With all the hard work of Hyun bin, the other cast members and the director, Woo Min ho, making this film and promoting it in the cold of mid winter, I am glad that it has been popular with the Korean people. I will certainly go to see it when it comes to Sydney at the end of January. It must be devastating however for the cast and crew to see that the booklet marking the 80th year anniverssry of the liberation of Korea from colonial rule at the end of WWII erased the history of those patriots including Ahn Jung geun, who fought and died to regain their country's sovereignty. The Spanish philosopher, George Santayana purportedly said "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it".
