"Do robots just like not make any errors?" She has seen the UA-cam algorithm right?
True
Of course she hasn’t. Favourite much?
That isn't a robot error, the robot is doing exactly what it's told.
If it's an error at all, it's a programmer error, but we all know there is no error. UA-cam is living it's best life
If you tell a robot to find all the faces in a picture, but forget to tell it the mouth is below the eyes, that robot is gonna come back with some dog shit and it will be exactly the dog shit you ordered it to give you, no matter how disappointed you feel
Blueygooey Gooeybluey also True
The reasons its called Human errors and not errors is that robots don’t make them. Usually human errors is used in situations where for example a plane crashes and you have to determine if its a technical failiure or a human error.

Poki: robot error
Me: THAT IS LITERALLY FAULTY CODE
@Kitszunai though arguably errors by self learning AI are still the programmers' fault since they taught it the learning process. They're still 100% incapable of thought, unlike children for example, whose fault it really is when they make mistakes
If a robot had an error it was actually a human error in the code
@@PolrisTired I disagree. Using current methods, it's basically impossible to reach 100% accuracy on any non-trivial dataset. That's not human error. Would you say it's human error that we can't get to Mars? Or that we can't Time Travel? Human error in Machine Learning comes from not accounting for robustness, introduced biases, improper data engineering/feature selection, etc. You can do everything 100% right and still end up with a few wrong answers, but human error only comes into play when you don't do everything 100% right.
another form of "robot error" is backlash in gearboxes, millimetre precision instead of micrometre, thermal expansion, bending, work-hardening, etc.

Answer for pokis "do robots make errors" question:
Answer: No, any error a robot makes is inherently a human error. Robots do exactly what they're told, and if they can't do it, it's because the human didn't properly code/build it. If they don't do what they're told, it's because of an error caused by a human. For example, if a robot is moving a box and the wind blows it over, that's human error, because the human didn't account for wind when programming/building said robot (its never the robots fault, its always the humans fault 100% of the time).
True. any robot error is caused by human bias or error. Robots themselves can never actually make a mistake because they always do what their creators want them to.
Thank you
Big brain
That gets a bit more complicated when you talk about machine learning. Like for instance a bot designed to locate what it believes to be pictures of the picture "3". If it misidentifies a picture, its definition of what a "3" is is incorrect. This is where reinforced learning comes in
Unless you're talking about true AI, at which point....I guess we don't know yet?
"You need a computer to program a computer for the computer to be perfect."
You've hit the nail on the head lol. That's EXACTLY how general adversarial machine learning works.

Jesus christ I lost 2 brain cells when she tried to explain robots... Does she now know about sensors? XD
They breath air hahahaha
She means in general not that specific circumstance. Like she said "there are obvious solutions for these issues that they program", so the question she's really asking is how perfect can a robot be under human creation? Which yeah is a very common question, ya know? There's many theories on it!
@@Sagacypher Robots can't make mistakes since humans are the ones that programmed them. Robots only do what they're programmed to do. Just like in Poki's example scenario, there's wind accounted for when the robot is lifting those boxes, it's the human/s that creates the robot that made a mistake since they didn't consider the wind when they programmed the robot.
Credits to the guy's above comment that I saw. I just said his explanation.
I love Poki's laugh it's the best thing I've heard all day
Omg this is one of my new favorite videos.
If the robot isn’t programmed to account for wind, that is not robot error Poki. That is human error for not coding appropriately. The robot does exactly what it is programmed to do, every single time.

