For the same reason Metallica worked so well with Michael Kamen. There's a symphony aspect there that horns or an orchestra just meshes with perfectly.

Dude has such an AMAZING EAR and sense of rhythm...this sounds like an original except that I can hear a very very subtle difference between audio quality between the two tracks, which can’t be helped and if I had never lived with a sound engineer I probably wouldn’t have noticed. Amazing work!

the king of metal would have to be Iron Maiden or Dio even if MEtallica coula compare to them they still wouldn't hold the title as they play thrash, now king of thrash metal is more in their reach, except it isn't as the title is currently held by basically any of the other big four

I've been listening to mashups for a few hours and I came to conclusion, metal blends in perfectly with just about every genre
I reckon it's mostly because they have pretty consistent slow riffs
