So, that would take shopping and meal prep off of the list of things they can do. Things like Instacart are not available with EBT/SNAP. They are, but the delivery fee is not covered. And it’s already hard enough to buy medicine, pay rent, pay one luxury item, even if it’s less than $10 a month, Pay for essential applications, for medical reasons, and pay for my cuddling medical equipment. I’m sorry. Your idea is great on paper, but does not work in practice.

I work in a grocery store, and we accept EBT cards from all the states. It seems to me that you can use that card to take a vacation. You can also use that card to buy pizza or eat at family restaurants like Denny's.

I am one of those people too. They got me on yesterday. I went to the grocery store the same thing that happened to the young lady that’s from Lithonia. I am from Decatur Georgia and I am a disabled person and I went into the grocery store and I had nothing And I looked at those transactions that was actually on my card. It was from New York. They took $149.99 at a gourmet shop and then they took $80.01 at a organ shop that’s in New York. This is my first time with this process. This is the first time this has happened. You got to do a police report and you got to connect back with the defects people to let them know that you did a report and investigator call you so this is just the beginning in the beginning start for me. That is so sad. That is very sad. I need to do something more about this
This happened to me back in September but mine was in Pennsylvania I live in Riverdale I found out it happened up there I just went online and done a fraudulent report and they gave me back my money I called yesterday in check my balance in my money was there they went to three different stores within 19 minutes that means multiple people had my information
I work for DSS in Virginia and they have been stealing peoples snap benefits all year long and it just recently started up again October 1st , this past Monday we have had over 30 people report their benefits were stolen with out of state transactions something should be done about this

It's hard to get and hard to keep. I was held up 3 months because I had to prove I wasn't still getting EBT from another state. It took them getting a letter from the other state office which took awile to get. I was OK with it but it's always more paperwork to provide with every renewal. I don't even get that much but it's such a blessing.

They stole ALOT from me. I’m in Georgia. I went to the dfcs office filled out some form I was given and had mine back within about 3 weeks later. Going through any other option will have you waiting even longer, months maybe. I’m thankful it was handled swiftly and yes somebody in newyork stole everything around 4 to 5 am in the morning. This literally happened in September 2024.

I live in California and this happened to me, November of 2023. It happened before Thanksgiving. I went to buy some groceries and barely had any money on my card. I had over 400.00 taken off my card. I am always very careful with my ebt card, so I was stunned and very angry! I went on the ebt website and found out it was used in Chicago, IL. So I called to report ebt fraud. I was treated like I was a criminal, instead of the victim. One of the employees told me, that there was rampant fraud in the system. It took 9 days to get a new card. Luckily my son lent me some money for food. My suggestion is change your pin number often and check your ebt website regularly.
Not even both just one has shown to have a very high efficacy rate in many parts of the world. Too harsh? Maybe a public caning say 20 lashes for first offense?
I knew it was inside workers because who the hell else would have that access to that system but them, the money was being stolen without even having my card my card was on me but it would say the cash was withdrawn in a different city, they the only ones with access to pins and info

I used to work for the state of Florida, on one of these systems. Granted, I never left training, but, I can give some insight. Everything I did was attached to my agent ID, even when we were in the lockdown mock system. If I did a mock call, everything had to be documented, per the state guidelines and rules. I could not touch even the protected accounts that we used without my trainer being over my shoulder and watching everything I did. What these people are doing is considered hacking by the info security training I got, and is definitely punishable by state and federal law, would lose them their level to federal background security clearance to work with personally identifiable information, and most likely would get them immediately fired and a jail term. At least, that’s what would happen or have happened at the job I worked at, which was just an effing call center.
I am retired and on SS. My food money keeps getting less and less each month due to inflation. No one has ever given me a dime. And that's alright. Proud to say I worked for almost 50 years and didn't have kids I couldn't feed. Don't have a lot but I get by.

I had a friend who's family was very wealthy collecting $1,000.00 a month in food stamps when they came in book form. They knew government workers, this has to stop.
My son was issued just $120 for the summer of 2024 in MD; It turned out to be only $40. Crosscheck with customer service rep. said it had been used, even though I didn't use that. So, the law has to deal very harshly with them.
Hopefully they do go to prison and they don't get a slap on the wrist but probably what they'll do is make a plea deal and they'll be out and about doing whatever😢

You got to do a police report and you got to connect back with the defects people to let them know that you did a report and investigator call you so this is just the beginning in the beginning start for me. That is so sad. That is very sad. I need to do something more about this

This happened to me back in September but mine was in Pennsylvania I live in Riverdale I found out it happened up there I just went online and done a fraudulent report and they gave me back my money I called yesterday in check my balance in my money was there they went to three different stores within 19 minutes that means multiple people had my information

I work for DSS in Virginia and they have been stealing peoples snap benefits all year long and it just recently started up again October 1st , this past Monday we have had over 30 people report their benefits were stolen with out of state transactions something should be done about this

It's hard to get and hard to keep. I was held up 3 months because I had to prove I wasn't still getting EBT from another state. It took them getting a letter from the other state office which took awile to get. I was OK with it but it's always more paperwork to provide with every renewal. I don't even get that much but it's such a blessing.

I live in NYC & they left me with $2.84. When I tell you I was livid & hurt 😔 all at once. Luckily, I got it back the following month Telling you, some ppl really aren't 💩.

They stole ALOT from me. I’m in Georgia. I went to the dfcs office filled out some form I was given and had mine back within about 3 weeks later. Going through any other option will have you waiting even longer, months maybe. I’m thankful it was handled swiftly and yes somebody in newyork stole everything around 4 to 5 am in the morning. This literally happened in September 2024.

I live in California and this happened to me, November of 2023. It happened before Thanksgiving. I went to buy some groceries and barely had any money on my card. I had over 400.00 taken off my card. I am always very careful with my ebt card, so I was stunned and very angry! I went on the ebt website and found out it was used in Chicago, IL. So I called to report ebt fraud. I was treated like I was a criminal, instead of the victim. One of the employees told me, that there was rampant fraud in the system. It took 9 days to get a new card. Luckily my son lent me some money for food. My suggestion is change your pin number often and check your ebt website regularly.

I used to work for the state of Florida, on one of these systems. Granted, I never left training, but, I can give some insight. Everything I did was attached to my agent ID, even when we were in the lockdown mock system. If I did a mock call, everything had to be documented, per the state guidelines and rules. I could not touch even the protected accounts that we used without my trainer being over my shoulder and watching everything I did. What these people are doing is considered hacking by the info security training I got, and is definitely punishable by state and federal law, would lose them their level to federal background security clearance to work with personally identifiable information, and most likely would get them immediately fired and a jail term. At least, that’s what would happen or have happened at the job I worked at, which was just an effing call center.

I am retired and on SS. My food money keeps getting less and less each month due to inflation. No one has ever given me a dime. And that's alright. Proud to say I worked for almost 50 years and didn't have kids I couldn't feed. Don't have a lot but I get by.

My son was issued just $120 for the summer of 2024 in MD; It turned out to be only $40. Crosscheck with customer service rep. said it had been used, even though I didn't use that. So, the law has to deal very harshly with them.
