Ring of Honor (ROH) is a professional wrestling promotion recently acquired by Tony Khan, CEO of AEW, Chief Football Strategy Officer of the Jacksonville Jaguars and GM/Sporting Director of Fulham F.C. The acquisition, which was completed through an entity that is wholly-owned by Tony Khan, included ROH’s extensive video library dating back to 2002, brand assets, intellectual property, production equipment and more.
With more than 20 years of rich wrestling history, ROH has launched the careers of numerous AEW stars, including CM Punk, Bryan Danielson, Hangman Page, Dr. Britt Baker, Adam Cole, Samoa Joe, among others. Additional members of the AEW roster have made their mark in ROH, including the late Brodie Lee, The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson), Jon Moxley, Kenny Omega, Scorpio Sky, ReDragon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly), Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Trent Beretta), Jay Lethal, Christopher Daniels, Matt Sydal, Mercedes Martinez, Serena Deeb, Frankie Kazarian, Keith Lee, Eddie Kingston, Evil Uno, QT Marshall, Danhausen, Lance Archer, Griff Garrison, Thunder Rosa, Wheeler Yuta, Luchasaurus, Orange Cassidy, Ethan Page, Austin Gunn, PAC, Kip Sabian, John Silver, Alex Reynolds, Jerry Lynn, BJ Whitmer, Ace Steel and Sonjay Dutt.
ROH’s current list of champions includes ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli, ROH World Television Champion Samoa Joe, ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta, ROH World Tag Team Champions FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) and ROH Women’s World Champion Mercedes Martinez. Tony Khan’s purchase of ROH signifies a new chapter in the future of professional wrestling as AEW’s meteoric rise continues to draw the youngest-skewing wrestling audience on television.

Another fun fact. Raven was born September 8th, Punk was born on October 26th. If you take 26-8 you get the number 18. MJF was born on March 15th. If you subtract 18-15 you get the number 3. THREE meaning Punk, Raven, and MJF. Pretty spooky when you think about it.

