This has been a high request and I really agree lol This interview is the best one of Buppesannivas cast so far. It's SO funny that's why I wanted to sub it so badly. If I made any mistake on the language, I'm sorry in advance for my English. Hope you guys enjoy it :)
Language explanation
- P' = to call someone older. It's needed and has to be used every time to show respect. Calling someone older without using P' is very rude.
ex. Punjan calls Pope "P'Pope" even when they were jokingly insulting each other or P' can be used alone without names
- Nong = to call someone younger (not needed)
ex. Punjan calls Prang "Nong Prang"
- Ai = A prefix placed in front of someone's name when insulting. Mostly used with close friends. Can't be used to call someone older, it's very rude.
ex. Pope calls Punjan Ai Pun and sometimes calls Bella Ai Bell, and doesn't call them "Nong", shows how close they are
Explanation
1. At 8:44 and 12:59 Pope said to Punjan "It's Pope" which is probably their thing cause these two are very close. My guess is it's kind of like "It's Pope, your friend, so don't tease me" smth like that, same as what Punjan said at 10:12 "It's Nong!" Calling himself Nong is even more to make Pope feel like he's the younger one and shouldn't be teased. I find this thing VERY CUTE

Thanks for the sub. After BPS, I'm a fan of Pope now. Have watched his other dramas as well. Like Juthatep series & Ruk Ok Rit. Gonna watch Sapai Jao & LRT next. Anyway, I assume you're Pope's fan too right? Do you know he's under which agency management & what is the address? I mean as international fan, that's the only way I could reach him to give birthday gift, letters or something. I really don't know where to find the infos. Pope is very low key in real life. 😊

doitharry can u please tell me I love you in thai language ?sometimes I heared they say phom rak khun but sometimes like not that.
Lyin Siu Hi! It depends on the person who says it and the person you're talking to as well. To say "I love you" in Thai, the 3 words "I", "Love", and "You" are in the same order as English "I-love-you" but the difference is there are many words for "I" and "You". The word "Rak" means love, so this one stays in the middle, but for "I" and "You" I'll give you examples of the most common ones.
"I" mostly depends on your gender.
Words that mean "I"
- Chan (Actual meaning of "I" and it's for any gender but mostly women use it)
- Phom (For men only, sounds polite)
- Ku (Bad word for "I", mostly used with close friends)
- Nu (Used by girls when talking to older people)
"You" depends on who you're talking to
Words that mean "You"
- Tur (Actual meaning of You)
- Khun (To call someone politely)
- Mueng (Bad word for "You", mostly used with close friends)
So you'll mostly hear "Chan Rak Tur" / "Phom Rak Khun" (Only for men to say) or "Chan Rak Khun", all of these are the same thing, just different because of the gender or the way you speak.
Ps. As in Buppesannivas, Thai people in that era use "Kha" as "I" and "Aor Jao" and "You", so if they said "I love you", it would be "Kha Rak Aor Jao"
