Wow! That is how a cover lesson should be taught. The combination of providing the tablature with video, and alternating slow and fast speed, was brilliant. Even the Big hitters like Marty schwartz (who l admire), next level guitar and others have not realized how what a powerful tool combining tab with video is. Thanks for the great lesson!
Robert C YES! And with the 3 dot UA-cam drop down menu, you can slow it further to -0.50 MORE. Repeating it extremely slow helps with the finger technique and memorizing each nuance.
Learned this song because I thought it was cool but never knew I was going to sing and play it to my crush who likes me back. Thank you for teaching me this song and thank you for everything else to come because of this one song.
I've been learning this solo for the past 5 years from different UA-camrs but yours remained in my head the most coz of the Clapton tone..your skull and crossbone fretboard and the excellent tabs..I gave up a couple of years ago but with an "old boys re-union gig coming up in 2019 and this is a must do number I went straight to you Adam S and from what was still in my memory bank..and now after a couple of hours of running thru with you again it's finally "sunk in"..Now to get the proper tone..phrasing..timing and lots of practice..Someone on here commented that Eric Clapton was drunk on this solo..Maybe on our gig night I should emulate (get drunk) and either sound like "God" or get laughed of stage ha ha..cheers from the Land Down Under
You can tell actually, I feel like this solo was always playing it safe and pretty simple. Honestly I feel as if it's not that great, although it is good.
Hola amigo, muchas gracias por todos tus videos, son de gran ayuda además de muy buenos. Podrías poner una lección sobre "Still Got The Blues" de Gary Moore? Muchas gracias. Saludos!!!
Ty so very fucking much! Edit: I had to practice the solo for 3 weeks to get it down. I'm sure the are some who can play it right away and some who can't play it at all. I have some tips, you can use UA-cam tools to make it happen! You can slow down the video or speed it up. The slow part I did speed it up to 1.25% and it was easy to follow
@1234TheKing123411 Cool thanks, I'll try that. I assume that when maj7th chords are played on 6 strings, the same thing has to be done with one of the strings.... if I remember correctly.
I could be wrong but what he's playing and what the tab says on the 2nd part.that you play 5x seems wrong? he's doing a avibrato at the end It looks to be the G or B string? not that 10th fret on the low e string as the tab shows? (Help a brother out what am I seeing wrong)
great utorial, however could i get the tab? because the link that you put up has been taken down and cant be downloaded any longer a little help here please??
how do u get legit sig models because i ordered a zack wylde vertigo sig model and when it arived it was shit nothing like my friend how ordered the exact same site
Compa.... pudes agarrar cualquier tabs en ultimateguitar . com. Que tienes buen suerte, hombre. (Bro, you can get whatever tab you want at Ultimateguitar . com. Good luck, man).
Thanks for the effort but your vibrato is very busy and buzzy. Its interesting to see how difficult it is for anyone to duplicate the sound and feel of this "simple" solo.
This is the best vid I could find but solo is still too confusing for me... Not the vids fault, Im sure that I am just out of my league... Kinda disappointing, this is one of my fav solos but still great job.
I must say, I scanned about 10 other sites for this lessons, good sites, but yours is the best overall tutorial - HANDS DOWN! THANKS!

Once again you are raising the bar on how lessons should be done! :)

best tutorial for the solo on youtube so far.
Wow I have been looking everywhere for a good tutorial!
Learned this song because I thought it was cool but never knew I was going to sing and play it to my crush who likes me back. Thank you for teaching me this song and thank you for everything else to come because of this one song.
Easy and kickass song, it took me like an hour to learn it even the solo. Awesome tutorial, thanks a lot.
This tutorial is the best!! It helped me a ton and now I can play this great song but not as good as you did! Thanks and keep up the good work!
I like your style. Like the guitar, too.

It's getting near dawn
When lights close their tired eyes
I'll soon be with you my love
Give you my dawn surprise
I'll be with you darling soon
I'll be with you when the stars start falling
I've been waiting so long
To be where I'm going
In the sunshine of your love
I'm with you my love
The light's shining through on you
Yes, I'm with you my love
It's the morning and just we two
I'll stay with you darling now
I'll stay with you 'til my seas are dried up
I've been waiting so long
To be where I'm going
In the sunshine of your love

I've been waiting so long

Great lesson Adam, thank you so much.
Awesome tutorial! Thank you❤
This has to be Eric Clapton in disguise. You fantastic Adam. Thanks for these videos.
Best breakdown lesson I've seen !!!....Mucho Gusto !!
Fantastic video just what i was looking for . Thank you
This version looks correct. The D and C chords at the beginning sound right since it has the third in it but is muting the root octave.
Eric Clapton was drunk in this solo!
Vincenzo Convenga thats no true.He used LSD
He used many drugs, from marijuana to alcohol, heroin, cocaine, you name it
You can tell actually, I feel like this solo was always playing it safe and pretty simple. Honestly I feel as if it's not that great, although it is good.

Beautiful!
Illuminating 👏
@1091Floyd21 what I do is I take the remainder of my ring finger which is on the A string and have it touching the d string so that it is muted.
Adam ,where did u go?
i got a minute and 30 seconds into the song already, i don't need luck because i'm good at it lol.
Anyone can play the main riff. Hardly anyone can play the solo.....thanks, nice tutorial

@1234TheKing123411 Cool thanks, I'll try that.

nice, you play really well, but what effect are you using on the amp?
This is all good..but no mention of the slight....maybe less than 1/4 bends / blues licks that give this riff its tasty feel
I could be wrong but what he's playing and what the tab says on the 2nd part.that you play 5x seems wrong? he's doing a avibrato at the end It looks to be the G or B string? not that 10th fret on the low e string as the tab shows? (Help a brother out what am I seeing wrong)
Are you using the crunch efect? Great tutorial ;)