I grew up in an alcoholic home. It sucked at times. Really sucked at times, but there were some times when there was sobriety and love. I chose to remember the good things. I haven't forgotten the other "bad", "miserable", heartbreaking times, I just choose to not dwell on it. When I did I almost lost my family. I told this person that I wouldn't watch him kill himself. I got a call that he was in bad shape. I almost didn't go and see him, but I was convinced, THANKFULLY to go there. He went into rehab for the umpteenth time that night. He said it was for my birthday. I said go for YOU, NOT me! He went in, I took him. A few days later he fell into a coma. For 20 days I had my family in critical care in two different hospitals. He came out of the coma almost 3 weeks later. He was critical but stable. He lived. My Mom lived. I spent my nights working 10p-7:30am. Then I'd fly to the hospital to see my Mom. They let me in early because of the situation. I spent time with her, then about 11:00am or so I'd go 30+ miles across town to my Dad's hospital. I'd spend another couple hours, sometimes more with him. Then home by 4 or 5pm. Sleep for 3 or 4 hours and back at it. After he left critical care we learned his insurance had been used to its maximum? He was sent home? WTF? He couldn't walk yet. The first night he fell and split his head open. I took him to the hospital my Mom and I went to. They stitched him up and kept him overnight, then the same insurance crap came up! My Mom was not doing good either. Again worked 10p-7:30am, home, got my Mom her medications, checked her blood-sugar, fixed her breathing machine/nebulizer, made her breakfast, sat with her for a little bit, then off to my Dad's place. He would stay with us because he smoked, and my Mom was on oxygen. Selfish? A little. So he lived maybe 2 miles away. I'd get over to his place by 8:15-8:30. Sometimes a buddy would come and help me. I'd make his ☕coffee☕, some toast and breakfast, and I'd wake him up. Not fun, not at all. He wasn't too thrilled with it. But I was persistent, and a little annoying. Cold 💧water🚰 , alarms. He'd get up. Then after an hour of b*tching we'd start the rehabilitation work. We'd go until 11:30, then back home for my Mom's lunch, meds, etc. Then back to my Dad's for lunch and another hour or two of rehabilitation. I'd make up a pot of coffee and one more for later. I'd make sure he was set. Phone nearby, bedside bbemoan, etc. Then I'd have supper ready for him, all within reach. Granted the supper was 🥪sandwiches🥪or a submarine sandwich, but it worked. Then home for my Mom's dinner, meds, etc. Then another two to four hours of sleep, then back to work. It was brutal, and I was exhausted. But I had made them a promise that if I could do it, I would NEVER put them in a home. For 2 months it was like this. My days off were spent sleeping 12 hours, from 7pm-7am. In the end however it all worked out. After a few weeks, his walking had improved, but by the end of two months he was doing really well on his own. During this time I became friends with my Mom and Dad. ALL of the BS, the misery, the bad memories were long forgiven. Again I never truly had forgotten them. I just chose to focus on the now, and the good things we had/have. I ended up later having to quit my job because my Mom needed 24/7 care. They gave me an ultimatum, my Mom or my job. I told them flat out, jobs come and go, jobs are everywhere, but FAMILY IS FOREVER! Irregardless of the past, the pain, the memories, or whatever you want to say about it, my Mom busted her @ss to take care of me. I REFUSED to not do the same for her. For close to 10 years I took care of them, the last three years my Mom was completely bedridden. I stayed with them until they both passed away. I have regrets, pain, and some other idiotic things I did after they passed away, but I loved them both and I realize that there are some things that parents can do that are unfixable or you can't make amends with them. I understand that and those situations are beyond pain. I saw drinking, infidelity, many many many MANY arguments, some went beyond just arguing. I'm not going to bad mouth anyone specifically. One person may have been the alcoholic, but everyone was involved in someway. The disease REALLY SUCKS! It is capable of destroying families, marriages, cause jail time, and worst of all, if you drive while you're drunk or under the influence of something else, and you're in a accident, you could end up killing someone, or even a family, a mother and her kids, a dad and his children. There is NOTHING on this planet worth that risk! Now there's an Opiate, well the Opiate epidemic has been coming since the 70's. They are FINALLY understanding it now?! Addiction is a disease. Using it for a story plot was somewhat difficult to tolerate. But I learned that some good may come from it? Maybe? But the wwe's idiocy of forcing an alcoholic to drink and relapse was over the line! As always Vince McMahon makes a mockery of things his company has been attributed to causing these same problems, in reality, not TV. My point is, Addiction is a extremely serious disease that affects EVERYONE, not just the addicted person, but again EVERYONE around him/her as well. The Opiate crisis is another addiction that has destroyed so many lives. Yes you could say addiction is "self-inflicted", but I've seen middle school kids who after raiding their Grandparents medicine cabinets, start to dabble and play and either OD or become addicted. Other people, from high school football, basketball, hockey, baseball players sustain a serious or series of injuries and are given Vicodin or Percocet for pain. Other people could be a Mom, a Dad, a teacher, a lawyer, a good decent person who was in a serious automobile accident and had to endure months of surgeries, rehabilitation, and was given morphine, and other strong pain medications. Some for over a year, or longer. Then they are taken off of it, some without any ⚠️warnings⚠️. Maybe the DEA, or some other health industry called and said something about it? Who knows but then these people are left with withdrawal symptoms that are beyond brutal. Some people actually would rather die than endure that. These people aren't alleyway "junkies" or the "typical homeless addicts/junkies" that are stereotyped by so many people. Meanwhile mothers and daughters, fathers and sons, brothers and sisters, Aunts and Uncles, nieces and nephews, co-workers and bosses, and every other combination you can think of ARE EXPERIENCING, HAVE EXPERIENCED, or WILL EXPERIENCE some type(s) of addiction. This is no longer a closet or hidden problem anymore. Hating your Dad, your Mom, a brother, or sister who became an addict or a alcoholic won't help or solve anyone's problems. I apologize for this long *ss comment, but living through it, with it, and around it, I've seen and heard so many painful stories, experiences, and losses. Life is too short and too precious to waste it on being bitter, angry, and filled with vengeance. Again I know that there are some things that can't be fixed. For that I am truly saddened that something that horrible happened to someone. I can't for a second comprehend what you went through, have gone through, and are still going through. Again I apologize about preaching, but while I am NOT a social justice warrior, I do feel that addictions need to become more than just under the breath comments. They need to be addressed front and center! If you have a loved one who's addicted, get HELP! You CAN'T do it alone. If you're going through addiction yourself, again, GET HELP! Don't ever give up! You CAN get through this! YOU ARE WORTH IT! LIFE IS WORTH IT! AND IT WILL BE BETTER WITH YOU IN IT! God Bless you all and please take care and enjoy life!

So, this match is pretty important. They need to push stuff on the TV while COVID-19 issues are going on. This match was the best in the Raven/Punk feud and after this, Punk was a made star and had his famous match with Samoa Joe, which really put ROH on the map. Without this feud, ROH may not have been the company it became.
If anyone from the office is viewing the comments, look into getting CM Punk and Raven for interviews and profile this feud. I feel this is what put the company on the map. Raven did an interview on the ROH Secrets of the Ring which they're not selling anymore, but Raven went into details about this match in particular. This made ROH, and it's one of my favourite ROH matches ever. I learned about how CM Punk was from the Raven feud and this was the best match of the feud.

Folks, look at the lost art of SELLING by Raven. When Dreamer gets him untied from the ropes, he collapses to the floor. He manages to stagger to his feet, crawl into the ring, and then he's still riding the ropes for a while to keep himself standing. That's the mark of a professional right there. I own all 5 of his RoH Secrets of the RIng DVDs, and they should be mandatory viewing for anyone that wants to be a wrestler.

@@tayojones9460 - no, it doesn't exist. People jump up after taking supposedly devastating moves. A guy can get his arm worked for a good part of the match and during his comeback he completely forgets that he's supposed to be hurt and the arm works fine. When there's only one of them in the ring, they look as lost and confused as a virgin at a whorehouse.
