@@takodabeatbox it's perfectly fine if he doesn't like it, that's the individuals taste and is not a problem at all. however u ask how it is serving their art and I would ask the artists that, their art their choice, it might not be to some people's taste but might also be something others enjoy, neither is right/wrong or better/worse just different, and if you disagree with it that's fine, if you would do it differently then do. i don't think the intent of a hype drum and bass drop is necessarily to send a good message though 🤣"system overpowered you don't know what's coming next and it's climate change so we should all reduce our carbon footprint" doesn't quite hit as hard does it

Syjo deserved top 3! I searched for reactions of his wildcard as much as possible, and even here, from the words of a judge, Nobody has anything of negative to say about Syjo! Not a single one!
it´s not because there is nothing negative that people can´t rank above him. And there is always a subjective part in the judging that you have to take in consideration.
@@pulpoo059 I totally agree! Few minutes after I wrote this comment, I re-listened to all the top 10 wildcards and really tried to compare them in every listenable way that I was able to talk about. In my point of view (of cours subjective), I would have ranked them by pairs of two : - Brez and Dice definitely in first places (who between the two, I don't know) - then, Syjo and Josh O (It's really interesting to compare the strong points between those two) - then AVH & Robin (I would slightly put AVH over him, especially because of the mix) - then Matej in 7th place - then Epos and Lennard (at the present moment, I still don't know who between those two I would over the other ^^) - then Mirsa in 10th. Nonetheless, I really think that each one of those who got in the top 10 deserved to be in it :))
I think Syjo could have gotten higher if he had a little less going on. It feels just a bit much. There are so many changes. Maybe too many. And the "kick" was a little off. But i hear that in many Syjo songs. On of his "weak" spots of not his only one. 🤷🏻♂️ Still would have loved to see him going higher. 🫶🏼 He surely will with the second round.
It is an important point (for me) that clean lyrics sound much better, there is no need to curse so you can show your style or anything it is called! Much respect, sir♥️👍🏾

First of all, please stop singin, if you can't sing. I appreciate the guts to make dnb tracks with loopstations, but it really doesn't work for me and I've been listening to dnb since more than 20 years. Biggest problem here is, no breaks, the beats are way too repetitive and way too simple for dnb. Where are all the little finesse and differentialities that make dnb such a great genre? You really cant make a good dnb beat with only 1 kick, 1 hihat, 1 snare and 1 bassline, it's just not enough.
Yeah I feel the same about the singing, but I kind of get why they dont want to kill an artist over it, since its more about their use of the loopstation. Bottom line though, if you cant sing well it will hold you back in a competition.
Another thing, the Loopstation DNB is very good, it isnt just "no breaks" or "repetitive beats" either, you clearly havent watched most of the loopstation tracks ni the scene, but even so, being someone who makes and listens to dnb on the daily, the genuine tracks are arguably more if not on par with these tracks in terms of elements, only people like camo/krooked, koven, noisia etc have tons of aspects in their tracks

Making a track with one kick, 1 hihat, 1 snare, 1 bassline etc is very possible and is done a lot in the EDM scene.
