- This video is the 3rd Episode of European and Asian Old Postage Stamps. Stamps from Switzerland, Korea, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Monaco, Peru, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Vatican City, Uruguay, Italy etc. are described briefly. Stamp collecting is a great hobby. Collectors all over the world trade philatelic items at different auctions and exhibitions. Condition of a stamp greatly effect its value. Postage stamps are made of delicate paper and with time these are prone to damage. Therefore it is very important to protect stamp collection from atmospheric hazards. Environmental conditions such as humidity, sunlight and high temperature can affect your stamps. Excessive humidity causes mold growth on gum. All stamps presented in this video are in very fine condition. Both used and unused examples are discussed. These stamps were carefully examined and estimated by expert philatelists at auctions. Values mentioned in this video are only for the particular stamp shown adjacent to text.
Disclaimer : This video is only for education and information. It should NOT be used to asses the value and condition of your stamp collection. Please always consult expert philatelists, stamp dealers, or standard stamp catalogues for evaluation of your stamps.
