Neelum aur Muzaffarabad dono Kashmir valley ke nahi, Kashmir division ke part thei. Vahaan Hindko/Pahari hamesha se boli jati thi. Angrezon ne inhe Kashmir division mai add kiya tha. Par in dono districts meh badi tadaat meh Kashmiris bhi settled thei aur partition ke waqt kafi saare aur move kar gaye. Kashmiris are settled in other parts of Jammu like Poonch, Rajouri, Kishtwar, Doda, Ramban, etc. as well, which is why plenty of people in these areas speak Koshur as well.

Language sounds just like Punjabi, but people look different. I don't get it!! DO you guys have the same tribes/ castes/ clans as Punjabis? e.g. Jatt, Khatri, Arora, Rajput, Gujjar etc.
@Malik Magrey Interestingly, they look more like Hrithik Roshan than they do Kashmiri. Your comment is also a possibility, but perhaps all these mountain people are of a different stock i.e. Paharis, but they ended up speaking the dominant language in the region. To me, it sounds like Hindko and Mirpuri are just variants of Punjabi.

As a Punjabi, I can totally understand this. I don't know why they classify Hindko as a separate language, it's really just a dialect of Punjabi.
They don't bro, it's all part of the punjabi universe
Hind means subcontinent Ko means mountain. Hindko means the mountainous language of the subcontinent.
@@mehranbinzafar4523 Hind refers to Indus. The Hindu kush mountains were the Arabic reference for the natural boundary that you'd cross to get into the land of the Indus valley people, whom they called Indus or Hindus.
Because they are punjabi ethnically. They just speak this language.
@@thejattlord This is Pahari Hindko, which is pretty close to Punjabi. Hazarewal Hindko and Peshawari Hindko are very different compared to this.

Yes we do bro, same tribes and all. Some want to be wannabe pathans but they really aren't. Loss of identity lol

Maybe not Khatri, Arora and Jats. The castes which could be found are probably Rajputs, Gujjars, Sudhans and Awans.
