  • What’s next for autonomous trucks, and where do we stand?
For answers to these questions, I talked to Andrew Culhane, chief commercial officer at Torc Robotics, at the recent ACT Expo. See why he says 2027 is the date they’ve circled for bringing autonomous trucks to market, and why the hard work comes in the next three years leading up to that.

Fully autonomous trucks are just three years away, and have been three years away for the past 20 years

Investors fund salaries and research. Got to keep them happy with good news rather if it’s real or not lol

@@Daniel-oy8ic Exactly. They even caught Waymo cars that were supposed to be autonomous being run remotely by human drivers. But they are STILL getting that sweet investor capitol money.

@@rumrunner8019 I’ve heard many release dates and estimated times in which they would be ready to roll out without a driver aboard. I’ve just never seen a self driving semi without a driver in the seat handling road construction on 635 in Dallas. They know that video would be epic but there’s a reason they don’t release it and it’s because they do not have it. Just promises.
