Something I love about NMIXX is how you can easily differentiate their voices, like you know when Lily is singing. You know when Haewon is singing. You know when Bae is singing. Or when Jiwoo is singing. Or when Sullyoon sings. You know when Kyujin sings (especially when she sings live, that girl is amazing & her falsetto is insane). NMIXX are seriously too good!
Rememeber when you said that bae is like the member that you don’t know what her role is in the groupe but now you falling hard for her vocals 😭😂 it’s amazing
@@zico.6470probably because they are a Patreon user and the link of that video was released 3 months ago on Patreon but we’re only getting it now on UA-cam
Thank you for this reaction, i absolutely love Bae's voice, glad she's getting more chances to show it off! Fyi her voice sounds especially good in COOL;)
I will always hold out hope that one day Nmixx get their day in the sun. Even people who don’t support Nmixx regularly agree they are the most talented group in kpop.
o.o and dice are still my faves! i miss the nmixx change up, it was fun and different and unique, i still like their songs but there is nothing that truly amaze me, looove their voices, but i miss the change up so much :(
The new song coming out next week might return to that style. There's multiple hints with the visuals being darker/heavier, and the people who worked on dice and o.o for composition and lyrics seem to have worked on this too. There's also some lore stuff people speculate, but I'm not sure
Keen for your thoughts on the development of MIXXPOP with SOÑAR (Breaker). I like The Hub (esp Frankie Day and Awrii Will) producing for NMIXX (they also wrote Young Dumb Stupid)
These two songs dragged me straight into the Nmixx universe with no looking back. I really wasn't feeling their previous songs all that much (except for a few highlights here or there), and the most disappointing part for me have always been that they all seemed so talented with a huge potential, but just no real direction. I personally can't get into these try-hard songs that attempt to break the mold by switching up the genres every 20 seconds without really reinventing the wheel, and I feel like Nmixx (much like Aespa and other recent groups) have been at the mercy of these overachieving producer teams' desperate attempt at making the next new thing happen, instead of just making good music, all the while borrowing from a range of subgenres that don't quite seem to fit all that well together. "Roller Coaster" and "Party O' Clock" were - as I see it - the first truly enjoyable songs by Nmixx made with the confidence to stick to a coherent idea and see it through. The songs are incredibly well produced, and the performances of the group were scary good both in studio and on stage. I've been putting the It's Live versions on regular spins, since I discovered them, and they are just some of my favorite versions of any songs in kpop, because you can tell that this group is a group of vocalists, not merely idols or supposed-to-be-singers. They sound incredible over the really well made versions of these beats that are heavily inspired by UK garage, 90's hip hop, and deep house (with a splash of IDM), but they are just so far out of this galaxy, when you hear them over live instrumentation. They sound like they belong on stage with their own groovy band. So, all in all, I think toning down the (in my mind not very succesful) experimental approach, and sticking to a progressive, but more simplistic and well rounded formula, helps the group as a whole portray their strengths better. This is very likely, why I have these two songs at the very top of my list of favorite tracks from 2023 (a year that gave us TWICE - "Set Me Free" and "Moonlight Sunrise", NewJeans - "ETA" and "SuperShy", the Seulgi - "Anywhere But Home" mini MV, Kai - "Rover", and let's not forget Misamo's "Do Not Touch"). These two songs also exposed me more fully to Lily's musical talents, which has been a wild ride so far, and the group as a whole just has my attention going forward.
You know some people said NMIXX lost their color which they didn't do song like O.O and Dice from yt comments. When NMIXX doing song without mixpop such as Love Me Like This, they hate it so much.
@@LJ___ People say a lot of things. I don't hate that groups do one thing or the other, they are free to do so, and I'm not personally invested to the point that I care all that much. I just end up losing all interest in their songs. Personally, I feel that these skizofrenic productions, which some groups have (even going back to SNSD's "I got a boy") is one of the most desperate and uninspired trends in music out there. They attempt to do too many things, but poorly, and as a person who uses music for almost everything I do in my life, I can't see any purpose to this kinda style, other than to grab your attention short term. It's not on the performers themselves, who generally do their best with the material they've been given, but I just can't picture myself listening to these kinds of songs more than once, and certainly not while I'm doing other things like going to the gym, working, going for a walk, or cooking. It's too disjointed, unpleasant to listen to, and aimless. "Roller Coaster" and "Party O' Clock", however, have been on heavy rotation, since I discovered them, because they each have an overall coherent expression that I can work into the soundtrack of my life without having to stop, rewind, fast forward or just get annoyed that my least favorite parts don't fit with my current activity. But that's just my opinion.

Yep. My favorite voice is Haewon but Bae's is the most interesting one and her parts actually matches her voice really really really well.
