What about Andy Dufrense from the Shawshank Redemption? That guy stool the wardens money, escaped jail, and changed his identity!
+Joe Bowen Frank Abagnale Junior .I know he is real but he still deserves a spot
+Joe Bowen or michael scofield from prison break
LmFao!!!!
+Andy Le Exactly.
Top 10 "Movie" Geniuses. Prison Break is a TV series.
like for DOC BROWN from BACK TO THE FUTURE
A Beautiful Mind - The Imitaion Game - The Theory of Everything
+lopfi lottfi All real people, pay attention.
and thouse three are real
+lopfi lottfi ...and that's why they're not included.
yes me too it wasn't that good but the acting was amazing, they were both nominated fo oscar and the actor won it.
+lumos nox This has nothting to do with how good a movie was where they are in. But than again, ToE is about a real life character, which does not count for this top 10.
Hannibal is an "honourable mention?" Dear God.
Right?!
He is a genius though, and my personal favorite movie villain.
doger riders Yeah, my point was he should be in the list. And high up.
Agreed
he was the number one on their smartest villain top10..
escaping genius: Andy Dufresne (the shawshank redemption)
Exactly what I was apprehending to read. Thank you, this man was truely genius. Creative, ambitious and had a head full of knowledge. He learn from one of the most intense experience that will ever occur in our human lifetime. A man of wisdom.
+Corey Archibald A man of wisdom .Yes.
You think that was good escaping watch silence of the lambs
One genius is missing...
DOC. EMMETT BROWN - Back To the Future
Hello?!?!
true!
i was 100% sure that would be here, i am not even a huge fan of the films and i realise he should be here
Hello
In the new video
coisasnatv pokemon
Where the hell is Russell Crowe for "A Beautiful Mind"?? They stole the Oscar from him.
Completely agree!
+tiffsaver They excluded movies about real people. Even though the rain man was based on a real person.
+sneider3
If you compare Beautiful Mind with Gladiator, your comparing apples and oranges, aren't you?
+tiffsaver Up front they said they were excluding all real people. This is only about fictional characters.
+Ubayla
To protect the "real people." How do you think Congress discovered that the top tobacco CEOs were lying before Congress when they swore on national TV that "Tobacco doesn't cause cancer"?? Because a corporate whistleblower who had in his possession the actual inter-office emails between tobacco scientists that tobacco, indeed, DOES cause cancer. Why do you think they were FORCED by Congress to place warnings on all tobacco products after the mid-sixties when this incident actually occurred??
Will Hunting for life.
YOU'RE SO DAMN RIGHT!
Will hunting all the way✌
just a mention?
Hannibal Lecter will eat any of these people alive in any competition
What about Matilda? She was so smart that she had telekinetic abilities.
Yesss
and Seven Pounds
Everyone is forgetting the character in the movie “Powder” and also John Travolta in “Phenomenon”.
One of my all-time favorite geniuses was John Travolta's character in the movie Phenomenon. The reason being that he was an ordinary guy, and when he gained his incredible mental powers, he was selfless enough to use them for the benefit of other people. It was an excellent movie, and one of Travolta's best.
A Beautiful Mind should have been on this list
but they said no real life virtuosos
Manuel Dussan ahh thank you, that explains that omission, just commented he should be on there, but you are correct, they did say that :)
V from V for Vendetta, linguistic genius , has spent years reading through thousands of poetry and old England plays and shows it through dialogue
That was based on true events, so it was excluded. .
Breonna Van Patten That's kind of like saying "Star Trek is based on true events because they talk about people from the past". No, V for Vendetta is not based on true events, it takes place in a dystopian future. Still, it's easy when making a top 10 to either forget things that would fit it, or exclude them based on personal oppinion.
Breonna Van Patten Set in the future based on true events.. No, sorry thats not right. Also i was born and raised in England, and none of that has ever happend. Guy Fawkes was a real life person yes, But apart from the mask, nothing else is based on true events at all/
DJreject101 That's what Parliament wants you to think. It all happened one weekend in 2004. The movie screwed up the timeline a little bit, but otherwise it was completely factual.
encycl07pedia DAMN! And being 2004 can't even blame it on the bastard Tory's! Damn sneaky bastards either way.
Problem with Hollywood is that they show geniuses as weirdos. Most of them are like regular people.
LOL no
vars28 exceptional smart people are quite weird ie they don't follow the traditional norm which is to them is either stupid or unnecessary
What about Forrest Gump?!!
hahaha wtf
Not a genius but very inspirational and special!
What about "A Beautiful Mind" or Robert Langdon in "The Da Vinci Code" and "Angels & Demons"? I think at least the former deserved an honorable mention
Ahh...right I had forgotten about that.
Marcin Patrzałek So, what about being based on a real person, such as rain man?
