Carman was ahead of his time were church youth ministry was concerned. They didn't know what to do with him & the youth movement that he led. They missed the doors he opened & the platforms he built because he didn't fit in their mold. They eventually adopted something of his style in nearly everything youth ministry thing & never gave him credit. Almost every Pentecostal church's youth ministry uses that hyper-youth-excited-about-Jesus style that came out of Carman's ministry.

I'm no longer religious at all, but Carmen inspired by high energy and my approach to life. Saw him live at REVIVAL too when I was about 3, and regardless of my religious beliefs, or lack of thereof, this man left a serious impact on me and my life, even called myself Little Carmen when I was a lot younger. RIP Carmen.

Not one of begging, posturing and faking excuses for what I thought were 'God's failures' as I had done before. Now I hear God's voice and I'm led every step. Can hardly put down my Bible. My family lived in Colorado Springs when this was filmed. Carman filmed the music videos for There Is A God and Amen at Garden of the Gods and Georgetown, CO respectively. The choir singing with him during There Is A God is comprised of members of our church, chosen because Carmen wanted representatives of every nation (my parents are the pilgrims at the front). Our church actually changed its name from Grace Fellowship to Church For All Nations, after this. My dad got to scout for the locations for Amen and chose Georgetown (his name is even in the credits - Lamont Green. Wonderful memories that I have thanks to such a wonderful man.
WOW what an AWESOME movie and video this was. When Carman put it out I think it was 1995, I don't know that there had ever been an movie/ videos creative combination undertaking like it. Carman was so talented and yet had a real anointing that touched millions and millions. God thank you for Carman and example he left us. Was too small to have known about this video. Only saw the RIOT music video. Going into it you don't know what to expect or how well the acting is gonna be. Looking at it I could see influences here and there like the "Rhythm Nation" wave that was happening from the Janet and MJ times and Carmen's acting/ storyline having a Sylvester Stallone vibe which was good. There's some parts in it that were dated and tooo much of a sight compared to now quality. Overall it wasn't bad.

When I saw this it was on 2 VHS Cassettes I think it was 2,000 or 2,001? I thought it was new at the time.
I almost bought this from the CBD back in the fall of 2002, but they sent my money back to me with a letter explaining there were no more. That was before the Rodeo Chediski Fire.
I wonder if this was ever released on DVD or better yet BluRay?
I saw this as a kid and didn't have an opinion.
