issue I have is that you can lose your conference championship or not even make it and still get into the national championship. They should have expanded conference championships and had them play into the national championship. That would have increased the value of conference championships.
50/50 shot Bama sues the committee
Maybe if Alabama played 9 conference games and didn't fill in with Little Sisters of the poor they may have been in.
Boo fing hoo.
They created a super conference and are upset not all of them are getting in hahaha
24-3
Bama Is not implying they didn't get in because of their non-conference schedule, but they are implying that playing a harder schedule than others does not move the needle.
Hey are right
The AD damn sure did bro. Can you hear?
Saban never lost to Vanderbilt. The AD's point is moot.
@williebates3398 yes. Can you comprehend?
@@nole74 how the fk are you going to schedule your conference games bro? The only ones you control are non conference that you play now. And Bama always schedules division three competition anyway so why's he btchin.
You’ve stolen a spot so many times it’s not funny. But your bitching and whining didn’t work this time though. We’ve all heard how it’s everybody’s fault except the one you need to blame. And that’s yourselves. So just suck it up and move on.
I think his argument is that they should play more cupcake games to have more defacto bye weeks to make the schedule easier since you don’t get punished for having an easier schedule if you win. It doesn’t beat your team up as much, and you can have more practice time.
How can they schedule MORE cupcakes than they already do?
Or is the AD trying to say that Western Kentucky (8-5 CUSA), South Florida (6-6 American), Wisconsin (5-7 Big Ten), and Mercer (11-2 FCS Southern) are perennial playoff contenders?
Not that it matters, they could have played Oregon, Ohio State, Boise State, and Army as their non-con schedule and still been in trouble because they lost to 6-6 Vandy (which looks FAR worse in hindsight, Vandy was looking like an 8-9 win team after beating Bama), and 6-6 Oklahoma (and not just losing, but getting blatantly embarrassed here). No, they aren't the only team in the playoff picture to have an ugly loss (Arizona State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Tennessee all have one loss to .500 or below schools), but they have TWO of them and THREE losses overall.
Go enjoy beating on Michigan's corpse... or lose to them and give the rest of us one more laugh... and try again in 2025.
@ look at who they have scheduled in the future. And it’s really all risk and no reward with an expanded playoff. The current system rewards playing the easiest schedule possible
Alabama went 3-1 vs top 25 teams , SMU was 0-2 vs top 25 teams !
Alabama was 0-3 vs...
(6-6) Vanderbilt, who lost to (3-9) Georgia State 🤣.
(6-6) Oklahoma, who struggled to beat (4-8) Houston, Tulane, and (5-7) Auburn
Tennessee, who lost to a miserable (6-6) Arkansas team, that lost to (3-9) Oklahoma State
...and 2 of those top 25 wins, are over similarly overrated 23 Missouri (who beat nobody) and 14 South Carolina (who barely beat Old Dominion)
@ Missouri is ranked in the top 25 , South Carolina is a border line playoff team and beat the ACC champs, and don’t leave out Georgia, whom won the sec ! STFU 🤫 and stay in your lane. If you’re going to comment on this , state all of the facts !! Not, just the BS that helps your dumbazz take !
As soon as sec don't get thier way they act like a bunch of woke cry babies.
Shut up with the 'woke' stuff. You cannot articulate your point.
@CarlaJenkinsTV triggered woke
Nah, the rest of us are laughing at Bama's temper tantrum.
@@CarlaJenkinsTVHe clearly doesn’t know what the word “woke” really means. He just blurts it out as many places as he can because he thinks it sounds good. Really slams the point down. 😂
Saban never lost to Vanderbilt. Let's move along.
Exactly lol
Saban has nothing to do with this
To be honest, Alabama doesn't deserve the Michigan game.
I have 0 respect for Alabama because Alabama and the SEC have 0 respect for the sport. The reason Alabama isn't playing Army in a bowl is because of the bias the past 10 years. If College Football ranked teams accordingly , Alabama only probably has 1 quality win and that is subjective.
The first Rankings saw 5 SEC teams and 4 Big 10 teams. Yes , I don't count the Ole Miss win or the South Carolina win. If Texas doesn't Job to Georgia, It is only Texas and Tennessee that probably deserve to be in.
Sorry, but college football questions my intelligence as a fan. It is actually quite insulting.
Look. The SEC is just doi g to the NCAA what Texas used to do to the Big12. They are the best conference, no doubt about that, but they think that because they are the best, everything should be set up to favor them in every way possible. And just like Texas's issues ended up cratering the Big12, the SEC, should they fet their way, will crater college football. It is good for the sport for other teams to have an equal chance. Yes, it will hurt the SEC. But that is how you end up with a more balanced, more enjoyable, more evenly spread sport that engages more viewers. If the SEC gets its way, and because it is the best conference routinely gets 6 or 7 teams of a 12 team playoff, viewership will crater. The entire country will lose interest. College football will die as a major sport. Just watch, it will happen. Keep pushing SEC. If you get your way, come 20 years, you tv deals will be worth a buck fifty a pop.
Don't be a 22 point favorite verses Vanderbilt and lose the rivalry game @ Tennessee get crubstomped by Oklahoma
Do these guys normally cover another sport? Byrnes was talking about the sec schedule, every other conference is a cake walk. Go back to covering golf
The argument he’s making is that if the committee isn’t going to weigh strength of schedule appropriately, there is no point in scheduling competitive non-con games, which is the only scheduling that he has direct control over. He’s not willing to risk a loss or attrition on his team when the committee has made it clear that they don’t care if you’re beating up on bad competition vs playing a difficult schedule. I don’t know why that’s hard for people to understand.
Roll tide! I don't care about nothing but the tide, com'on ole buddy! Feels so good listening to the sound of SEC tears on my tin roof.
I feel like Bama definitely should have gotten in. SMU beat nobody of substance all year......But I thought Bama fans hate he crying. I could have sworn they went on and on about it last year.
Tide Fans: you're better than the other playoff teams? Where? 39th in total offense. 50th in passing offense. 41st rushing offense. 32nd in total defense. 52 in rushing defense. 30th in passing defense. 22nd in win percentage. Where are they top 12?
In order to be considered the best, what we mean is that you beat other people. You can lose one game and still maybe be the best. You can even lose two, as long as one of them is against a good team, and the other one was close.
If you're playing lots of other good teams, and you are the best, YOU WILL WIN ALMOST ALL OF THEM, like Ohio State and Georgia, who had almost identical strength of schedule to you, but didn't drop three games, two of them to unranked opponents, one of them do a barely bowl eligible team that kept you out of the end zone and beat you by three touchdowns.
If you lose enough games, you are not considered the best. This is called scoring. This is how the game of football is played.
For once you are being held accountable. Grow up and take it like a man.
No such thing as a quality loss, bama!! Only loss!! BTW, why does the SEC ALWAYS schedule weak Mercer games late in the season vs the beginning of the year like everyone else?????
That points out the SEC hypocrisy right there.