ParaditeRs Remember, based on would focus on that individuals life story, Kim Peek was an inspiration for the character.
I see what you mean, you're right. Rain man wasn't so much a biopic as simply using Kim Peak as a basis for the character.
yeah i agree with Luis. Robert Langdon shouldve atleast been in the top 5. He is a historical genius? does anyone have a better title xD
what about my wife ? She's a smart arse
You brave soul. May you rest in pieces.
shit , hope not .One of her kind is enough
How are you both still alive? How have you not felt the wrath of..."the females"
Cadokk Cook The females have obviously neglected to check the internet history... So far...
This man hasn't much time. RUN! RUN BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE!
A savant isn't a genius. A genius is someone who not only has knowledge but the maturity to understand how to use that knowledge to best of his/her ability. Being able to memorize does not make someone a genius.
***** If you want a good movie about a genius with powers. Phenomenon was so much better than Lucy.
I didn't think Lucy made a lot of sense. Just watch the cinema sins YT vid about lucy. It's insane how little thought was actually put into the film.
+I like how the letter 'b' in the word 'subtle' is subtle he can count too duh. Who says being able to memorize is not a genius?
+I like how the letter 'b' in the word 'subtle' is subtle someone with an IQ 140 and over is classified as a genius
*"When Einstein came up with the atmoic bomb."* That's one of the most incorrect things I have heard in a movie.
Criminal that Hannibal Lecter not in the top 10.
Top ten? He should have been number one!
Someone deserves a poison oak enema for this travesty.
How about the professor in "Back To The Future" trilogy? Isn't he genius and influenced character from Einstein?
Anyway, please doing TOP 10 SMARTEST/GENIUS SUPERHEROES! (Bruce Wayne, Tony Stark, Bruce Banner, Peter Parker, DR. Reed Richards, and so on)
Will Hunting is easily my favorite. But I am biased cause Good Will Hunting is my Favorite movie of all time!
Brennan Blanchette Why is it your favorite movie?
for me it feels so honest... i never think of it as a movie, it is really real. i feel like ppl watch it identify with will. emotional but u can see the motivations. it is also a story of potential not the actual genius
Brennan Blanchette "Applesauce bitch!"
Best movies on Real genious
The imitation game
A man who knew infinity
Goodwill hunting (except)
A beautiful mind
I think that Doc from Back to the Futur that invented TIME TRAVELLING THAT BREAK ALL RULES OF PHYSICS should be in top 3, as well as Sherlock Holmes.
Yeah, I definitely expected him to be number 1 (Doc, not Holmes).
feykroTV - seriously man he even not in honorable mention !!
Don't miss these other great Top 10's,
Top 10 Movie Jerks
Top 10 Movie Anti-Heroes
Top 10 Movie Idiots
Top 10 Buddy Cop Movies
Top ten most deadly swords please. (Real swords, not fictional)
poop
Similar to it can you make Top 10 list of animated genius character. There are too many to choose from like Dextar (Dextar's laboratory), MegaMind, Light Yagami a.k.a Kira (Death Note) etc....
I was expecting colonel Samantha carter from the stargate series to make this list since shes a badass genius
Knightikhan that would qualify under tv series, even if there were a couple of movies it'd still fit better as a series than a movie.
You can not assemble this list without John Nash. Mathematical genius who was presented as one of the best actors who even got an OSCAR in it.
A Beautiful Mind???
He is a real people dumb ass
They said at the beginning that no real life geniuses would be on this list, so that means no Beautiful Mind, Imitation Game, or Theory of Everything
Yeah! Max Cohen from Pi! Someone finally knows this movie!
About to say the same thing.
It's on my watchlist on IMDb.
I watched it and it was painful to watch. Extremely confusing and boring.
Heisenberg anyone?
Andy Dufresne from Shaw shank redemption, this man was truly genius. He was Creative, ambitious and had a head full of knowledge. He learn from some of the most intense life experience that will ever occur in our human lifetime. A man of wisdom. even if his body was prisoned in his cell... His mind was free, free because he had hope that one day he would get out of the prison he was trapped, to go somewhere his soul wanted to be. Don't be the person who hopes for something because you want it so badly but your mind is prisoned by the odds of failure. Be like Andy that didn't thought outside the box but... Thought like there was no box. The only limits to our intelligent human mind is the one we think are true, but are they really?
there's a difference between being knowledgeable and being a genius. anyone can learn things but the quickness in their learning is the difference between being just knowledgeable or being a knowledgeable genius!
