Yeah. The insurance and maintenance gotta be at at least half the price of the car. Better off sticking off to a sleeper type car so you don’t have to pay a bunch in insurance.
GTR isn’t reliable OR practical, plastic interior, and VERY mid sports car. A corvette would be a better option, cause at least you get an interior which isn’t all plastic.
Eventually, I'll own a R35 GTR. The dream is the R34, but by the time they're legal here in the states, the prices will be so inflated, I probably could land a used NISMO R35 for less and have it be a practical choice by comparison, lol. The Audi R8 comes in a VERY CLOSE 2nd for me. They're bloody gorgeous, and sound PHENOMENAL. Plus, the tuning potential for those is just outlandish these days! Truth is though, I'm JDM 1st. I mean, I already landed what I refer to as the "realistic dream car" in my 2015 WRX STi. Practicality met fun and this is one of their offspring 😂. A 4 door sedan that's AWD, turbocharged, and 6 speed manual. Such a blast to drive!
The Factory Five deserves more love. It's cheap, easy to work on, designed for racing yet comfortable on the road, and the company that makes them encourages modifications.
I would take the GT-R R35 only if it had a factory manual transmission. But if I bought it, I probably manual sequential swap it as long as I have enough money for it. Also Brad why did you sell your Audi R8 again? I forgot about that.
The only one I would probably go for on this list is gtr, the r8 is my dream car but Hella expensive parts and maintenance and I wouldn't go near that McLaren with a 10 ft pole
Exactly. This guy said, "wouldn't you rather have a $90k McLaren with F1 technology versus a NEW top trim Jeep?" As if I'd want a used car that has deferred maintenance with eye wateringly expensive F1 parts 😅. C'mon man...
I was messing around with a BMW i8 on the highway one day and was impressed UNTIL the battery power was exhausted, which was not very long. Then it was an absolute DOG with just the gas motor for power. That was back in 2018 so maybe the range is better on the new ones. This was with my FBO Q50. I have played with the big boys with my GTR (800+ WHP) and find it quicker than most "Super Cars", but over 175 MPH they may have an advantage. I redline at 190+ish so they probably are "Faster", if you can find a place where you can go that fast.
@@MeAndCarKeys I meant to say that the V6 and turbo 4 cylinder F type is more of a sports car due to the low amount of hp but F type R is due to the high hp.
It's not supercar enough. And no, it likely can't hang with any car on this list in terms of handling because it oversteer a more than a freaking hellcat. It has decent power though. Usually for it to be called a supercar, it needs to have the looks, performance or both. The Jag looks extremely good but it doesn't look supercar, and neither does the C6 Z06 nor GTR R35, but at least the GTR and Z06 makes up for it by being extremely capable on track.
As for the price point, Gen 1-4 falls in under 100k very easily. Normally in line between a used GT-R and C-5 Vette 40k-60k. As for a car that demands the respect of the driver, you are right, it will make you pay if you don't treat it right. But if you are a skilled driver, this is a great BUDGET Supercar for Broke Boys. Unless you are solely looking at the Gen 5, your statement would be true.

Take the GTR, bro. Reliable, affordable, practical, rocket acceleration and insane potential.
Not with the Nissan reliability 😂
Not practical exactly but ok
Gtr reliable lol

5th gen camaro zl1 they go for around 25k on autotrader. 550 hp mag ride suspension I think its a good deal
Great performance car, but a bit too muscle and not quite super (although close!)

This is the best list and info by far made me subscribe. Thanks.
Z06, GTR, Gallardo
The only correct way. And honorable mention would be R8
I went for a ride in an r8 at a car show near where I live back in July of 2021.
Oh! Em! Freakin! Gee! What! A! Ride! And! Experience! That! Was!
It had tinted taillights, gold rims, a blue front and a black rear, and your typical interior for a first-gen style.
Gtr for me. It's just special 😊
GTR and R8 for sure
GTR for me!
My list for 7 days a week!
Id take a Lotus Evora for best bang for a buck.
I stared wit a g35 coupe an now a sti..my next car is definitely gunna be a gtr before then a Porsche 😩🔥🔥🔥
Thanks again Brad

Lol at them being cheap. You have to be rich in order to find them cheap
My personal fav, , any American muscle, Skyline GTR, , which can eat supercar for dinner 😜 😎
Why is the Jaguar F-Type R never mentioned?? 🤔
The F type is a sports car not a supercar.
@@Buffering...Loading... WHAT?! What’s holding it back from being a Supercar? The F-Type R can probably hang with any car on this list from the line!

Im about to build a Gran Turismo Garage
We have many iterations of movie and TV Godzillas. Many iterations of GT-R can be Godzilla too.
I have a 2016 Honda civic coupe and I hate it! It feels heavy and slow. I’m looking for something light and fast! Got any suggestions under 10k?
G37 or Pontiac solstice , or 1998 Porsche boxster
Aston Martin V8 vantage
This guys main fan base is for sure asian car bros.
we have a Lambo police here in Panama too
He mentioned the Vette but not the Viper?
Vipers are expensive as fuck, and the ones that are on the cheaper end can't compete with anything on this list without wrapping itself around a tree

talk about VINFAST and INEOS grenadier
Porsche 997.2 Turbo S. 0-60 in 2.6, 200 MPH, and it’s around the same level as the M5 CS. All of this for barely a hundred grand or even less.
