I first played this when I was 6 years old and I got so scared of this boss battle that I completely stopped playing it and I didn’t beat it and eventually complete the game until like 2012 or 2013
I played it when I was seven, I was not afraid but I could never get through that part.
Fortunately I went back to buy the game when I was 10 years old and I passed it completely (well, never reach 100% because of the photos)

The Vagabond I was scared of this boss a little bit due to the cutscene but I didnt get pass thr part where you had to ride it.
Lol. I was scared but I thought if spiderman wasn't afraid why should I so I beat him on the second try. PS they should do this for a movie.
Asura Blaze Yeah like Doc becomes a giant lizard and starts terrorizing Manhattan and Spiderman finishes him off by pushing a crane on his body, knocking Doc out.

It's amazing how extraordinary that lizard serum was much more powerful his molecules in blood stream would react to a physical substance transforming into a omega giant lizard wow!,no wonder the serum was so unexpectedly unstoppable geez!
I thought Dr. Conners gave himself another injection of lizard serum, which blended with what was already inside him, causing the more concentrated blend to mutate him into Mega Lizard.

This was the hardest level! I used to play on my dads PS2 and we could never beat it. It made us so angry. No wonder why he hung himself. Talk about rage quit, lol.

I have the Wii version. I like how when he runs on all fours, you can stand behind a generator and he'll get stuck.

This, the Oscorp robots from the first movie game and Monster Ock from Spiderman 2000 were terrifying

The lizard design seems more dinosaur-like; you can chase him across the city and deal battle damage from direct hits while enduring an overall superior battle style compared to Spider-Man 3.

But the dialogue from the Venom scenes are lousy.
Different video game studios made the Xbox and PS3 versions and had more resources to make the storyline longer. The Wii and PS2 variants are essentially half what they are supposed to be and are framed as a lackluster rush job.
It's amazing that cutscenes from the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions were also included.

Why is it that the boss fight here is much better and intense than the 360/PS3 versions? Oh wait, usually games that get ported to the 360/PS3 when they were new are bound to have changes that doesn't benefit it at all and just make the experience worse honestly. Examples: Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and Splinter Cell: Double Agent. I mean seriously the cutscenes in this game look and animated better on PS2 than PS3/Xbox 360. Hell Harry's boss fight was better on PS2.

Ok I admit it im stuck in this battle 😂😂But I will try playing this game again because the last time I played this game,I remember I'm 8 or 9 yrsold
man, having played both the ps2 and pc version, one thing that I feel that adds to the fear and despair of fighting this boss as a kid is that, in the pc version the mechanic to defeat him is to stun him and then freaking lift him by the tail and throw him at the generator while in the ps2 you can only hope him to ram against the generator by fooling him into (which is easy when you look back at the game as an adult) or at the final case, jumping at his back and try to ride him into the generator, being capable to throw him in the pc version makes you feel that the Mega Lizard its not in complete control of the situation but having to be forced to trick his heavy body to hurt himself in order to win makes you feel that you are helpless even with the black suit. Thanks for the gameplay bro, it brought back a lot of memories.

I never got to beat this game on ps2 I got up to the vampire missions and my disk broke this was back in 2008 I bought the game again for the wii and beat it in 2016 finally it was hard for me as a kid to beat this on ps2 having to balance the thumb sticks it took me like 2 months to beat it I used to cry and turn Spider-Man friend or foe on instead 😂

This was always my favorite fight. I preferred this version more than the PC version, except I didn't have a PS2. I had a Wii.

Is hard to beat the lizard
I like the PS3 version way better to be honest the PS2 one was ok, but I have them on both versions the PS3 one had better graphics, more story lines almost like the movie, and cool cutscenes to it. I had a hard time doing this one getting on his back, and making him into those electrical machines, in the PS3 one he was way easier to beat by hand.

I was confused as to why curt was injecting himself with the lizard serum again,after when he should have learned his lessoned.I believed when he was struggling it was probably, because kraven might have poisoned him with some thing, and maybe he thought that the serum would help reverse it and remove it from his blood before he become a full omega giant lizard monster I think.
Craven wounded him in the back. Connors injected himself with the serum to save himself.

This was the mission I would rage out the most. Trying to bait him into hitting the generators were hard not only because the generators would stun you but also because he almost never charges ahead, and when you get to ride him, it takes forever for him to hit a generator. Also, when lifting the lever, the Lizard keeps hitting you whenever you're about to flip it. I lost a lot even in sidekick mode.
Safe to say, one of the hardest boss battles.
