I see your boat was making a guest appearance in the background of the latest Sailing Uma video. I was hoping to see some crossover. I don’t know if you were actually at the yard though. It would have been cool to see you meet each other.

Just came accross your video for the first time. Interesting sailboat fitted with twin engines. Like the bear alu looks. We sailed in 1968 from NL to east coast of Iceland in a 33ft alu build boat with a small 2 cyl Volvo Penta, Sailor direction finder and sextant. Thru the Faroes where the Dutch consulate offered us a shower. We were lucky with the wheater, but you dont want to be sailing in the North Atlantic in winter. The waves can be terryfying. Even in summer everything stays damp. We stayed in Seydisfjordur and the return trip via Bergen and Kristiansand. I'm kind of proud we did it, but not much a holiday. Pay attention and God bless.

That boat needs some aesthetic work for sure (polishing, etc - Not the hull of course) but it seems to be a "tank". Very strong and with insulation for high latitudes. I hope you'll keep working on it to make it look what I believe it can. Stay safe and enjoying the adventures. Now w/ the lady onboard life may be happier and more colorful. 🙂

rapidly approaching the time for when it's time to put the boat on the dry until next spring.

I just want to see more docking content! She looks like fun to dock. Just add current and wind. If you don’t already, you might want to arrive and dock only at day time slack tides at new destinations until you have a great feel for the weight and what will happen in the next 30 seconds while you can’t see the dock.

"I'm not sure we got Sohvi convinced yet." From my experience the ladies don't exactly love it when the hubby buys some piece of junk either to the garage or in this case the pier. But Arktika is honestly a great ship. It's not even a diamond in the rough but an actual diamond once you get the slight niggles sorted.