The Imitation Game / Alan Turing should definitly be in this list
yes but they excluded all real-life geniuses
where the hell is the Jackass crew, they are genius
Nice list, but I think Doc Emmett Brown should be here in addition to Alexander Hartedgen. Was very happy to see Will Hunting here!
beautiful mind and the man who made infinity...
yeah...I've seen ....it's a greatest movie ever
@tony...u mean to say 'a man who "knew" infinity'
* 21 (2008)
* Cube (1997)
* Proof (2005)
* X+Y (2014)
well we know a movie about you wouldn't make this list
Also Stephen Hawkins the theory of everything
The Doc from Back to the future didn't make the list? o.O;
Where is Matilda?
back to the future - doc
The man who knew infinity
Why wasn't Matilda even in the honorable mentions?
While she is intelligent, she doesn't quite reach the abilities of others on this list.
@@jerryharrison870 but, u see, one can always make an exception ... u know. 😄😃😊☺
Doc Brown -- Back to the Future
Would have thought for sure that Nash(Russel Crowe) from A Beautiful Mind would be on this list.
Russell Crowe played a real-life virtuoso in that movie.
If they make a Part 2 for this, it MUST include *Christian Wolff (Ben Affleck) in "The Accountant" 2016 and Dexter (Kurt Russell) in "The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes" 1969.*
Enjoyed the list. It's been years since I last saw Pi, and now the nightmares will begin again...thanks a lot!
'Rainman' is based on a real person, named Kim Peek. This is even found on wikipedia... Doesn't take a genius to find that out.
It is BASED on a real person, but the movie doesn't follow Kim Peek's story. He was just inspiration for Rainman.
Was hoping for Dr. Emmett Brown, at least as an honorable mention.
Monk deserves an honorable mention. I know he's in a TV show, but he's a mind blowing genius when figuring out crimes!
Just one name..... Dr..Emett...Brown
August Rush (Evan Taylor) from August Rush. Musical genius.
And Ender from Enders Game! Strategic genius.
Wtf no Dr. Emmett L. 'Doc' Brown from Back To The Future! Needs at least a honorably mention
I was thinking the exact same thing! They skipped the Mad Scientist category!
love how you copy me
With "honorably mention", you may be excluded from any list of geniuses. ( Just messing with you, I realize that it was a typo and I do it all the time).
The numbers mason...what do they MEAN!!!
lol..
it's been almost a decade and I still don't get the "how do you like them apples" joke
+Krishna Venkat Çhaitanya
its a phrase..
It's a phrase and it means, how do you like me now?
@@justinpoplove4961 Whoever invented must have 'loved' apples so much.. i get it! 😄
A beautiful mind? Also, rain man was based on a real person, Kim Peak, who was an autistic savant. The movie really didn't do justice to just how incredible Kim Peak was. Personally, one of my favorite movies period, is good will hunting.
it was based off of 3 men, Kim Peak, Bill Sackter and another man. due to hippa i cant nor would i want to blast his name online but i did have the chance to work with him for over a year. very sweet guy and amazing to be around. truly a life changer.
Writing a 5,000 word paper is easy IF the subject is interesting and there are no distractions.
Good sir only 400 words for me is impossible :P
Improvise then :D
VensephFire92 your 5,000 word essay would have more filler than Naruto
VensephFire92 Don't not utilize quotes and double negatives.
Andy from Shawshank Redemption
Young Einstein, Doc emmet Brown, Wolfgan (the Explorers), The Ghostbusterguys (Ok not Winston, because he is only an emplye) (But Especial Egon Spengler), Q (James Bond), Zefram Cochrane, Montgomery Scott (Scotty), Dr Frankenstein,..... You missed real maaaany (More genius than the named ones :-) )
+XentorAntarix Yup, Doc Emmett Brown, i was thinking about him.
Ender Wiggin, military genius.
TOP 10 "POV" Horror Movies (like Cloverfield, Blair Witch Project, REC etc.)
Like found footage documentaries?
And why would you include Cloverfield on a top ten of anything?
They did one a while ago, I can't remember what the video was called though.
drunkpunkism Top 10 found footage movies, bud.
Gounakious dackious True that.
FingerAthLEET Cloverfield is awesome
Oh man, I never thought I'd see Pi in this list. Niiiiice!
The time machine 2002
Good will hunting
Imitation game
A beautiful mind
Ten teen tech geniuses
Home invention genius
Sherlock Holmes
Rain man
Silence of the lamb
Prestige
A beautiful mind movie mjhe ni mil rhi h bhai.
Hindi me chahiye
I could never figure out if he was just a bit mad or a genius; Captain Jack Sparrow.
Thoughts?
Can't have genius without a bit of madness.
I think we all go a little mad sometimes
Watching Pi was quite an experience. Aronofsky is a master at getting under his characters' skin, in Requiem even literally!
Bruce Banner? TONY FRIGGIN' STARK?!
it clearly says at the start of the video comics will be dis-cluded
W h o o p s
savage
+Cheeky Squirrel Nuts I don't know why you're getting so damn rude, dude. I made a mistake. Move on.