Congrats Poki on 300k subs woho ❤️
Michael is really good at doing perfectly cut moments, his comedy is all gold
Robots are only as smart as the person who coded/built them.
Yes and
Depends on your definition of smart.
Robots can far exceed their creators in some areas and yet they'll never be able to do what humans can in other areas. (Not from what we can tell.)
I'm not referring to physical human capabilities--mental ones.
So in some ways they're already wayyy smarter than humans and in other ways they'll never replicate what we can do.
Computer Chess: n o
Nathan Amiri: This is true but, if a computer/ robot was to learn from its own mistakes, it would only be possible if the code allowed it to be; set by the creator.
@@JakeAtlantis Kind of? But that's a bit like saying that humans aren't really smart because we're only capable of learning due to our brain structure. Yes, humans code the structure of neural networks, but after that they truly do learn on their own and make their own mistakes that aren't caused by their code.
4:00 "You need a computer to program a computer for a computer to be perfect."
Yes, that's what makes AI so revolutionary. We figured out a way to use computers to program computers.
I hope ur safe 🙏 poki much love stay connected 💗
This is so transformative -_-
Haven't watched that far in yet but here's an answer:
No, robots cannot make errors. There is only stuff that isn't yet programmed. Robots do what they are programmed to do perfectly 100% of the time. If there's a mistake, it's because there is an error in it's code, which is the job of the human, not the robot. Thus, the only robot errors are from human errors.
That is only true until we consider self learning robots at that point robots can make mistakes on its own accord
there are also mechanical errors but 90% of the things u said are still correct
Thanks, I was about to write this
Not true. Machine learning systems are the main type of AI these days, and they learn how to do their job on their own, they're not driven by pre-determined code. If they mess up, it could be because of a poorly coded neural network, but it could also be because of bad training data or a failure to learn perfectly. Both bad data and a failure to learn perfectly are exactly how humans make mistakes, too.
“Just replace me with a robot person” -poki. A bit of foreshadowing 🤔
Congratulations with 300k subs on your second youtube channel

Technically the people who make the robot make the errors there comes the phrase trial and error.
I think
Robot-error would just be human-error. Humans program the robots.
Not necessarily. The vast majority of AI these days are machine learning systems, where the computer learns on its own. The human programming just gives it the capacity to learn, but what it actually does and what it learns to do is not controlled by anything the humans coded.
@@IceMetalPunk Exactly. That's why with some programs you cannot tell how they work. E.g the youtube algorithm.
@@xyzcyber4825 Yep. We can see all the many weights and biases the system ends up with, but we have no idea what any of the weights means. All we know is that when you connect all these weights together, it does the thing we want it to do.

If it’s not directly human error, it’s indirectly human error, aka “I forgot X could happen” or “ah, the 0.01% chance of a problem happening just happened”
robot does errors and yes it is very rare to happen if a program failed to execute like your pc for example if one fails it wouldnt work but then it restarts it till the program executes successfully
I was watching this live I was laughing the whole time XD
7:33 when simps see pokimane irl
When a robot makes a “robot error” it is a human error as in the ones who manufactured the thing and coded it. The reason it is that way is because we humans define what is an error, the robot does not care if what it is doing is correct or not, it just follows it’s coding. There is only error if there was an intention that failed. Robots don’t have intentions and thus can not fail, only the coders and manufacturers carry intention. If we one day makes a robot that has true intention which would require a self reflecting willpower (ie the moment robots does stuff we did not intend for them to do but still done intentionally by the robot) then there would probably be robot mistakes but at that point it be hard to call that a robot instead of an artificial life form
Fuck, now I'm thinking of Detroit Become Human

Micheal reeves is the funniest person on yt
Robot errors can come from hardware too, could be as simple as a lack of rounding precision for example.
If robots have errors, it’s because of the error of their creator.
No. Machine learning systems learn on their own, they're not just executing human-coded instructions; so they can make mistakes that aren't human error.

In terms of coding, ehhhh. Its set variables and parameters. Unless you have an input outside the parameter, it wont get it wrong
A bug can result in a error

lots of robot errors occur, though they're designed to pretty much eliminate human error. i mean like first of all human error, could be bugs in the code or situations that weren't planned for. then there's miscalibration of the robot or just insufficiently developed ai for things like image recognition.
then there's things like single effect events that literally are just particles flipping bits and the bird at your robot.
