Wow so they sang I can wait forever and I can't let you go live this must have been one amazing concert. It sucks because I was so close and yet I wasn't there. I'm from New York and I was living there at the time and I was so close to Westbury I could have gone to the concert. I never went to concerts till 1985 so it really sucks so close but so far
This is currently what I'm listening to and singing along when I wake up, start the engine and before going to bed. Such a beautiful and addictive song. Long live and God bless both gentlemen!
"I Can Wait Forever" was the only single song of Air Supply in 1984. The band doing concert in 1983 and 1984. In 1985, they released the self titled album "Air Supply" consisted the song: The Power of Love, Just As I Am, I Can't Let Go, and When the Time is Right.
key is a little lower than the studio.. but still sounds beautiful! what a beautiful voice Russell.. A great influence to me. much love from one of your greatest fan.
This is a really interesting observation. I was listening to a live version they started to do again in 2023. Russell of course is singing much lower, even lower than the one here. But I actually prefer it. It sounds better. I wonder why them him sing so high in the studio. The other singer that would have pulled this off beautifully in a lower register is Karen Carpenter.
@@techandmusic6922It's simply because they reserving Russell's voice for many upcoming tours to please fans in every concert without loosing his voice and falling into hoarseness!

Absolutely love this. I wish they’d put all their old rare recordings in a box set.
Es dificil encontrar canciones en vivo de air supply en su epoca de oro, este registro es maravilloso.
We've reached the age where any live recording of their songs in the 1980s MUST be treasured at all costs. Thank you so much for sharing this!

It's the same key. But if you're referring to the transition part, then you're right. It still sounds beautiful.
