I wonder if the unfortunate accident and deaths was theri excuse to drop the whole system. I can only hope the waste wood is left because they want it to break down as nutrients... if not, they are despoiling the land. Being a tree-planter in that terrain would be almost impossible!

as a lover of nature, i hate seeing what they did to that hillside. but as a railfan, i love those SWs
Worst part is they still do the exact same thing to hillsides up there, just without the SWs!
