- About the Stryker - Armored Fighting Vehicle:
The Stryker family of armored vehicles consists of lightly armored eight-wheeled carriers that can be fitted with several different attachments. Among the variants, the M1126 ICV acts as a primary personnel carrier, capable of deploying nine soldiers and accommodating a crew of two. The M1126 may be equipped with either an M2HB machine gun or an MK19 grenade launcher for defensive fire. Other variants of the Stryker include the M1127 Reconnaissance Vehicle, M1128 Mobile Gun System, M1129 Mortar Carrier, and M1130 Command Vehicle. The Stryker first entered service in Kuwait in November 2002 and saw combat during the US-led Iraq War of 2003.

My father was one of the engineers that actually helped design the Stryker tank! I had him check out pictures of your set, and he says it’s extremely accurate! In fact, his job was to design the automatic loading system for the “cannon” (I forget which cannon it was) variant, and he said the way the add on pack cannon was built, even shows the loading system he designed! They could fire up to 6 shells a minute, before reloading, which was extremely easy and fast.

I feel uniquely qualified to comment on this kit, since I served in a Stryker Brigade Combat Team. (SBCT). The Stryker comes in multiple variants, including ones not shown in this video. I operated an M1135 NBCRV which is a Nuclear, Biological, Chemical Reconnaissance Vehicle. It allows Brigade Commanders to survey, detect and cordon off areas of the battlefield contaminated by chemical, biological or nuclear weapons. M1128 MGSs were attached to infantry battalions and operated by tankers (19K MOS) to provide fire support, kind of like how StuGs were in WWII. (Even though they were assault artillery). The TOW carrier belonged to a standalone (organic) infantry company that gave Brigade Commanders incredible tank killing power. The command variant was issued to Battalion commanders and BDE (Brigade) Commanders. There is also an Engineer variant that can tow what is called a MCLC or mine clearing linear charge. It also has small flag holders on the back of the vehicle to drop to mark off a clear lane in a minefield. There is a medic variant too.
The last variant is the Scout one. (Can't remember the nomenclature). It has an LRAS3 ("El-raz"), or Long range advanced scout surveillance system, which allows US Army Cavalry Scouts to see incredible distances on the battlefield, allowing recon from safe distances.
Strykers are armored to withstand 14.5mm machine gun fire and light shrapnel from artillery, but can be retrofitted with additional armor that allows them to withstand light cannon fire and slat/cage armor to protect from shaped charges.
Strykers are the ultimate Swiss Army knife for the US Army, since an SBCT has all of the tools it needs available to it within the brigade, without having to outsource to neighboring units for support.

They keep the back hatch open for the mortar because if they’re not using a LHMBC they will be using aiming stakes. Stakes they physically put out to aim with and reference to.

I currently serve in a Stryker Brigade as a 91S or Stryker Systems Maintainer. I was thinking if y’all would ever do a Stryker build after I watched the Abrams video and I am very pleased with your design and I really enjoy seeing the add on kits. Keep up the good work.

Can you also do a similar approach to a M113 remaked evacuation colors, like have modules for the AA, IFV, and Missile Carrier. Plus you could even do a specialized version that is done up in the NASA firefighting color scheme for the space race line

9:57 That’s actually a really big problem with the recoil system. The Stryker MGS has had a lot of problems with its turrets, and can only carry 18 rounds.
Any reloading, repairs, or clearance of stoppages could only be performed by exposed personnel standing atop the vehicle. The autoloader suffered frequent jams and stoppages.

I really wish this was still in stock :( . I have heard that the new Stryker is very hard to build and is not very sturdy, this is also cheaper, and I like having a cheaper main build with optional add-ons.

I work currently in a styker brigade team, and have 2 mortar vehicles, do they point to the rear? Im a 50 gunner in my vehicle and dont deal with the mortar ones

I know how you feel. I tried to make a Stryker a good as john's once and it ended up having 1 more hatch than his and I sacrificed the steering for interior space. I tried to convince myself that I didn't need his Stryker but mine wasn't as good. All I need are some minifigures BUT THEY'RE F*CKING 40 DOLLARS EACH. you have the same problem I do lol
Nicholas Rensi yeah, just because they are custom figures and builds doesn't mean that they need to be this frickin expensive, I mean seriously a vehicle of this size looks like it would be at least 30-40 bucks because I'm used to buying actual Lego sets. I'm not here to hate on these guys, I honestly love what they do but damn those prices are frickin expensive. Seriously $190 could get me this set, or a whole frickin PS4 it's that much!
