    Summary:
On September 6, 2022, Rabbi Meir Soloveichik launched a new daily podcast, Jerusalem 365, in which he tells the 4,000-year history of the most interesting, spiritually dynamic city in the world.
To mark this momentous occasion, Tikvah has convened a series of conversations between Rabbi Soloveichik and important public leaders, to discuss their unique connections to the Holy City-“What Jerusalem Means To Me.” Through these wide-ranging discussions, we’ll come to learn what makes Jerusalem so important to people of all walks of life, and understand why a podcast like Jerusalem 365 is so essential right now.
In this video, Rabbi Soloveichik speaks with the political commentator and co-founder of the Daily Wire, Ben Shapiro. An Orthodox Jew, Shapiro has written extensively about Jerusalem and its connection to the West and America, most prominently in his 2019 book, The Right Side of History. In this conversation, he and Rabbi Soloveichik discuss Jerusalem’s unique place in history, what message the Holy City may have for modern society today, and what it’s like to walk the city streets and ascend the Temple Mount.

    "l'hachis" == to antagonize
the self-pity echoed by the jewish-american right is abhorrent
    we control it
but if we push it, we'll lose it

Time to be saved is short, now is the day of salvation, tomorrow could be forever too late.
"The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God." Psalms 14:1.
"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment." Hebrews 9:27.
"And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." Revelation 20:15.
"For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not." Ecclesiastes 7:20.
"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one" Romans 3:10.
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23.
We must be brought to true repentance in salvation, coming to the knowledge of the truth that we are not good, but ungodly, guilty, hell deserving sinners, who are totally lost and ruined in our sins before a Holy and righteous God, and powerless to save ourselves.
We must see we cannot be saved by any works or doings of our own, and trust only in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ, (God manifest in the flesh) His atoning blood/finished work of the cross to save.
"Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else." Isaiah 45:22.
"what must I do to be saved? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved." Acts 16:30-31.
"I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you:
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures." 1 Corinthians 15:1,3-4.
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10.
If truly saved there will be the bearing of good fruit in thought, word and deed of being changed by God.
Saved not only from the eternal penalty of our sin but it's habitual power, being made a new creature in Christ who desires Holy worship to a Holy God in Spirit and in truth.
Seeking to grow in grace and in the truth of God's Holy Word, conforming more to Christ and His Word and not to this world.
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17.
“Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world” Titus 2:12.
