One of my favourite films, lovely characters, brilliant actors/actress and the music delicious. Never such a fantastic film has been made that married all 3 things up together such as Avanti. Funny, romantic and endearing.

One of my favorite films. The part I like the best is when Carlo, the Hotel Manager, asks the American diplomat to recommend him the safer job location between two locations, Damascus or New York. The diplomat says take Damascus. LOL.
This is one of my fav Jack Lemmon movies he and Juliet r amazing in this movie it is funny touching romantic and just a good movie to enjoy watching on a rainy day or over again if u not seen in a long time but I enjoyed this this was a great movie that does not give enough credit

Love this film to bits,go to Sorrento every year,have friends put there, eaten and danced on that terrace (Vittoria Excelsior hotel on the Piazza Tasso),had the whisky sour,lovely!Good place to dine,in reality not that expensive because you get what you pay for.

si hay un dios en la comedia ese es Willy Wilder y dentro de sus obras esta de Avanti , en España conocida como "que paso entre tu madre y mi padre" que hace un verdadero espoiler del argumento, es sin duda la mejor. hay escenas como la del mortuorio en las que pasas de la risa a las lagrimas en segundos. algunas escenas fueron censadas en la España franquista como la que se bañan desnudos en el Mar.
There was a very short piece that played when Bruno's girlfriend, the maid, comes down the hall to get revenge on him for dumping her. It reminds me a bit of Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana but it definitely isn't that, in fact I think it's better. Does anyone know what it is? And if so, where I can find it?
There was a tiny piece of music in the scene where the maid comes down the corridor to shoot Bruno. It's very similar to a piece from Cavillero Rusticana but it isn't actually that piece. I was hoping to find it on this site. Anybody know what it is?
I was a tourist in Italy and I learnt that Italy is the Sud. Okay, there was poverty and high crime rate, but the italian lifestyle, the, original mediterran feeling is at Sud. The North is too cold and continental.
Apart from the hotel that was mentioned in the previous response, a lot of the footage is from Capri, even though the story is taking place in the nearby Ischia, the lesser known of the two islands.
