For connection I will say make sure your phone is only connected to the watch and no other buletooth device turn off all other bluetooth devices near by except your watch and phone. Turn on watch wifi as per this video ua-cam.com/video/b_P_-fN6WgI/v-deo.html And stay close to the wifi router these should help for faster update.