The word you're looking for there is "excluded".
I feel compelled to watch and play everything they've listed in every video. I don't know why, maybe it's just the way they present it that gets me. Their voices and clips just make them look so appealing.
Is there a Top 10 Saddest Movie Ending list?
Top ten movies that deserve a remake.
how about "A beautiful mind"? not even a honorable mention
Based on a real person - which in the blurb at the start this list doesn't include.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Forbes_Nash,_Jr.
Jay Amin yeah i consider him as real genius and he is also real person.
Good Will Hunting! Finally watched it the other night. Best movie ever
Cunkdoat It's my favorite movie of all time!!!!!! youre the homie
Interstellar best movie ever
The ending was shit though
I love Good Will Hunting! One of my favourite movies
Link please
Hannibal Lector is not to be honorably mentioned. He is to be number one or two. Don't do it again or you will become an entree'.
there was a real-life Rainman - Kim Peek. He died in Dec 2009
Where is "A Beautiful Mind" ??
Eugene Shmidt inside beautiful head
lol
I think they excluded it because it was based on a true story
I have😝😀😁😝
Political genius- Emperor Palpatine/Darth Sidous
Prof Nash from A Beautiful Mind.
They said they weren't doing any based on real people
Kevin Burke And yet they added Rain Man
sama31655 There is a difference though, raymond(rainman) isn't potraying the real kim peek, kim peek is only the inspiration used for the character in rainman. But russell crow is actually potraying the real professor nash in a beautiful mind.
Kevin Burke damn, I always skip the intros. whoops.
I love Will Hunting and Wayne Szalinski. Great list, many great geniuses from equally great movies.
Good Choice for Number 1 ;)
Special mentions should include 'Amadeus', and 'Searching for Bobby Fischer' at the least. No doubt. Pretty good start tho, I like it.
Emmet “doc” Brown back to the future not even an honorable mention, man created a time machine out a delorian
Egon from Ghostbusters
Doc From Back To The Future
Where is Tony Stark ????
Comic Book characters aren't allowed
The commentator at the start
Couple you forgot:
Tech Genius - Tony Stark
Manipulation Genius - Tyler Durden
Doc Brown, you left out Doc Brown, he only invented the Flux Capacitor and made time travel possible.......
Do 10 People who deserve a better death in games/movies/anime and stuff like the guy from world war z who tripped and shot himself please
yeah, that was just... sad :I
Hannibal should've been on the list as more than a HM.
I think you left one of the best movie with absolute geniusness ' A Beautiful Mind ' . A beautiful movie which will steal your heart with its direction based on the life of the great John Forbes Nash Jr. A Must Watch movie.
Real Genius... For weeks, possibly more than a month, I used to get stoned and watch that on Netflix while sketching down firearm designs. Ended up with a nice little SMG that has something like 30 parts in total. Also tinkered with some semi auto rifles, assault rifles, and magazine designs, but never really got into those.
John Nash. Beautiful Mind?
they should have included Matilda on the list
atleast an an honorable mention: heist genius Dalton Russell from Inside Man.
"we decided to exclude comic book characters..." Damn! That's mean no Tony Stark in that list :(
Ikr
I was going to comment that he was obviously on here before watching this but then I heard her say that.
Dang I wish Comics counted, Tony Stark would be number 1.
Forgot "Flubber"
A beautiful mind (2001) character ''Jahn Nash'' Played by russell crowe
This is probably the first time in my life that I have ever written a comment on a UA-cam video.
The fact that the guy from “Pi” was your number one genius…
Well done.
i guess these guys never saw a Beautiful Mind
***** You can't just say "That Movie"
It started by saying it wouldn't list "real life virtuosos" genius.
***** "Rain Man" was also based on a true story, so why is that on the list? Also, what about Jason Bourne?
FatBox It was not based on a true story. Kim Peek was an inspiration to the movie, but the movie in itself is fictional
Matilda
I think Dr Henry Wu deserves at least an honourable mention
Didn't Tony Stark create an imaginary element from magically deducing the concept from his dad's old Utopia model? I would've thought he would have at least made the Honorable Mentions list...
***** We decided to exclude comic book characters, deez!
What about russell crowe in A beautiful mind?
Was just about to write this! And the guy from the blackjack film.
I thought so too, initially..
But at the beginning of the video, she clarifies " We have decided to exclude comic book characters and real life virtuosos "
Russel Crowe played John Nash. It's a real life story...
Sherlock Holmes should be a lot higher...I'm not saying he has to be #1, but definetily in the top 3
Teen teck geniuses
Home invention genius
Time traveling genius
Literary genius
Logical reasoning genius
Good time genius
Low key genius
Savant genius
Child genius
Hannibal lecter
Jean-Baptiste Grenouille from the movie "Perfume: The Story of a Murderer"
