In this VladTV clip, Boskoe100 spoke about being snitched on by his best friend. He said he and his homie were hitting licks together when they were around 15, and got caught. He was ready to take the case to trial but then his lawyer notified him that his boy ratted on him.
His boy was able to walk away with no time while he got 4-6 months in a camp. He said it hurt him because that was his boy he hung out with him on the regular. Once that happened, he said never spoke to him again. - Розваги

The truth is that the system would propably collapse if everyone started snitching on each other. Snitching would not work anymore because the system and the cops would not have time and resources to deal with all the new cases that would come up all the time.
The way I understand it is that there are two ways you can snitch either it is a case you are involved in yourself and got caught doing something or you tell on someone who did something you personally was not involved in.
