No matter how much you dislike Stefan, you can't not respect him. He is indeed one of the best characters built in the storyline of The Vampire Diaries. We can learn a lot from such genuine character. Our humanity is what makes us who we are. If we've lost it, we are nothing. Massive respect for Paul Wesley for perfectly visualizing a charecter like Stefan.

Looking back now that the whole show has ended, i feel his character makes the most sense & has a better arc than the others. For me they seriously messed the storyline by the end and the characters became very one dimensional. Like they didn't really give Damon or Katherine a proper redemption.
@@DEE-305 they went all over the place around season 5, it's like they couldn't figure out what to do. Not letting Kat redeem herself was crazy. And they done stefan so dirty 😭

True. Although when I first watched the show I was kinda rooting for Delena but after a while it just became so clear that their relationship was toxic/ codependent whereas the Stelena relationship always seemed more pure/ healthy if that makes sense..

The most dramatic thing is that he did not choose to be a ripper. It was his DNA, his mother was a ripper too. Damon chose to be the monster he has been for centuries. Stefan did not and he had to fight this till the end of his days. The pain, the remorse, the temptation. That's why Stefan is the better man and the best character on the show. He made the show.
Yet inspite of Lily And Stefan knowing they had Ripper problems still when they had all there senses and pros and wits and highs with them they still made the conscious choice to be around Humans despite knowing the danger they could pose at any moment to them instead of staying somewhere humanless where they could feed on Non Human Animals and Vampires since they had full control when drinking from Non Humanoids yeah.

Stefan is, without a doubt, the best character in TVD and this video perfectly shows the many different sides and shades of him. It perfectly radiates his every battle and victory, his every sacrifice and act of compassion and above all his humanity. Stefan deep down wanted to be a good person in many ways sure but his heart was never pure not even as a Human but as a Human for the most part he was good then again the same could be said about his Brother

Damon is THE good brother and Stefan is THE bad brother because he is A ripper
Damon chose to be that way.. stefan did not have a choice. It was in is DNA and he fighted it all these years and barely made it through. Damon only tortured him making it bad enough for him, stefan went to save his ass to get a cure from Klaus only to lose himself in the process and what does damon do? He goes on flirting with his girl once he is out of the picture. He has raped caroline. Killed tons of people and didn't feel any remorse even with his humanity on. Stefan actually feels guilty. He never chose to be this way and everyday he tried to CHANGE. That's the difference. Damon just accepted that he's a monster and at first wasn't willing to change.
