Nags Head is a beach town on North Carolina's Outer Banks. It’s known for the towering sand dunes in Jockey's Ridge State Park. Displays on local flora and fauna dot the park's boardwalk. Paths through Nags Head Woods Preserve include Roanoke Trail, leading through salt marsh and forest to a quiet beach. South, the top of 1870s Bodie Island Lighthouse offers sweeping views of Cape Hatteras National Seashore.

Nag’s Head background: It was so named, according to legend, because unscrupulous shipwreckers tied lanterns to the necks of ponies (“nags”) and marched them along the high dunes to simulate the lights of boats at anchor-a ruse that tricked captains into running their ships aground on the shoals, where their cargo was seized. Very cool!😊

I been going to this place since June of 2014 I go in May
I just looked at the home prices in Nags Head. That's so cheap (I'm from SoCal, my financial view is very skewed) for basically beach front. Too bad the weather is not outdoor activities friendly all year around
No one sandboards on jockeys ridge.
There are no nags Head dolphin tours.
It’s pronounced BODY Island
Boatie Island.
You definitely haven’t been to the outer banks.
I love these former British colonial settlements.
