Sir don't mind, you have made mistakes in regard of following proposed by Gao in 1996:𝑁𝐷𝑊𝐼 =𝑁𝐼𝑅 −𝑆𝑊𝐼𝑅1/𝑁𝐼𝑅 +𝑆𝑊𝐼𝑅1 by McFeeters (1996): 𝑀𝑁𝐷𝑊𝐼 =𝐺𝑅𝐸𝐸𝑁−𝑁𝐼𝑅/𝐺𝑅𝐸𝐸𝑁+𝑁𝐼𝑅 But ultimately it is an excellent tutorial which help me a lot and it would be better if you upload video for Enhanced Built-Up and Bareness Index (EBBI) and Enhanced Vegetation Index (EVI)....... Thank you so much
Thanks for the lecture...I have a problem with NDVI, the value goes to 1.5, what do you think the problem iss? I have checked the formula several times
Thanks for the great explanation We want to calculate Vegetation Health Index (VHI) . Vegetation Drought Index (VDI) .3 Visible and Shortwave infrared Drought Index (VSDI) Temperature-Vegetation Dryness Index (TVDI)
Please is there any way to calculate the surface of the positive and negative value of NDVI/NDWI? In order to evaluate the change of vegetation and water over time?
@@Fitsum_Teshome Suppose that I've calculate the NDVI as you've mentioned and I get values that range from -0.6 to 0.8. I wanna know what is the surface area of the regions that have values 0. One solution that we have here is to digitize the region that have positive values of NDVI and so on ( so we can get the surface area of the concerned regions). But, this solution is not suitable when we have large area. So, I ask you if there is any other solution for that ... Thanks in advance
Sta Env I think you can use conditional (con) in map algebra (ArcMap). For instance, as you mentioned if you want to classify the NDVI raster to positive and negative value classes, execute conditional in map algebra. E.g. if NDVI < 0 assign 1(water) and if NDVI > 0 assign 2(vegetation) and the following video may help you to know how to execute condtional function in ArcMap: m.ua-cam.com/video/up2-4vf2n4w/v-deo.html But dont generalize that NDVI < 0 is water and NDVI>0 is vegetation, you need to do ground base analysis to know the NDVI value range for water and vegetation.
am proud by having great man like you Fitse!! Please How we can run Indies using Hyperion Image.
wonderful video, it was really helpful in doing my project.

donot criticize before, start from positive and then say what you need to suggest

excellent tutorial which helped me a lot
Your video is the best. Please make more
Thanks for the great explanation
We want to calculate
Vegetation Health Index (VHI) .
Vegetation Drought Index (VDI)
.3 Visible and Shortwave infrared Drought Index (VSDI)
Temperature-Vegetation Dryness Index (TVDI)
Thank you.
Thank You
Please, make this tutorial on sentinel-2A data set for same indices correcting TOA correction using Arcgis. It will be a great help
EXCELLENT TUTORIAL BRO!
Thanks a lot..I want to ask how to calculate BSI from sentinel images ...Can you please guide me.. Thank you
Excellent tutorial but I have a question about how to apply the BAI in ArcMap, please
Sir, Please upload this doc file . I need it. Your videos are amazing
Is it must to do atmospheric correction before the calculation of all the indices?
can you do a tutorial regarding mapping Chl-A distribution in ocean
Please is there any way to calculate the surface of the positive and negative value of NDVI/NDWI? In order to evaluate the change of vegetation and water over time?
I am not clear with your question
Can you elaborate it more

Whe you calculate the cos(ThetaSZ) the calculator is in degrees.
Sir, Please upload this doc file . I need it. It's great vedio

i need help please how can i calculate solar radiation for landsat bands i need the equation or link to equation
This is so good video. Can I get a word file in this video?
Thank you, don't forget to subscribe.
where ca i find this document file,
Hi, can you download the lecture file and thank you
we do the same steps while using landsat 5 Bands ?
@tech-tutor with fitsum Hey can you send me the word file with all formula :) :)
hi sir, could you upload the landsat 8 indices.doc ?
ok I will
@@Fitsum_Teshome thank you so much
I also need that doc.
