It’s just a genuine pleasure to see tradesmen that take this much pride in their work and not just wanting to chip off early or cut corners. The world needs more tradespeople like you lot 👍
Just had a 4x2 porch built and 4 months in there's still no roof on it! Nice to see builders who know their trade unlike Amber Valley Builders who let people down.
And people moan about what genuine trades people charge. They obviously don't know the headwork that goes into these jobs, even the smallest ones. Excellent video guys, well done.
I really how you take your time and care, keeping out the snots putting the insulation in without any gaps fully insulating. Excellent work! By the way where are you lads based?
What an amazing job you done, I’ve subscribed on this first video I’ve seen, you guys have made every point of that build blend in with the house it could not be better
Cracking video Lads , This video shows Every aspect of the trade and is really helpful, Just a quick question as I am thinking of doing the same on my property But coming out the front 1m and around the side the same as this to add a downstairs toilet , do you need Planning permission ? Thankyou Kurt
Really beneficial to tape the insulation, as especially with the 20mm air gap, if there is any air movement through the slab joints then, it's effectively not there!
Love the very comprehensive videos 👌. Always great to a company engineering out manual tasks that involve bending over and back breaking tasks. Top notch 👍
Great work, I would like to see more thought go into cold bridges. Filling the bottom of the void with concrete and the steel interfaces stuck out to me. All depends on the clients spec obviously.
Bootiful...👍😀. Question - I thought it was good practice to leave two courses gap from under a window frame to top of rafter? Looks you like you were tight to the window sill?
cant find a video anywhere on it but would be great to see you guys do a video on replacing a concrete lintel above a door/window. I have no joy getting a builder out to do it and would be great to see how you guys would go about doing it.
I'm sure things were done correctly before the video began but viewers should be aware that excavations within three metres of a neighbouring property, to a level lower than their existing foundations, is notifiable under the Party Wall etc Act 1996. This appears to be the case in for the project shown. Also, digging a trench parallel to and close to the external walls of one or more buildings, to a depth significantly lower than the existing foundations, can be very dangerous with the real possibility of structural collapse. The foundation for this new Porch structure only passed between the buildings for a short length, so this may not have been a problem (or trench propping may have been used) but excavation any further between these buildings would need a specially engineered approach. If in doubt, consult a Chartered Structural Engineer and use their design in your Party Wall Act notice.
Yes, I totally agree. I'm not a builder so don't deem to know any better. However I am very surprised you are allowed to build so close to the neighbouring property. You would not get away with that in Scotland. The space between the two properties has to be a specific distance. Even from a fire point of view. The work though is tremendous. The attention to detail is fabulous. Skill.
Brick saw is a nice bit of kit, good job on the porch lads although I was thinking when you were below dpc that the mortar looked a bit light in cement but great uploads👍
Hi S Coyle much appreciated, we always gauge below DPM 3in1 above 5in1 infill 5in1 but the sand from the quarry at the moment is quite red all the best Tony 👍
At point 16.38 when Tony explaining the roof design you said you were going to put a back box in but I can't see one in the finished roof. Could you explain what you meant. Thanks.
Was on the tools today (I do it mainly on the side atm ) nice work just nice seeing a good job done came together well I was surprised as to the amount of roof batons used I'm assuming that's a reg thing
It’s just a genuine pleasure to see tradesmen that take this much pride in their work and not just wanting to chip off early or cut corners.

I totally agree Paul. Thank you for the uploads, and deffo a sub from me.
Wow. Perfectly matched the house. Looks like it was there all along.
I watch this video so regularly lol. It’s like that porch has always been there. Lovely brick match and unrivalled attention to detail.

Absolutely fantastic work be it a small porch add on or huge double storey extension. 🤩 Great video. 👍
👍👍
Another high quality build. 👊🏻.
I see those lads are still making good use out of that quality tool you designed, so you must be on a winner there.
@@amazing451 Tony has been very supportive and genuinely likes the square. I’m very grateful for his support.
Thanks mate! Hope all is well! 👍
@@BuildWithAE all very good thanks. 👊🏻
Hope the same your end.
Super job as always. Love watching the work put into every project ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Really beneficial to tape the insulation, as especially with the 20mm air gap, if there is any air movement through the slab joints then, it's effectively not there!
Very nice job!
Great job, looks amazing👌shame you didn’t do a 2 part vid with a bit more on steelwork and roof build, just being moany as I wanted to see those🤣🤣
Thanks for watching dude! Something for us to focus on for a future project definitely 😉👍
Love the very comprehensive videos 👌. Always great to a company engineering out manual tasks that involve bending over and back breaking tasks. Top notch 👍

No cavity tray needed?
Or cutting out the cavity on the house brickwork
Very instructive, I know feel fully qualified to build my own porch extension.
Thanks for watching! 👍
Tasty work as always, good crew of lads know what there at
Much appreciated 👍👍
Didn't see the cavity made being extensive with the existing walls. Best practice is to cut in a vertical dpc at the wall abutments.
Stunning porch, great job.
Thanks Bob! 👍
Awesome job guys 🏴
👍👍
Great work boys!

Bootiful...👍😀. Question - I thought it was good practice to leave two courses gap from under a window frame to top of rafter? Looks you like you were tight to the window sill?
Now that's what I call epic
Thanks Ubi! 👍
How thick is the insulation please? Also what is the air gap after insulation and outer wall? Thanks
Cracking video lads, as per usual...
Glad you enjoyed it 👍
Can I ask how you would colour match the compo for older brickwork.
Speak to mortar company they will match it all the best Tony 👍
Top job as always boys 👏👏
Glad you enjoyed it 👍👍
Cavity tray to existing wall above new roof abutment?
As usual great team work.
Thank you 😊

Cured mortar looks impeccable. What mix ratio are you using and what colour sand?
Brick saw is a nice bit of kit, good job on the porch lads although I was thinking when you were below dpc that the mortar looked a bit light in cement but great uploads👍
Hi S Coyle much appreciated, we always gauge below DPM 3in1 above 5in1 infill 5in1

Excellent work! If I ever live in the UK and need something done, I know where to go!
Thanks for watching! 👍

Que trabalho incrível. Parabéns!
Nice job!
How tight was the lead under the side window?
I am watching for the skills and commentary so find having to turn the volume up and down to avoid the music a pain otherwise thanks for these videos.
Old style upvc? Beading gets fitted internally for years now ?
What make is that square your using at 19:17
Hi, great job. Do you cover London?
hello, how much cost licence for building control please?
thank you
Nice job! 👍😊
