Ahmed, i cannot find the ".3ds" extension, i am trying to import a 3dsmax file
.3DS format is available but not .MAX which is 3dsmax format.
@@TutorialsUp I have a .max file, how can I change it to. 3ds to import it in Sketchup?
Running SketchUp 2019 and I simply get a constant error no matter what I'm trying to import, lol. Command failed!
Reinstall Microsoft Visual C++ library aka.ms/vs/16/release/vc_redist.x64.exe
and Download latest of extension "1.0.7" from sketchucation
@@TutorialsUp Hola! No consigo la versión 1.0.7 de sketchucation, yo tengo el mismo problema al usar SKETCHUP 2019
Testing the plugin .. : The "Select a texture" - windows does´nt show up > when importing an fbx-file / importing a tree. The tree imports proberly > but without textures. The fbx is in the same folder than the textures > like in your video. So what´s the problem?
Just tried after reading your comment. and it works fine for me

Thanks for watching.
Did you tried on Mac because I can’t find in the menu the import selection?
This plugin is only compatible with Windows for now...
@Stefano Since v1.0.3 of plugin, macOS is supported.

@@samuel.tallet Still same problem sir after installing 1.2 version
Awesome. Thanks.
Thanks for watching.
thank you is this free plugin? i have spend so many hours converting max files into sketchup files. This will save so much time
Yes. It's free.
@@samuel.tallet perfect!!!! but what with fbx with more materials??👀👀
@@zuzca66 If FBX file has only one material: select material texture at second step. If FBX file has more materials: you can ignore second step because materials **should** be automatically loaded.
Спасибо МАСТЕР!!!

Спасибо
Из 3D's max файлы нормально импортирует ?
Thank's!!!
Thanks for watching.
Still doesn't change the fact that sketchup sucks at rendering plenty of edges. Once you have too much polygon it is barely usable.
I wish they would build SU from the ground up, keep the look and workflow, but make it as fast as Max. 🤞
@@sket83 make it as fast as blender. It has a potential. I want to leave SU so bad and transfer to blender. The simplicity of SU is the reason I am still using it. But I am about to do the transition any day now. I'm fed up with it's lack of optimization. Soooooo sloooooow
@@lancereyesromero7811 same here. seeing how fast blender is with complex scenes makes me wat to leave SU. Waiting for my license to expire than probably moving to blender
Since 1.0.1 version of Universal Importer plugin, you can reduce polygon count of imported model. This allows SketchUp to stay fast! :)
@@lancereyesromero7811It's not slow man, just turn off profiles options in styles tab and boom.
