    I hope you all like this one as I have wanted to get a 4 into 1 on this bike since day 1! I do plan to make a short version of this video with just sound clips for the masses so I'm aware this one may be lengthy for what is accomplished. As I know many will chime in saying "would be better with stock pipes" just remember that that is simply an opinion. You have them, I have them, everyone has them. That does not mean your opinion is a fact. Just remember this is all fun and we can all enjoy these things in our own way which is what it's all about.

      Well said!! That’s the great thing about bikes….and cars…..making them your own! The downside to this build is that it makes me want a CB750 now. And then I’ll want a CBX again when you start working on that!! 😂. I only have a two-car garage man…and it already has two bikes in it!!!!!!

    My $150.00 72 CB750 came with a very well used Kerker 4into1 exhaust. Did the same thing you did and painted the head pipes black and cleaned up the muffler. Had to replace the end cap. I clicked the like button after only about one minute of watching. You are correct they sound the best with a 4into1 exhaust.

    I owned a 1973 Honda 350 CL and installed a 2 into 1 Jardine chrome header and muffler. The header/muffler wasn't one piece. I welded the muffler to one of the header pipes. The other header I did not attach because I could removed the header without taking the whole assembly off when I wanted to change the oil. Also, had to make a bracket to attach the muffler to the swinger arm. Also, I went up one size on the main jets. That was it. Ran and sounded fine.

    That blue with the stock decals makes it the best looking CB750 out there. I always wanted a Candy Gold k0 or k1 like the one my brother used to take me for rides on when I was 3. I recently bought a '73 in Maxim Brown Metallic and I'm not fond if the colour. I considered painting it Candy Gold, Flake Sunrise Orange or the Candy Red that came later, but this Blue is the one! I plan to just mask out the graphics even though they're not perfect, paint the blue, then clearcoat the whole thing. Cheers!

    I used to ride past a section of concrete wall on my way to work. I loved listening to the bike as I rode thru there. sometimes, I would even pull the clutch and give the throttle a couple blips. Same with underpasses.
    I think they both sounded good but those "pea shooters" just looked a little too "Jetsons" for my taste. If they sounded like the bike did with open exhaust ports, that would have completed the audio visual experience.

  • @krabkrabkrab
    @krabkrabkrab 2 роки тому

    Good thinking on the junction size. Since 4 cyl 4 stroke, there is ever only one power stroke at a time. That means the output pipe size needs be no larger than one of the header pipes. Further, that 4 into 2 was not proper engineering. Since firing order is 1243, the correct way is to pair 1 and 4 in one muffler and 2 and 3 in the other.

    Love the 'that's about right' geometry measurements! I never get bored of your vids dude, so pleased I found your channel. I can watch these vids for hours and not even in order... So far iv affixed a new subframe but can't afford any argon so still using flux core, what a mess! But I'll go over it at 120amps later lol... Just done the rear tank mount and about to start on the front, using a China cg125 tank so measurements are useless it's all by eye. I watch your tig welding so closely, one day I'll do another bike and will strive to match your quality 👌🏼 Thank you for the vids man. Your absolutely inspiring some of us.

    What a beauty. I am now looking for a project bike. They are hard to find. An 80's CB or a mid 90's CBR would be awesome. I love the exhaust setup too bad you got the last muffler.

    Hi, I went the other way, and changed from a 4 into 1 with a short muffler, to a 4 into 2 custom, because I found it didn't go as good, lacked even with rejetting.
    Hope all goes well.

      This definitely feels smoother and more powerful without any tuning even. That's only just seat of the pants of course. Power aside I simply prefer this look and sound

    Your cutting on the header reminded me of the Supertrapp I put on my CB700 Nighthawk S. (You probably saw it last year at one of the 4 Hands VBNs. It was the red and black one) Anyway, the only header I could find for it was an NOS Mac 4-into-1megaphone, but the baffle was awful, so I cut it off, notched the collector, had it ceramic coated, then cut the inlet pipe down on my my Supertrapp muffler and inserted it INSIDE the Mac collector and clamped it that way. I'm sure the flow wasn't the best, but it worked! 🤣
